Metro Bus Roadeo 2008
Juan Navarro, Operador de la División 3 de North Los Angeles
y los mecánicos de la División 5 Arthur Winston Andrew
Warren Jr., Rommel Vargas y Frank Forde salieron como
campeones en las categorías de Operadores y Mecánicos en
el Metro Bus Roadeo 2008 que se llevó a cabo en septiembre.
Estos campeones representarán a Metro en la competencia
internacional de 2009 programada para el próximo mes de
mayo en Seattle, Washington.
El equipo de mecánicos de la División Arthur Winston se llevó
el trofeo de mecánicos por quinta vez, algo sin precedentes.
Fue la decima competencia para el Operador Juan Navarro,

in the Operators and Mechanics categories at the 2008
Metro Bus Roadeo held in September.
These champions will represent Metro in the 2009
international competition set for next May in Seattle,
Washington.
The Arthur Winston Division mechanics team took
the mechanics trophy for an unprecedented >fth time.
It was the tenth competition for Operator Juan Navarro,
who scored more overall points to beat six-time champion
Mark Holland in a close race to the >nish.

the rail station validator when entering the train station.

Union Station 1979 – The Southern California Rapid Transit
District operated these AM General articulated buses out of the
West Hollywood Division from 1974 to mid 1983. In fact, where
the Pacific Design Center is now was part of the parking lot where
the articulated buses were parked. The buses served Santa Monica
Boulevard and Third Street.

Pasadena Marathon Set For Nov. 16
More than 8,000 participants are expected for the inaugural
Pasadena Marathon on Sunday, November 16 which
includes a Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K, Bike Tour, and
3.1-mile Fun Run/Walk.

the event to cause detours on about a dozen bus lines in
the Pasadena area. Check metro.net for the latest service

The course will take participants to Pasadena’s most
famous and recognized icons, including the Rose Bowl,
