Day 1: Gateway City - Anchorage, Alaska
When your flight arrives at the Anchorage International
Airport from your gateway city, you are greeted in the
baggage claim area by your TBI Alaska Tour Representative
as they assist you with your luggage. Meet your local guide
and transfer to your Anchorage hotel for a relaxing one-night
stay. Join your fellow travelers for a “Welcome Dinner” this
evening at a local restaurant. Clarion Suites or similar (D)
Day 2: Anchorage - Kenai Peninsula Seward Highway - Homer
After breakfast at your hotel, board your deluxe motorcoach
and travel to the coastal community of Homer. The beauty
of the Kenai Peninsula is spectacular. Enjoy a stop at the
Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, where you see Alaska’s
critters up close in the scenic Portage Valley area. Lunch is
included today in one of Alaska’s quaint local communities.
Continue south to Homer along the scenic Seward Highway
and onto the Sterling Highway. Homer is known as the
“Halibut Capital of the World” and only few can enjoy the
area known for the Homer Spit. Imagine if you will: a little
town nestled on the shore of a glistening bay; glaciers and
mountains rimming the shoreline and active volcanoes
looming in the distance. It’s an eclectic town, with folks who
are friendly and helpful, artsy and outdoorsy, hardy and selfreliant, fun-loving and free spirited. This is Homer, Alaska,
on Kachemak Bay. Made famous as “The End of the Road”
in Tom Bodett’s tales, Homer is at the end of the Sterling
Highway surrounded by wilderness and ocean. Tonight,
enjoy a late dinner at a local restaurant. Spend the night in
Homer. The Ocean Shores or similar (B, L, D)
Day 3: Homer At Leisure
Today, you get to explore on your own. You may wish to
enjoy exciting activities such as a flight to see the mighty
brown bear, sea kayaking in Kachemak Bay, world-class
halibut fishing, visiting the Alaska Islands and Ocean
Visitor Center, hiking the Beluga Slough Trail to Bishops
Beach, exploring the Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies or
sightseeing in the community. Whatever you decide, Homer
is truly a magical place to visit in Alaska. Tonight, choose
from many unique local dinner options.

Day 4: Homer - Seward
Anchorage
ARRIVE/DEPART
After breakfast, re-board your deluxe
motorcoach and head to the coastal community
of Seward. Travel north to the Soldotna Visitor
Information Center and see the world record king salmon
on display. Walk down the boardwalk while searching for
salmon in the Kenai River and learn about the different types
of this fascinating fish. Continue north and perhaps catch a
glimpse of caribou or birds that migrate through this region.
En route, visit the Kenai Visitors & Cultural Center and see
the incredible display of Alaskan artifacts. The rest of your
day is open to explore the community of Seward at your
leisure. Spend the night in Seward.

Day 6: Seward - Whittier - Prince William Sound - Valdez
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. This morning, board your
deluxe motorcoach for the journey to Whittier. Travel along
the scenic Seward Highway and check in at the Alaska
Marine Highway Service ferry terminal for your cruise
adventure through the amazing Prince William Sound to
Valdez. Sit back and view the magnificent glaciers that are
abundant here. This evening, arrive at the port city of Valdez.
Nestled between the waterfront and mountains, it has been
nicknamed “Alaska’s Little Switzerland.” Tonight, enjoy a late
dinner at a local restaurant. Enjoy a lovely two-night stay in

Columbia Glacier
After breakfast at your hotel this morning, explore this
wonderful port community on your own. Entrance to the
Valdez Museum is included. This afternoon, cruise the
pristine waters of Prince William Sound and see stunning
glaciers, including a close-up view of Columbia Glacier, and
amazing wildlife. Enjoy a light lunch aboard the cruise. Arrive
back at Valdez later this evening.

Denali National Park
After an early breakfast at your hotel, depart by motorcoach
and travel through some of Alaska’s most spectacular
country. View breathtaking vistas and snow-capped
mountain ranges in a region that is virtually untapped
remote wilderness. Journey from sea level and climb above
the clouds on this incredible adventure. Take in the lake’s
surrounding mountains as you enjoy a picnic lunch along
the secluded, unpaved Denali Highway. The less-traveled
Richardson and Denali Highways both offer wildlife viewing
opportunities that surpass your imagination. Continue along
the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, the largest park in the
U.S., before arriving at Denali National Park. Enjoy dinner in
the park and a relaxing two-night stay here in Denali.

Following breakfast, take the day to explore at your leisure.
There are many optional activities to choose from like trophy
sport fishing, cruising into the Kenai Fjords National Park or
visiting IdidaRide Sled Dog Kennel, Alaska Sealife Center or
Seward Museum. Take a walk to Exit Glacier or stroll around
Seward Harbor. The choices are endless and the choices
are yours! Stay one more night in Seward.

Day 9: Hands-On Denali National Park Tour
Following breakfast at your hotel this morning, venture into
Denali National Park on a unique, exclusive experience.
On this Murie Excursion, enjoy a bus ride into the park to
the Teklanika River Overlook. Enjoy a guided hike as you
learn about the park’s history and get an up-close view of
beautiful flora and fauna. Keep an eye out for wildlife such
as moose, bear, caribou and much more. During the tour,
scopes and telemetry are used for tracking wildlife. A boxed
lunch is included. The rest of your day is open for optional
activities; a variety of ranger-led walks and hikes are
offered throughout the park.

Day 10: Denali - Talkeetna
After breakfast at your hotel, depart Denali and head south
to the community of Talkeetna, which began as a trading
post when gold was first discovered in the Susitna River.
Wander through this historic village, nestled at the base of
North America’s tallest peak, Mount McKinley (Denali), on
a brief walking tour. There is time to explore on your own
today in Talkeetna, which has an outstanding panoramic
view of the Alaska Range. Discover all this unique location
has to offer including fishing, art galleries, gift shops,
places to dine and locally brewed beer! You may want to
participate in an optional tour such as flightseeing, hiking,
or a jet boat adventure. Tonight, stay at the beautiful
Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge with great views of Mount
McKinley from the deck and restaurant -- sure to be a

Day 11: Talkeetna - Anchorage - Girdwood
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Board your deluxe
motorcoach and journey back to Anchorage. Travel along
the scenic Parks Highway and enjoy a brief city tour of
Anchorage to include the historic downtown district and
free time for lunch on your own. Travel by motorcoach
along the Seward Highway to the community of Girdwood,
home to the resort hotel,
Hotel Alyeska. The rest of your day is free to explore
this wonderful Alaskan gem. See breathtaking views on
a gondola ride, then head back to the resort for a well-
deserved and well-earned way to end this amazing Alaskan
adventure -- one that is sure to top your list!

Day 12: Girdwood - Anchorage - Gateway City
Following breakfast at your hotel, motorcoach from
Girdwood back to Anchorage. In Anchorage, bid farewell as
you depart the incredible land of Alaska aboard your return
