On behalf of all of us at Yas Marina and Camper &
Nicholsons Marinas it gives me great pleasure welcoming
you to experience the 2013 race weekend with us here
at Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi. This year represents the fifth
annual Race Weekend event and this year are pleased to
have extended our partnership with Yas Marina Circuit,
to ensure that the Yas Marina Guest Pass now offers
more than ever before including access to the Oasis
areas of the Yas Marina Circuit grandstands and much
more. The new look passes go hand in hand with our
newly developed shore side destination which now boasts
seven licensed food and beverage offerings, all with al
fresco terraces and panoramic marina views, a children’s
playground, interactive musical fountain and a brand new
management office with bathrooms and shower facilities
for members.

The following guide highlights the important information
which we require you to review carefully before your
arrival at Yas Marina and provides some information on logistics, transport, dining and entertainment
options. This will help you in your preparations to get to both Yas Island and Yas Marina itself. Due to
the popularity of this international motor sports event, there will be high levels of traffic and security both
getting to and whilst on the island.
We advise you to plan your journey to arrive in time for the race and we will be welcoming race week
boats to the marina from the 27th October onwards, with departures scheduled from the 4th November
onwards. We remain committed to guest satisfaction, and urge you to adhere to the guidelines to help
enjoy your experience. Please remember to review the contract carefully before you visit the marina and
ensure that you will be responsible for your guests throughout the week. Our team is dedicated to making
this event as enjoyable as possible for you, your family, friends and guests.

WHY YAS MARINA
A WORLD CLASS MARINA
Located in the heart of the Yas Marina Circuit with berthing adjacent to the award
winning race track, the award winning marina has a capacity of 190 permanent
vessels ranging between 8 meters and 90 meters. In addition, Yas Marina has
visitor berthing for super yachts of up to 150 metres. During the 2013 race week,
the marina will play host to a number of the world’s top 100 yachts.

Located in the heart of the Yas
Marina Circuit, the marina is a full
service, modern facility providing a
range of services at the highest level,
with world class amenities on the
doorstep.
During race week the marina comes
to life with entertainment to match
the spectacular trackside views,
offering the ultimate racing and
boating experience!
There is no music permitted after 2am every morning. This is in
order to accommodate you neighboring vessel guests and the
Yas Viceroy guests.
Operation of vessel tenders during the event will only be
allowed within the marina boundaries.
We anticipate as many as 5,000 Yas Marina guests per day
of the event. With that many guests, it is critical that certain
procedures are maintained in order to maximize everyone’s
security and enjoyment.
All Yas Marina guests must wear their ‘Guest Pass’ outside of
their clothing at all times while on the marina.
All Yas Marina guests are subject to the Marina’s rules and
regulations and the Formula 1 supplemental marina rules and
regulations (Vessel owners and operators are requested to
provide their guests with the same). Use of personal water craft (jet skis etc.) and personal
transporters (Segways) is strictly prohibited within and around
Yas Marina.
Parking on Yas Island and at Yas Marina will be limited to
parking pass holders only. Valet parking will be available
at a fee.
Abu Dhabi Coast Guard may conduct a security inspection of
Yas Marina, or any vessel berthed within it, any time on or after
30th October.
Once berthed at Yas Marina, no vessel movement will
be allowed.
From the 4th November, all vessels are free to enjoy
Abu Dhabi waters, but of course remain subject to all
local and federal regulations.

Waste Pump Out (3am – 8am)
Waste pump out will be available on berths 36 to 53. All others
berths within the marina (without direct access to a pump out
connection on the pedestal) will be serviced by a mobile pump
out service. Captain’s should pre-book this service 24 hours
beforehand with the marina within the above timing.

For health and safety regulations, ONLY Yas Marina Club Cars
will be allowed into Yas Marina this year– NO personal or
charter club cars will be allowed onto Yas Marina at any time.
If you wish to have a personal club car with driver for you and
your guests, this year you will be able to rent a personal Club Car
with driver through Yas Marina. Bookings for an exclusive club car
with driver for use throughout the weekend are available for AED
15,000 on a first come, first serve basis.

