THE P AGE 4 C HAMBER M ATTERS THE ARTS ARE BLOOMING IN SALEM COUNTY Now in its fourth year, Arts in Bloom 2012, Salem County’s springtime celebration of the arts, promises to be bigger and better than ever. Over 70 artists are participating at 31 locations on Saturday and Sunday, May19 & 20, 10 am – 5 pm with new and exciting work to enjoy and purchase. Work in all media is available and many locations are offering demonstrations including a hot metal pour, wood kiln firing, wood inlay techniques and plein air painting. Families can be creative together at a number of sites featuring sculpting, drawing, puppetry, graphic design, stained glass and leather projects and even knitting with giant needles! New this year are prize drawings at many of the studios. By simply sharing your feedback you will be automatically entered into a drawing at that location on Sunday evening. Prizes include works of art, coupons and even use of the site for a private party! In addition, a number of the County’s restaurants and eateries are offering tour goers discounts and premiums, nourishing both body and soul. Best of all, there is no admission charge. Arts in Bloom is a project of the Salem County Cultural & Heritage Commission’s Arts Roundtable and the Salem County Board of Chosen Freeholders. Brochures are available at locations around the County as well as on-line at www.VisitSalemCountyNJ.com. Plan to enjoy discovering the arts in Salem County’s quaint towns and beautiful countryside.
