atmosphere, we endeavour to build on the grand success of Chorus’ 15 which saw a footfall of
around 30,000 students from over 200 Colleges and Universities from all over the world!
The conglomerations of Indo-western entertainment and art-science troupes have always been
a regular feature of Chorus. The rendezvous has already featured some of the famous models
such as Nayanika Chatterjee, Montu Tomar, and Ritu Singh together with the Shudh Desi
Romance actress Vaani Kapoor and Miss India Earth “Prachi Mishra”. The succeeding
days promise an enticing mix of Dance, Music and Theatre. Famous dancers like Daksha Seth
who along with her troupe gave a scintillating Aerial dance performance at Chorus’ 10 have
been. Subsequent Chorus editions have featured MJ5 Dance Troop and other performers.
The three-day festival also promotes shows and competitions such as Gudd Guddi- The
Laughter Show, Illusion- The Magic show, Antakshri, Boardroom Battle fought by B-School
students, RJ Hunt, Collage Making, Tattoo Making and Street Play, thereby making Chorus a
complete youth fest. Adventure Sports, Go-Karting, Guest Lectures, workshops, LAN
gaming and more than 80 events cap the fest by providing the zing factor and make for a
truly fun-filled and rocking event. Every year we take a new step to conclude Chorus by
initiating a launch of forums and societies to deal with the burning issues concerning the youth
and their duties towards society and the nation.
For the realization of its aims and aspirations, Chorus hopes for support and encouragement
from you. Together we can and we will make a difference. With your support and guidance we
hope to take this endeavour to the highest level of excellence and envisage becoming a trend
setter for all other college festivals of the nation.

OUR VISION
Team Chorus is zealously determined to execute its dictum nostrum in providing the young
generation of India with a platform to realize and enhance their talents. We are committed to
encourage youth to achieve milestones beyond the skies. Talking about the youth the famous
Indian Poet-Philosopher Mohammad Iqbal said,
“Nhi tera nashemann kasr-e-sultani k gumbad par,
Tu shaheen hai basera kar pahado kay chattano par”
“Thy abode is not on the dome of a royal palace,
You are an eagle and should live on the rocks of mountains.”
To encourage youth to reach such heights Sharda University organizes the most beautiful and
the most awaited mega fest – “CHORUS aiming to disperse some life in the air and build up
an atmosphere where fun is kith and joy is kin. The mission of the Festival is "to bring the
community together" with unlimited fun.
Today we feel that we have succeeded in creating and structuring an event in which everybody
can be proud of participating. This counts to a footfall of around 40,000 people from different
parts of the country. We hope to continue this dream run!

standards in training our students, who must be at the core of
everything we do. We endeavour to prepare them for the modern day

thrilled and humbled by what the University has already achieved, but I believe we can never
rest on our laurels and we must always aim higher. Anything less is a disservice to our excellent
students, faculty & alumni.
Chorus 2016, being organized from March 11th to 13th, is a step towards enhancing the talents
and making the students excel in extracurricular activities. Thanks to Chorus students of our

THEME – “SPACE ENDEAVOUR”
Man has always been curious about nature. The moon, sky and stars have been a source of
fascination for years. From the beginning of the human race we have tried to study the space.
This curiosity has led to some major breakthroughs in this field in the by gone decades. The
first animal to space, the first man to step on moon, the mars rover and the new horizon to Pluto
are some of the major triumphs in the field of space explorations. This year we are going to
celebrate these accomplishments under the theme “Space Endeavour”. The three days of
Chorus will be engulfed by the celestial atmosphere.
Chorus team is committed to provide knowledge to students whilst having fun. Chorus, which
will commence from March 11th to March 13th, will see hundreds of stars from different
communities forming constellations of their respective institutes competing to come out
triumphant in the galaxy. Thus serving us as an encouragement towards our mission of
“bringing communities together”.
Let’s all get together to recognize the accomplishments of mankind in conquering the elusive
space.

DELHI IS A DELIGHT - SIGHTSEEING
1. Rashtrapati Bhavan:
The splendour of the Rashtrapati Bhavan is multi-dimensional. It is a vast mansion and its
archit picture is breath taking. More than these, it has a hallowed existence in the annals of
democracy for being the residence of the President of the largest democracy in the world.
Few official residential premises of the Head of the State in the world will match the
Rashtrapati Bhavan in terms of its size, vastness and its magnificence. India Gate and
Parliament House add to the picturesque beauty of Rashtrapati Bhavan.
2. Qutub Minar
Qutub Minar is a World Heritage Site and has survived the ravages of time impressively.
The Minar of Delhi is surrounded by a lush green garden, which is an ideal leisurely
place for visitors. Qutab Minar is the favourite destination of tourists. It is India's most
visited monument attracting around 3.9 million visitors every year.
3. Lotus Temple
The Lotus Temple, located in New Delhi, India, is a Bahá'í House of Worship completed
in 1986. Notable for its flowerlike shape, it serves as the Mother Temple of the Indian
subcontinent and has become a prominent attraction in the city. The Lotus Temple has
won numerous architectural awards and been featured in hundreds of newspaper and
magazine articles.
The structure is made up of pure white marble. The architect Furiburz Sabha chose the
lotus as the symbol common to Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Islam. Adherents of
any faith are free to visit the temple and pray or meditate.
4. Taj Mahal
The world renowned Taj Mahal is a distance of just 3 hours from Sharda University. The
Taj Mahal is the one of Seven Wonders of the World. This monument of love was built