Water and Power (24 HOURS)
Power and water is supplied to all berths within the marina and
visitor berth. Please ensure that you review your power
requirements before arriving at Yas Marina and have your

Ice Machine (8AM – 12AM)
Ice can be delivered directly to your boat between 8am – 11am.
To arrange, please call 800 MARINAS (within the UAE). Ice is sold
in 5kg bags and can be purchased through a voucher system.
Vouchers can be purchased from the Marina Office at a cost of
150 AED for a book of 10 vouchers (which works out to be 15
AED / 5kg bag of ice).

Boat Provisioning and Deliveries (6AM – 11AM)
Deliveries will not be permitted into Yas Marina after 11am.This
is in order to allow the marina management to accommodate
guest transport throughout the day. Delivery drop off is permitted
between gates 3 & 5.

Marina Access
Pedestrian access to the marina will be via the following gates:
Gates 2, 3,5,and 14 and visitor berth gangways T1, T2, T3 and
T4. Security will check guest and crew passes, guests without
passes will not be given entry. The marina promenade, bars and
restaurants will not require passes and will be open to the public.

Club cars will operate on top of the gangways and will be on a

the services map.

The marina staff are available 24 hours a day and can be contact
by calling 800 MARINAS (627 4627) within the UAE.

All vessels must arrive at Yas Marina between Monday 28th
October – Wednesday 30th October, 2013. All vessels must
arrive by 6pm on Wednesday 30th October, 2013. Vessels
booked for Race Week must depart from Yas Marina on Monday
4th November, 2013 (unless prior arrangements have been
made, however attractive visitor rates for short and long term stays
are also available). Note – boats will not be permitted to leave
before Monday 4th November.
Large Screens Broadcasting the Race
Locations of screens are shown on the service map on the right.
These screens will broadcast a live feed of the race throughout
the weekend.

The 2013 Formula 1 Grand Prix will take place between 1st
November – 3rd November, 2013, with track walks taking
place on the 31st October.

TRAFFIC & CAR PARKING PROCEDURES
Car Parking (24 hours)
Parking and vehicle access within Yas Marina is strictly regulated
and controlled in conjunction with the Abu Dhabi Police and no
parking is permitted within the Yas Marina Grounds (with the
exception of Yas Marina VIP Car Park Pass Holders).
Yas Marina operates 2 car parks as follows:
Yas Marina S4 Car Park (exterior carpark)
Access is restricted to the following:
• Yas Marina Guest Car Park Holders - free of charge
(see pass allocation chart to confirm your allocation)
• Valet Car Parking (1 x free VIP Valet Parking pass is provided to
annual members with their ticket allocation to use this car park).
All other valet parking is available for a fee of
100 AED / car / day.
• Access is via the main road signal
(not the marina roundabout)
Yas Marina VIP Car Park
There is a very small limited amount of parking available within
the marina itself which is restricted exclusively to Yas Marina VIP
Car Park Pass holders only. (Please note that due to the restricted
number of spaces, Yas Marina annual members will be given 1 x
free VIP Valet Parking pass for use in the S4 car park, rather than
the interior car park).
Shuttle Bus Service
A number of different shuttle services will operate on Yas Island
and in Yas Marina during the event and these are described
as follows:
Yas Marina Shuttle Bus
Yas Marina will operate a shuttle service from the S4 car park
to the roundabout inside the marina near building 1. This will
operate on a continuous cycle 24 hours a day and will be clearly
signed and the main transport in and out of the marina.
Yas Marina Circuit Circular
Yas Marina Circuit will run the Circuit Circular bus service which
is an inter-island bus shuttle visiting all of the island attractions
including the Du Arena where the concerts are held and is the
easiest way to arrive at and return from the nightly concerts.
Taxis
Taxis are available on Yas Island and can be booked by calling
600 535353 (from within the UAE) or +971 2 417 3888
(outside the UAE). Private limousines and luxury cars are also
available to pre-book by calling +971 2 444 7787.
Taxis will be permitted entry to Yas Marina to drop off at the
interior marina roundabout near building 1 and a taxi rank will
be available here also so that guests can collect taxis from this
point also.
Note: This year there will not be any crew passes provided,
however deliveries will be permitted daily between 6am-11am.
Delivery drivers will need to surrender their vehicle registration
card and mobile number before being permitted entry and this will
be returned upon exit.
Yas Marina Water Taxi (10AM – 2AM)
A regular water transport service operates between berth 94 on
the North side of the Marina, berth 143 (Paddock Club entry), the
Yas Viceroy Hotel and the Yas Marina promenade (gate 2).

