A comprehensive three days program
The Women’s, Family and Planetary Health and Vitality Program offer a dynamic approach to health and beauty
from a traditional macrobiotic and contemporary holistic perspective. Modern science and medicine are increasingly
documenting the importance of a balanced diet centered on whole foods and living in harmony with nature as the
keys to health and happiness and longevity. This program is designed to make men, women and children aware of
the tremendous benefits that a macrobiotic way of life can offer to preventing and relieving diseases and awakening
to their own healing ability. You will gain a wealth of practical information and insight that you can immediately
begin to apply at home. With arrival on this study weekend, we will give you a list of subjects on which you can
mark your interests.
Do-in early morning exercises
In the morning you are kindly invited to join the Do-in exercise class. Do-in is a combination of meridian stretching
exercises, breathing exercises, Ki-energy exercises and self massage. It is a centuries old practice of exercise and
self-massage that promotes rejuvenation and longevity and it is a great way to start the day.
About the meals
As a student, you will receive nutritious and delicious macrobiotic meals. We are using only top quality, organic
grains, beans, vegetables, fruit, seaweed and other products, that are supplied freshly every day directly by Deshima
and by Zdravý obchůdek U Slavíka – both high quality macrobiotic food stores. In our meals you will find a balanced
food combination that are promoting health and are tasty, delicious, beautiful and never boring.

Teplice is well known, very beautiful health spa city, full of possibilities with comfortable accommodation.

About the teacher
Adelbert Nelissen (Netherlands), studies since 1968 the eastern way of healing as part of the macrobiotic
approach of life. He has been student of Michio Kushi, Shizuko Yamamoto and Dr. Wu Wei Ping, one of the world
leading acupuncture experts. In 1970, Adelbert established Manna, one of European’s leading Natural Food
Companies.
He developed a program in which he taught over 2000 young people from all around the world about the natural
way of life. As a pioneer he developed hundreds of products including, 20 different kinds of sourdough bread, tofu,
tempeh, seitan, sugar free marmalade, and snacks and introduced over 250 traditional Japanese products, which are
now used under many brand names all over the Europe. Now, Adelbert is together with his wife Wieke Nelissen,
founder and director of the Kushi Institute of Europe. Since 30 years he lectures extensively throughout Europe as
well as America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Adelbert is well known for his down to earth, original and
renewing ways of teaching. Adelbert and Wieke are parents of 5 macrobiotic children and they have 6
grandchildren.
