Wow….another great CKRR Banquet!! It was so great see so many of you at the Banquet. I have to agree with Mark,
we really clean up pretty good!! For race mornings, I’m lucky to wash my face and brush my teeth before heading out
the door. So to see everyone dressed nicely and not sweaty was great.
Congratulations to all of the winners!! And wow, FOUR Inductees into the Hall of Fame….that was very cool!!
I want to thank everyone for their hard work in putting the Banquet together…we do have so many awesome volunteers in the Club!!
The weather this winter hasn’t been bad at all so I’m sure many of you have been out more times than I have, but it’s
so nice to get out and get some fresh air on a nice outdoor walk. I can’t wait to get riding on my recumbent trike also,
when it is warmer and the winds die down. It is so much fun to ride and I love riding on the trails through Kokomo. I
want to be able to ride from our house up to Peru and back this year, that would be at least a 30 mile round-trip.
I always pray that as a Club we look to glorify God and help encourage those in our community to be more active and
healthy. I pray that we cheer each other and always keep a respectful competitive spirit between each one another.
I hope to see you soon at all the upcoming races!.
Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory. Romans 15:7
Packet Pick Up Available - - for those of you who would like Robin Cole to pick up your Mini-marathon
packets for you, be sure to get your email confirmation to her by Wednesday, May 4th. The earlier you get the
back page to her, the easier it is for her. So please don’t wait until the last minute. Please include your phone
number on the page incase she needs to contact you. You can pick up your packet any time on Friday, May 6th
on the Tetrault’s front porch. The Tetrault’s live in the large brick home behind the maintenance garage in
Highland Park. Robin’s phone number is 765-437-2156.
Jackie Sanders Miracle Mile & Joe Kidd Rangel Races Resume in April—
The Jackie Sanders Miracle Mile & Joe Kidd Rangel races are currently on hiatus during the
winter months but will resume in April. If any member wants to be in char ge of the Wednesday
night runs for weeks or months, please contact Vern Keller or a club officer of your interest. We need
members to take weeks or a month so we can keep this event going. Vern and Sue Keller are doing it
for April. Club members who volunteer to run the Wednesday night runs will be required to follow the
rules that the club has established for all of our events. If you have any questions, please contact Patty
Weitzel at 765-453-0714.

This was the 40th Running of the Edison Festival of Lights 5K.
The race starts in the evening at 5:45 by the marina. Robin,
Kathy and Jeannie were waling around town prior to the race
and ran into Steve Kilcline.
The Edison usually has around 1200 participants with a 2 hour
parade and fireworks after the race. This was the 4th time participating in the event for Jeannie and the 6th time for Robin.
The crowd is always enthusiastic from start to finish. Also to
top off the evening there was a wonderful moon to finish off the
Festival of Lights!