provide you with general admission access to the nightly post race
concerts and the oasis areas of Yas Marina Circuit.

CATEGORY 1
Category 1 tickets are a great way to spend the weekend, offering
spectators the chance to watch all the track action from the
comfort of private, air-conditioned suites. Offered as an exclusive
three-day package (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and situated in
prime positions within the Main, West and North Grandstands,
Category 1 tickets are undoubtedly one of the most lavish ways to
enjoy the world’s most glamorous sporting event.
Category 1 tickets are offered as two privileged products.
Al Dhiyafa - This exclusive ticket package includes:
• Reserved seating in an outside balcony of the Main, North or
West Grandstands. Please note that seating is restricted to your

YAS VICEROY PACKAGES
Enjoy the excitement of the Grand Prix from one of the most

private balcony, available for groups of up to 25 or 35 people.
MARINA BOXES (Marina Grandstand)
The Marina Boxes feature some of the finest panoramic views of
the track action and Yas Marina Yacht Club. You’ll be seated in
the comfort of your very own private box on the first floor of the
Marina Grandstand, with access to a dedicated balcony looking
out on the race, available for groups of 40 people. This is the
circuit’s most lively grandstand, and the plush setting will make
your experience an unforgettable one. Guests are offered canapes
and finger foods in the day and a silver service three-course meal
before the race. This package is ideal for entertaining valued
corporate clients, or for an outing with a large group of friends.
This experience can be bought as a 3-day ticket with a minimum
purchase of 40 PAX or as a 2-day ticket. Your three-day pass also
includes access to the Thursday Public Pit Lane Walk.
YAS MARINA PACKAGES
Yas Marina Bay Terrace is the perfect setting to host that event no
one will ever forget. Yas Marina Terrace offers panoramic balcony
views of the track over South Grandstand, the marina and private
balcony areas. Yas Marina Terrace can accommodate a group of
80 guests.
YAS TRACKSIDE TERRACE
From the first floor terrace of Yas Marina Circuit’s Headquarters
you can enjoy the excitement of the Grand Prix as the cars pass
by not more than 10 meters away, alternatively you can take
the elevator to the 7th floor to take in a panoramic 360 degree
view of Abu Dhabi and follow the cars from the ultimate elevated
viewing position. The Yas Trackside Terrace is perfect for a
place to host a meeting in style and wow as champions of the
boardroom.
FORMULA ONE PADDOCK CLUBTM
(Pit Building of Main Grandstand)
The F1® seasons must-have accessory, Formula One Paddock
ClubTM ticket. From the privileged surroundings, you can see the
concentration etched on the driver’s face, you can watch the
perspiration pouring off the chief engineer’s brow and you can
feel the excitement of the fans as they look on from the stands.
Enjoy privileged viewing positions, pit lane walks at specially
allotted times, an open bar serving the finest Champagne,
gourmet luncheons, VIP parking, and more.
This exclusive ticket package includes:
• Exclusive access to an informal club lounge area
• A host of benefits including private food and beverage outlets
from which you can purchase

