Here`s - Mountain Goat Trail

The Mountain Goat Trail is a rail to trail community
outdoor recreation project to convert an abandoned
railroad right-of-way into a multi-use recreational
corridor between Grundy and Franklin Counties on the
Cumberland Plateau in Middle Tennessee.

the towns along the Trail.

days along the Phase II section between

What an encouraging year it has
been for the Mountain Goat
Trail!!
Consider these facts:!
We launched a successful
collaboration with the Land
Trust for Tennessee!
We were awarded a
$250,000 grant to build two
one-mile sections of trail in
Grundy County!

We raised over $83,000,
allowing us to purchase
about 60% of the railbed
between Monteagle and
Tracy City!
We strengthened our ties
with municipalities by
collaborating on grant
applications with the towns
of Monteagle and Tracy
City!
As always, we know that these
milestones were possible
because of the support we
receive from all over the Plateau
and beyond.!
