You will learn how to optimize your limited practice time. This class will play a wide variety of songs, learn guitar techniques, note reading and basic musictheory as needed. This class takes a more intensive approach to “seeing” the fretboard. Students are taught moveable bar chords and scales, improve note reading, and lots of riffs with the goal of developing a foundation for performance and improvisation. The class will apply these skills as students rehearse blues, classical, rock, and folk music. This is a continuing class for guitarists who already play and can read music to some degree. You’ll learn more advanced techniques, practical theory, and improvisation, and apply these skills to a variety of jazz, blues, classical, and rock tunes.