TIER 3
ABU DHABI HILL FAMILY / GENERAL ADMISSION
Positioned opposite the North Grandstand trackside and adjacent
to Main Grandstand, Abu Dhabi Hill sits as one of Yas Marina
Circuit’s iconic landmarks. Spectators will have one of the
best views in motorsport as they watch the cars come up from
turn 2 into turn 3 with full views of turns 4, 5, 6, 7, the north
hairpin and longest straight in F1®. With open grass seating,
general admission ticket holders will also be able to access all
entertainment areas in the circuit including Yas Marina Yacht Club
and the F1® Village, as well as the after race concert of that
day’s ticket.
TIER 2
One day tickets, and family tickets and packages are now
available, and tickets are transferable between different people on
different days, allowing you to share them with family and friends.
THE LOUNGE / THE LOUNGE FAMILY
SOUTH GRANDSTAND
Lounge ticket holders will be able to watch all the Formula 1®
action from their reserved seat in the top level of the Grandstand.
Offered as 1-day, 2-day or 3-day tickets and situated in key
viewing areas in North and West Grandstands, the Lounge has the
exclusive club experience without the exclusive club price.
This stand offers one of the greatest panoramas in motorsport,
looking out over the Yas Viceroy Hotel, the Marina and the Yas
Marina Yacht Club.

MARINA GRANDSTAND
GRAND PRIX BRUNCH
This grandstand not only allows spectators to see GP2, GP3 and
the Porsche Mobile 1 Supercup action up close, with the support
pit garages sitting under the Marina Grandstand, but also allows
them to take in a broad sweep of the circuit including critical turns
around the marina.
A truly unique new addition to your F1® weekend. Experience true
luxury, personalised service and gourmet cuisine in the Marina
Suite. Grand Prix Brunch ticket holders will be able to enjoy
brunch at the circuit and watch F1® Practice Sessions 1 and 2 as
well as attend Friday night’s after race concert.
WEST GRANDSTAND
Patrons in this grandstand have a spectacular view as the cars
speed toward the West Grandstand down the circuit’s longest
straight at more than 300km/h. This grandstand also has a
unique run off area that disappears under the grandstand —
another feature that no other circuit has.

If you are planning to arrive early this year then you are in luck as
Yasalam will be kicking off the race week celebrations with a Yas
Marina activation. In conjunction with their Abu Dhabi Corniche
celebrations Yasalam is bringing family fun activities and live music to
Yas Marina on Thursday October 24 and Friday October 25. Access
to Yasalam will be free of charge and berthing between Thursday 24
October and Sunday 27 October will be complimentary to those with
F1 berthing packages.
PIT LANE WALK

Yas Marina pass holders have been invited to attend the Public Pit
Lane walk taking place on Thursday October 31. The Public Pit
Lane Walks will allow you to see the teams preparing their cars in
the garages for practice on Friday. Shuttle bus and boat services
are available from Yas Marina to the Yas Marina Circuit gates. Yas
Marina Circuit gates open at 12pm and close at 6pm on Thursday.
The circuit will not be open to the public outside of these times.
The Public Pit Lane Walk starts at 2pm and finishes at 4:30pm. Make
sure you arrive in plenty of time to avoid disappointment. Customer
queuing area will be closed at 3:50pm.

navigation purposes. All information should be verified by the
vessel’s master prior to making the transit from the Arabian Gulf
to Yas Marina.
Station located at Shamaliya Island
1. The most direct route from the Arabian Gulf to Yas Marina is
to enter Abu Dhabi inner-coastal waters at Mina Zayed and
transit southeast through the Umm Al Nar Channel towards Yas
Island.
2. Continue along that same course for approximately 6.5 n.m.,
and enter the Yas Channel at the intersection of Balrimayd
Island and Al Sammaliyah Island. When entering Yas Channel
please respect the cardinal meters.
3. Continue within the channel bearing south-southeast until
passing the Aldar HQ building (large round coin shaped
building) on your starboard side.
4. Continue past Al Raha Beach and Al Bandar residential
communities (three large residential towers that looks like steps
into the water), respecting the water free zone.
5. You will the see the visitor berth of Yas Marina ahead of you.
Continue past this and turn left at the marina entrance. Please
ensure that the captain of the vessel navigates within the
channel buoy especially at Yas channel buoy number one.

