COTS EQUIPMENT SYSTEM FLEXIBILITY TTC Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) products offer all of the sophistication and performance that our custom-made products do, but are available immediately and are plug-and-play for many applications. COTS products allow test programs to be designed and implemented in a fraction of the time it takes to custom-produce a test bed and COTS equipment has a comparatively low cost of ownership. TTC designs equipment for dynamic environments where data recording requirements and configurations change frequently. Variable data acquisition environments can be accommodated onsite by: TIMELY DELIVERY TTC COTS products are standard catalog items that are often in stock and available immediately. Using COTS, test programs can be up and running quickly and delivery can often be scheduled for the next day, minimizing test program down time and maximizing program effectiveness. COMPREHENSIVE PRODUCT LINES TTC offers a range of products including data acquisition systems (based and networked), signal conditioners, data encoders, high-speed data multiplexers, solid-state and hard-drive data recorders, instrumentation power systems, fiber opticbased avionics bus monitors, telemetry products, ground support products, avionics display and control units and commercial communications equipment. Many of these solutions are available in miniaturized versions for space-limited applications, and highly ruggedized and sealed packaging options are also available. NEWTOWN FACILITY FRONT LOBBY ➤ TTC is committed to 100% customer satisfaction. To this end, qualified support staff are available to assist with application design, system installation, ongoing system operation, maintenance and training. ➤ MODULAR REPLACEMENTS Change measurement methods or measurement quantities by replacing a plug-in assembly ➤ SOFTWARE The TTCWare, TTCNMS and GSS applications allow hardware configurations and performance to be adjusted without physically accessing or modifying the equipment, provide realtime dynamic SNMP-based monitoring and measurement and allow simultaneous data recording and mining. ➤ DYNAMIC CONFIGURATION Some TTC products adjust measurement parameters automatically based on variations in the incoming data. CONNECTIVITY TTC solutions work together and with thirdparty products using open, industry-standard interfaces. Equipment can be connected and networked for greater capacity and for system expansion. TTC employs communication standards including PCM, CAIS (Common Airborne Instrumentation System), Ethernet (electrical and optical), MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-419, 429, 453, 561, 568, 573, 575, 582, 615, 629, 664, 708 and 717, various Honeywell avionic buses, IEEE1394, Fibre Channel (electrical and optical) and USB 2.0. About TTC ➤ 2 ENGINEERING SERVICES QUALITY ASSURANCE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT RELIABILITY ENGINEERING TTC wholly accommodates COTS and modified, fully-customized products by maintaining required resources in-house in their entirety. In-house design, development, testing and manufacturing not only guarantees top quality products, it allows the fastest possible delivery to customers. An internal design group provides schematic capture and printed wiring board and metalwork fabrication drawing development. TTC has advanced software to support solid and thermal modeling and dynamic system analysis. We maintain an on-site machine shop for quick-turn metalwork fabrication, and have in-house Surface Mount Technology (SMT) pick-andplace and reflow equipment for rapid assembly of prototype lots. The Quality Assurance department at TTC uses reliability modeling and prediction to generate Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) data, to conduct Failure Modes and Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and for parts application and stress analysis. PROCESS CONTROL QUALITY ASSURANCE IN-HOUSE SERVICES AT TTC ➤ EMI/EMC TESTING FACILITY, MACHINE SHOP FULLY EQUIPPED WITH CNC MACHINES, DRAFTING DEPARTMENT, ENVIRONMENTAL TESTING LAB, PRODUCT ASSEMBLY AND PICK-AND-PLACE MACHINES EMI/EMC TESTING FACILITY TTC adheres to AS9100B and ISO 9001:2000 guidelines for design, development, qualification, first-article inspection, process validation and control and documentation. Facility-wide ESD control is compliant with ANSI/ESD S20.20-2007. Every assembly is traced through manufacturing using process travelers. Operator proficiency is maintained by regular training and certification programs. MACHINE SHOP EXTENDED ASSURANCE PRODUCT VALIDATION AND QUALIFICATION TTC performance-tests and validates every piece of equipment before it ships. In-house environmental screening and qualification includes temperature, vibration, shock, altitude and humidity and recently, EMI/EMC testing. If a required test is not available onsite at TTC, fully-qualified third-party vendors complete it with minimal turnaround time. Some data acquisition applications require expanded product assurance testing, and TTC is equipped for it! Optional available tests include extended product burn-in and environmental stress screening for temperature and vibration. TTC products are manufactured and inspected to ANSI/IPCA-610D level 3 workmanship requirements, and all assemblies are subjected to visual inspection and performance testing. In-house processing for SMT, JTAG Boundary Scan technology, through-hole soldering and numerous Automated Test Equipment (ATE) capabilities ensure that TTC ships only flaw-free equipment. ENVIRONMENTAL TEST LAB DEVELOPMENT TEST LAB About TTC ➤ 4 EXPERIENCE: TTC’S PROVEN SUCCESS M-346 JET TRAINER The Alenia Aermacchi M-346 military trainer aircraft is used to develop piloting, navigational and other crew skills.
