The Viking-Frisian Way, Monks’ Way and the North Sea coast cycle path are just three of the twelve optimally built and signposted cycle routes, which open up very special views of the land between the seas for cyclists, with plenty of tailwind. Canoeists will be in paradise on numerous lakes, and those who like to have the ground firmly beneath their walking boots will be right at home on the Baltic Sea walking route or in one of the Nordic walking parks. Golfers can choose from over 60 greens, and tee off with a view of the Wadden Sea or the Baltic Sea. © TASH/shutterstock (3) Find out more at www.schleswig-holstein.info © ATKIS®-Internetkarte © LvermA-SH. www.lverma.schleswig-holstein.de © TASH/Jens Koenig (2) active on the land Baltic coast cycle route Old salt street Border route Ochsenweg Hamburg-Rügen cycle tour North sea cycle route Eider-Treene-Sorge cycle tour Viking-frisian route Elbe cycle tour Kiel Canal Route Mönchsweg Holstein switzerland cycle tour Contact Tourismus-Agentur Schleswig-Holstein GmbH Wall 55 • 24103 Kiel • Germany Tel.: +49 (0) 4 31/600 58 33 Fax: +49 (0) 4 31/600 58 44 Email: [email protected] Internet: www.schleswig-holstein.info © Tourismus-Zentrale St. Peter-Ording active on the water For sea fans: active on the water Sailing, surfing, deep-water fishing, sand yachting or Nordic walking across the sea floor – Schleswig-Holstein is situated between two seas and offers holidaymakers countless activ-ities on the water. Over 100 harbours and marinas are closely packed along the 384-kilometre-long Baltic Sea coast: paradise for both experienced seafarers and for landlubbers who are setting sail for the first time here. The North Sea coast is heaven for surfers and kitesurfers, and sand yachters. Kite buggy riders take advantage of the strong North Sea breeze on the beach. When the tide goes out in the Wadden Sea, the sea floor is free for Nordic walking or lengthy strolls across the mudflats. © TASH/Jens Koenig © Tourismus-Service Westerland GmbH & Co.KG © TASH/shutterstock Find out more at www.schleswig-holstein.info/watersports active on the water Amrum © TASH/Jens Koenig Baltic Sea Fehmarn Friedrichstadt Weißenhäuser Strand St. PeterOrding Nor th Sea Plön Bad Malente Grömitz Eutin Büsum Timmendorfer Strand Itzehoe Bad Segeberg Bad Bramstedt © Kiel Marketing/Uwe Wanger Glückstadt Norderstedt Mölln Selection of water-sports areas Contact Tourismus-Agentur Schleswig-Holstein GmbH Wall 55 • 24103 Kiel • Germany Tel.: +49 (0) 4 31/600 58 33 Fax: +49 (0) 4 31/600 58 44 Email: [email protected] Internet: www.schleswig-holstein.info culinary Schleswig-Holstein is tasty!
