Wednesday's Words April Calendar April Lunch Menu ATTENTION PARENTS... HELP YOUR CHILD'S EDUCATION! Yesterday, each child in PreK Four through Eighth Grade received an Individual Pupil Request for Loan of Textbooks Form. Please SIGN and DATE the form and have your child/children return it IMMEDIATELY to their homeroom teacher. It is very important for you to complete and return these forms as it allows Saint James School to purchase textbooks through our state grant. This allocation is based on our CURRENT enrollment; therefore each and every child MUST return their form even if they are not returning for the next school year. SUMMER UNIFORM Starting Wednesday, April 22nd, students will be allowed to wear their summer uniform. Parents please check the weather daily to ensure that your child is wearing the appropriate clothing. Thank you for your support and cooperation. Night Under the Stars 25th Anniversary Committee Dear SJS Parents, Over the weekend the Night Under the Stars committee sent out a survey looking for your feedback on this very important fund raising event. If you have not done so as of yet please take the time to answer the survey. The committee is anxious to hear feedback from our school families as the survey will end on Friday, April 25th. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation! 1A Celebrates National Poetry Month In celebration of National Poetry Month, Mrs. Leslieann Cialdella, who teaches creative writing at Rutgers, once again visited 1A to talk about noises and the sounds poems make. After listening to a few noises (jingling of keys, a bang on a desk), we tried to figure out what these noises sounded like. "Christmas bells on Santa's sleigh!" "A mad knock a the door!" Then we wrote poems in our writing journals about the sounds in our kitchens at home: "The dishwasher swishes" "I drop the fork tingaling." The students enjoyed making noise poems.
