In the past year, the Hinsdale Junior Woman’s Club (HJWC)
has had the privilege of working alongside the passionate and
professional staff at Bridge Communities, meeting its program clients
and graduates, and sponsoring service projects and private
events directly benefiting its families and their children.
Most importantly, through all of this activity, we have gained a
deeper understanding of the organization’s mission, its impact,
and its vital importance in our communities.
Armed with this sense of purpose, our HJWC Benefit 2015
Committee members have worked tirelessly and with conviction,
sharing their talents and time to make tonight’s event a success.
With the tremendous support of our HJWC membership base
and Bridge Communities, we have also solicited hundreds of

The response has, on many occasions, left us speechless and filled
with gratitude for our community’s overwhelming generosity.

With the support of HJWC, Bridge Communities will continue to
thrive and support the growing needs of homeless families, mostly
women and children, in our local communities.
ENTERTAINMENT SCHEDULE
Bridge Communities is a grassroots, non-profit organization
committed to transforming the lives of homeless families across
Dupage County. Through partnerships with nearly 50 faith-based
community organizations and an expansive volunteer network,
Bridge provides free transitional housing for up to two years,
and critical mentoring and counseling services to over 110 homeless
families annually. During their time in the program, families are
able to save money, learn budgeting skills, and obtain better
employment — all fostering a path to long-term self-sufficiency.

Since its founding in 1988, over 600 families have benefited from
Bridge’s comprehensive program. The program’s results have proven
strong, boasting a 93% success rate of self-sufficiency among
graduating families after five years.
Unfortunately, homelessness in Dupage County is on the rise.

provide Bridge Communities the resources to continue growing
this invaluable community mission.
