Why did I receive a bill? If your mortgage company pays your taxes and has requested your tax bill, you will still receive an informational tax notice for your records. ST PETE BEACH Unpaid taxes become delinquent on April 1st each year. At that time, a 3% interest charge is added to the March (gross) amount for real estate taxes. Delinquent tangible personal property taxes will have 1.5% interest and other charges added. Once unpaid taxes become delinquent, the amount due is determined when the Tax Collector receives payment, not when the payment is postmarked. The installment plan is not an option for 2014 taxes, as the deadline has passed. To enroll in the installment plan for 2015, download an application at taxcollect.com, or call and we will mail one to you. You must file the application by April 30, 2015.
