Very few people know who I truly am. I am an astronaut, mathematician, magician and most importantly a student. I explore the unknown, solve problems, pull things out of thin air and am never too old to learn something new. I aim to unearth and unravel problems, to amaze people and above all strive for perfection. It is of the utmost importance for me to relieve YOUR stress and accomplish YOUR tasks so you don’t have to. No need to worry; it’s my job and I do what I enjoy. My name is Joshua J. Skibbee and I am a Graphic Designer. ge Fashion Show LFashion zenovia Colle 39th Annual Ca ostin a TRIM Cazenovia College Fashion Show on Show o l l e g e Fa s h i Cazenovia C 39th Annual L a Fashion ost inFairy Tale Fairy Tale April 21, 2012 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Schneeweiss Athletic Complex About Contact U s 315.655.7043 [email protected] Lost in a Fashion Fairy Tale // Promotional Package (Design, Illustration, Photography) Tickets: Adult $10 Student $5 2012 Show Sponsor Tickets order tickets online at: www.cazenovia.edu/fashionshow *Vistaprint is not responsible for guides layer left in customer’s document April 21, 2012 Objective // A client based interaction with the fashion program at Cazenovia College in order to promote the student-directed 39th Annual Fashion Show. Store 12 A pr il 21 , 20 Lego Gift Wrap // Illustration/Package Design Objective // Create a collection of pieces featuring several themed seamless patterns of gift-wrap based on a concept of a ‘Lego Avalanche’ of bricks (Themes include: Legos For Christmas, Deep Sea Disarray and Pizza Pizza Everywhere). My target audience being anyone that enjoys creativity or has ever owned Legos, as well as aspiring to bring out the kid in everyone no matter how old. • 3 themed gift-wrap patterns • 3-pack gift wrap packaging Predator // Illustration/Poster Design Objective // Create an illustrated representation of a famous ‘movie monster.’ The outcome was my interpretation of the final fight scene in the 1987 cult classic Predator in movie poster form. My goal was to convey an ominous feeling while hinting as to what the movie was about. Accomplishing my objective through a gray scale color palette and minimal use of red to create a hierarchy of elements. CNY Freedom Makers // Poster Design (Contest Winner) Objective // Create a poster design to help raise awareness against human trafficking for the CNY Freedoms Makers and International Justice Mission (IJM) campaign. After researching human trafficking, I discovered a startling fact that about 136 people are forced into human trafficking per hour. I decided to focus on this statistic and illustrate it for greater impact. This poster was displayed at the ArtRage Gallery in Syracuse, NY. Copies were sold as donations to support the CNY Freedoms Makers and IJM campaign against human trafficking. 136 forced into slavery EVERY HOUR That’s 3,287 people sold everyday into human trafficking. The broadcast is available via the College’s cable system on televisions in REQUEST A SONG Objective // Cazenovia College Wildcat Radio (WITC) was in need for a new identity to replace their old outdated logo. The basis of my design was to convey a newer, more modern concept of the Cazenovia ‘Wildcats’ while still adhering to the college colors: blue and gold. The new identity expanded to include a variety of promotional pieces featuring an old cinder block wall that signified the radio stations’ location, which was in the basement of one of the campus buildings. • Logo • Magnet residence hall rooms, lounges, and in the Hubbard Hall lobby. 22 Sullivan St., Cazenovia, NY 13035, 800.654.3210 © Cazenovia College 2012 - Terms of Use - Privacy Statement WITC 88.9 FM Wildcat Radio (88.9 FM) proudly presents the . . . Basic Element // Identity System (Design) Objective // Construct a successful multiple-component brand identity featuring aspects of both print and digital collateral. Create a feeling of high-quality products with a position of effectiveness and affordable prices as well as convey a sense of complex science made simple (only the essentials). Accomplishing this position through dramatic imagery, bold slab-serif type and a clean and simple layout. • Logo • Packaging • Promotional Video • Magazine & Poster Ad • Smartphone App Concept • Promotional Giveaways • Direct Mail Piece • Web Design Cocoagraph Chocolate Bar // Avenged Sevenfold // Objective // Submit a design pertaining to Fall, October or Halloween to the Cocoagraph Fall Artist Contest (an artisan edible photograph chocolate bar printing company). Keeping in mind the small size (3.5”x3.5”) of the final chocolate bar was essential to creating the minimalistic yet bold winning design that best represented “Fall.” Objective // Create promotional materials for Avenged Sevenfold road tour featuring their fifth studio album titled Nightmare which expresses several terrifying dreams throughout its track list.