The Sheikh Khalifa Highway Bridge links Abu Dhabi Island to
Saadiyat Island. The bridge has an official posted maximum air
draught (at its center span) of 27m MHW. The channel width at
the center span is approx. 170m, however, the navigable channel

All vessels visiting Yas Marina during the period from 29th October to 5th
November will be subject to inspection by the Critical National Infrastructure
Authority (CNIA). Foreign-flagged vessels will also be subject to customary
international yacht clearance procedures (Customs, Immigration etc.) The
‘Inspection Pier’ is located on the western side of the entrance to the Khawr al
Bighal Channel (also known as the Umm Al Nar Channel) outside the port of
Mina Zayed (approx. 24˚ 31.8’ N, 54˚ 23.6’ E) and is protected by a newly
constructed seawall (not referenced on navigational charts). A Coast Guard
vessel will be stationed near the pier to further direct visiting vessels.
Permission for access via the Sammaliyah Channel
must be obtained from the Harbor Master’s office
at +971 2 697 5375 or +971 2 673 0600 or
via VHF channel 67 (24 hrs.).
Vessels exceeding 90 m in length may be required to ‘stand off’ the berth and
either send a tender into shore to transport the government representatives to
the vessel, or be prepared to be boarded.
1. Before Arrival at Yas Marina
a) Two hours before arrival at the Inspection Pier, registered vessels shall contact
the Port of Mina Zayed on VHF Channel 67 and advise it of their Estimated
Time of Arrival.
b) CNIA will direct the vessel to a specific berth alongside the Inspection Pier.
c) Once secured at the berth, CNIA may conduct an inspection (including
underwater inspection if deemed appropriate at that time), and issue a
‘Clearance Sticker’ to the vessel, which needs to be clearly visible.
2. Departure From The Inspection Pier:
a) Registered vessels may depart the pier and sail directly to Yas Marina.
b) All vessels will be required to comply with Safe Boating Regulations (speed
within the Channel and maintaining safe distances between vessels) issued by
the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport and other governmental agencies.
c) Once the vessel leaves the Inspection Pier, it should contact operations
manager Ronan Jolle +971 509197613 at Yas Marina and advise him of
the vessel’s ETA.

ACCESS BY ROAD
Due to the popularity of the race, it is strongly recommended to
allow plenty of time to reach Yas Island. F1 pass holders can avail
of the free coaches to Yas Marina Circuit from various locations
around Abu Dhabi. More information can be found at www.
yasmarinacircuit.com
If you are travelling by car follow the directional signage. Event
traffic management will be in place in the area and your exit may
be on a different route to your entry. Your parking permits are
included in the guest pass pack which will be delivered to you
before the event.
Please remember that there will be high levels of traffic entering
Yas Island, which may affect the time that you reach Yas Marina.
Please allow time for the shuttle buses that will take you from your
dedicated car park to Yas Marina.
Vehicle access to Yas Marina will be heavily restricted and only
available for taxis, emergency services and Yas Marina VIP Car
Park pass holders. Yas Marina Guest Passes will allow entry to the
large exterior car park and paid valet parking is also available
(Yas Marina members will be provided with 1 complimentary valet
parking pass).
Any cars found parked within the marina car parking area without
the proper pass will be towed away.

Cross the Sheikh Bridge and get onto the Abu Dhabi - Dubai
highway (E11)
Take the Presidential Flight exit, go left at the main roundabout off
the highway
Turn right at the signal

Get into the left hand lane and do a U-turn at the first signal, and
then the first right following the signs to Yas marina
Don’t take the Yas Island west exit, continue along the highway for
20 minutes and take the Abu Dhabi airport exit
