2. GETTING TO ROME CITY CENTRE
From Rome Fiumicino Airport

By train (Leonardo Express)  to Termini Station:
Tickets: € 14.00
Fiumicino -> Termini Station
Every 30 minutes: from 6:37 to 23:37
Termini Station -> Fiumicino
Every 30 minutes: from 5:52 to 22:52
N.B.: Leonardo Express train makes no mid-journey stops. Route time: 35 minutes
By train (Regional Train)  to Tiburtina Station:
Tickets: € 8.00
Fiumicino > Tiburtina Station > Fiumicino (every 15 minutes from Monday to Saturday, every 30 minutes
on Sundays)
Route time: 47 minutes
By Shuttle Bus:
The bus line Terravision Shuttle Bus connects Fuimicino Airport with Termini train station.
Tickets: €9 one way or €15 return (cheaper prices available on the web), total duration: 60 minutes. Other
companies also operate this route.
By taxi:
There are fix fares from downtown to the airport. City centre to Fiumicino and vice-versa ranges around
€48. Luggage fee is around 1 euro per bag. Be aware that Fiumicino is outside of city limits, therefore the
starting fare from the airport is higher (2nd price range), however the driver should switch back to fare 1 as
soon as you reach the ring road (G.R.A) signalling the entrance to city limits. You can also opt for a shared
taxi (door-to-door): www.airportshuttle.it and book online and a single fare €25 (from Fiumicino airport to
the hotel).

By bus (non-stop transfer to Termini station):
Rome Ciampino airport can be reached via different bus routes. Daily direct connections between the
airport and FS Roma Termini station are guaranteed by the bus services operated by ATRAL, COTRAL,
SIT and TERRAVISION. The buses are parked in dedicated bus bays by the exit for International
Departures. Tickets can be bought directly from the bus driver.
By train:
The nearest railway station is Ciampino Città station, connected to/from the airport by the following buses:
COTRAL/SCHIAFFINI. Both buses depart every 30 minutes and tickets can be bought in the bus and on
the ground and they cost € 1,20. The travelling time is about 5 minutes. From Ciampino Città station, you
can take a train to Termini station. Departures are frequent (every 15 minutes) and it takes about 20
minutes.
By metro:
The nearest metro station is Anagnina, connected to/from the airport by buses COTRAL/SCHIAFFINI
leaving every 30 minutes. Once at Anagnina, take the line A (red line), which makes several stops in the
city centre, including Termini station.
By taxi:
There are fix fares from downtown to airports. City center to Ciampino and vice-versa cost 30 Euros.
Luggage fee is about €1 per bag.
3. GETTING TO THE HOTELS

By bus:
From Termini train station (bus terminal):
Take bus n° 310 (direction VESCOVIO) for 5 stops and get off at the stop
“UNIVERSITA'/REGINA ELENA”. The hotel is 2 minutes walk from the bus stop (see map 1 )
From Tiburtina train station (bus terminal):

Take bus n° 163; or 448; or 545; or 492 for 3 stops. Get off at TIBURTINA/CASTRO
LAURENZIANO. Walk up Via del Castro Laurenziano until you reach Viale Ippocrate – (it is a 5
minute walk). (see map 2)
By metro:
From Termini Station: Take Metro B -- direction “Rebibbia /Conca d’oro” for 2 stops. Get off at
POLICLINICO. The hotel is 5-10 minutes walk from the Metro station (see map 1).
From Tiburtina Station: Take Metro B -- direction “Laurentina” for 2 stops. Get off at
POLICLINICO. The hotel is 5-10 minutes’ walk from the Metro station (see map 1).
On foot:
The hotel is 20-25 minutes’ walk from both Termini (see map 1) and Tiburtina Train Station.

3. GETTING AROUND
Public transport tickets cost 1.50 EUR (70 min multiple trip). Tickets are sold at Tobacconist shops and

Take bus n° 490, 491, 495. Get off at LEGA LOMBARDA/PROVINCIE (yellow point on map).
Turn left on Viale delle Provincie – (it is a 5 minute walk).
By metro:
From Termini Station: Take Metro B -- direction “Rebibbia /Conca d’oro” for 3 stops. Get off at
BOLOGNA. The hotel is 5-10 minutes walk from the Metro station – just walk down Viale delle
Provincie (see map above).
From Tiburtina Station: Take Metro B -- direction “Laurentina” for 1 stop. Get off at BOLOGNA.
The hotel is 5-10 minutes’ walk from the Metro station (see map above) – just walk down Viale
delle Provincie.
Suggestion: it is not worth taking the metro from Tiburtina Station, it is esier to walk.
On foot:
The hotel is 25 minutes’ walk from Termini (see map 1) and 10 minutes’ walk from Tiburtina Train
Station.

Take bus n° 492 for 9 stops. Get off at CASTRO PRETORIO/MONZAMBANO stop (yellow point
on map). Walk down viale dell’Università until you reach the hotel (red flag on the map) – (it is a 5

By metro:
From Termini Station: Take Metro B -- direction “Rebibbia /Conca d’oro” for 1 stops. Get off at

The meeting will be held at:

5. GETTING TO THE RESTAURANT (DINNER, THURSDAY 21 MAY)

The restaurant is located inside Villa Torlonia park (see map on page 10). It is walking distance from all
hotels indicated above. It can also be easily reached by metro (Metro B – POLICLINICO STOP) or by bus
(n.90) from Termini central station.
