BARBERHEAD SIGNBOARD PROJECT
Craftsmen in third world countries are suffering increasingly from cheaply mass
produced consumer goods from China and other Asian countries. Their arts - and
craft work, mostly handmade, is under pressure whereas exactly this could be a great
potential for development of many entrepreneurs. Hand made products are often of
higher quality and somehow unique. Therefore the consumer is sometimes more
willing and prepared to pay a higher price. The Barberhead Signboard Project is a
project where we want to create the possibility to order a traditional Barberhead
VLJQERDUGKDLUGUHVVHU¶VVLJQERDUGGLUHFWO\IURPDVWUHHW-painter in Kumasi/Ghana
using a wide range of hairstyles and your own face. Other hand painted signboards,
posters, paintings, etc are also possible of course.
The Barberhead Signboard Project is a pilot project. In the end we want to create webshops for artisans and craftsmen in development countries, where you can order
direct using the new possibilities of internet and mobile telephony. Our support
consists of facilitating the transport and giving a delivery ± and payment guarantee.

When you choose a canvas surface the delivery time is 4-8 weeks. Upon arrival the
canvas painting will be framed on wood.
