2006 has been a great year for Cobra. With the addition of our new board members
(you), we’ve been motivated to weed through the clutter of everyday business, and
get down to what’s really important in our industry—how to bag the big one.
Last year we introduced several new products to our line up—the King Cobra series, the Sidewinder
Plus and the Diamondback Drop Away arrow rest. Your support has been tremendous and we feel
fortunate to have such an incredible group of field testers (yep, you again).You’ve given us insightful
and extremely beneficial input on the pros and cons of our products, and we’re confident that
the improvements we’ve made for 07 will reflect how seriously we take your advice.
You told us that you wanted to be able to hunt in the most extreme conditions without the
fear of fiber breakage and we’re obliged to introduce for 2007 to the Sidewinder family of
sights the Sidewinder DuraPin™, a fully protected fiber optic steel pin for the hard core
bow hunter--or as some of you told us, for the 6-year old little buddy dragging Daddy’s bow
through the backyard with Max, the family dog, in the cross-hairs.
And for those of you who described with such passion what the perfect sight would
include, we’re proud to introduce the Boomslang sight, a completely new concept for
2007. This beauty will include four fully-protected fiber optic pins with more than 24”
of wrapped fiber per sight. And for the first time, Cobra will make its products available
in Realtree® All Purpose Repeat and Realtree® HD Green ™ and Black. This bad boy
offers an offset mounting bracket for increased range of adjustments; bubble level and
orange sight ring for quick target acquisition. This definitely isn’t your daddy’s sight.
The King Cobra series will now be available with smaller pins (.019) and with magnification of 2x
and 4x for increased visibility of your prize target. We’re also introducing the King Cobra Pendulum,
a tree-stand, movable sight that automatically compensates for elevated positions and distances out
to 35 yards. It also features the Quad-4 Linkage System to accommodate for fast lock-down and
precise yardage dialing.
There’s definitely a sight for you or your customers in this awesome line up of new and improved
products. You talked. We listened.
But that’s not all; we’re also introducing the Double Diamond Arrow Rest, our new and improved
version of the Diamondback. It offers a two-piece mounting bracket for greater elevation adjustment
and a newly designed metal launcher that’s narrower and shorter than the original to
accommodate bows with narrow rest shelves. With adjustable vane clearance, spring
tension and micro adjustable prong height, we feel great about this little beauty.
When it comes right down to it, we’ve got to know that when a hunter makes it into the
woods with a Cobra product, he or she will be faced with making only two decisions on
their way out: will my honey let me hang this in the living room and do I have enough
room in the freezer for this meat?
