LaR osa’s M V P of the Week Amber Gray Lakota West High School This senior, one of the best in the nation at her position, is already Lakota West's all-time leading scorer. She was named GMC Player of the Year as a sophomore and junior. Last year Amber averaged 20.5 points-8 rebounds a game, and was Cincinnati Player of the Year and 1st team all-state, and, though only a junior, was a finalist for LaRosa's MVP of the Year Award. She has already been named as one of Cincinnati's Top 50 female basketball players ever. Amber was also an all-city volleyball player (didn't play senior season) whose AAU team won the 2006 national championship. She will play basketball at the U. of Tennessee, and is the daughter of 1999 LaRosa's Hall of Fame inductee Carlton Gray. A good student active in community service, Amber has been known to patrol the sidelines of school football games as the Firebirds' mascot. Her favorite athlete is Dwayne Wade and most-like-to-meet is Oprah.
