Crane’s Lettra paper is our favourite paper
stock here at Papillon Press because it was
designed specifically for letterpress printing.
Lettra is made of 100% cotton, soft and
luxurious to the touch, yet strong and
stable on press. Lettra is made without surface sizing to maximize its suppleness and
its receptiveness to a deep impression.

Bamboo joins papers made from cotton,
hemp, kozo, mulberry, among others in our
effort to offer customers a wide selection of
tree-free alternatives. Bamboo is a highly renewable resource and is the fastest growing
plant on Earth. In some cases Bamboo can
grow three to four feet per day — without the
need for fertilizers, pesticides or much water.
Legion Bamboo has a luxurious finish and is
available in a 265gsm cover along with a full
line of matching envelopes.

Rising Museum Boards consist of
14 colors and manufactured with
100% cotton. The boards are acidfree, Neutral pH and buffered with
calcium carbonate.
Although Rising boards are technically matboards, they print very
well in letterpress.
