RAISED ACCESS
FLOORING
The raised access flooring (RAF) is a
system that was born from the need to
hide the large number of installations
such as telephone and electricity
wiring, piping, air conditioning,
etc... that are located in work areas,
technical rooms, etc...
These installations are hidden under
the system, as a “technical plenum”
has been created with immediate and
easy accessibility. It also lets us carry
all the installations neatly.
RAISED ACCESS
FLOORING FOR
EXTERIORS
The raised access floor (RAF) system
for terraces has been specially created
to provide an aesthetic solution for
terraces containing unsightly drainage
slopes. By building a completely flat
floor over the existing terrace floor,
these slopes are conveniently hidden
underneath.
Height deviations are offset with
height-adjustable plots and any
accumulated water is drained through
open joints on the newly paved
surface and then channelled down
the terrace’s waterproofed slopes to
the drain.

joints are important aspects to be
taken into account in the design of
tiled surfaces. Just as you select the
tile model of your choice, you should
also choose the grout that best fits
in with it.
The quality of the grouting material is
also crucial so as to prevent changes
in colour, loose grouting or even water
penetrating the joints. PORCELANOSA

WATERPROOFING
SYSTEMS
When water is present, there is always
risk of leaks. This contingency must
be taken into account in the design
and creation of all bathrooms. Damp,
drips and water leaks can be avoided
by laying a waterproofing membrane
under tile coverings as a moisture
barrier.
Waterproofing membranes,
waterproof mortar, drains and
decorative drain grills are essential
in the creation of swimming pools,

A growing number of bathrooms
feature showers with a tiled or
mosaic tray instead of a conventional
fibreglass one. Butech offers a wide
range of waterproofed prefabricated
panels ready for tiling over with
