This table with information on manufacturers of home fortification products is intended to
provide the most complete, up-to-date information available to HF-TAG. Please keep in
mind that changes in the information listed is not always immediately communicated and
could become inaccurate or outdated. HF-TAG does not endorse any of the manufacturers listed. The order in which the companies are listed is not an indication of the company’s products’ quality or reliability. We welcome all feedback to keep the list as current as
possible. We also welcome information on additional existing manufacturers not listed;
upon revision and approval they too could be included in this list.
Should you decide to procure home fortification products from a manufacturer directly,
instead of from UNICEF Supply Division (http://www.unicef.org/supply/ ) or GAIN Premix
Facility (http://gpf.gainhealth.org ) you might wish to consider the following points:
1) Purchase products only from recognized manufacturers (You might want to verify whether UNICEF, WFP or UNHCR purchased home fortification products from them before)
2) Ask the manufacturer to share with you a copy of their manufacturing license and documentation on the product of interest (product specifications, samples etc.)
3) Establish a written contract with your supplier and sign it. This contract should contain
product specification, requirements for documentation to be supplied together with the
goods and agreement on how the non-conformities will be handled.
4) Verify Certificate of Analysis to be supplied by the manufacturer for each batch of
finished product supplied.
5) Agree that payment shall be done only after goods are physically handed over to you
and inspected.
