the TC GfA of UEG Alberto Claudino Nunes for the 10th EUROGYM 2016 in
České Budějovice
Dear gymnastics friends,
Welcome to the 10th EUROGYM!
Welcome to the biggest event of the European
Gymnastics Union (UEG)!
Dear Friends of Gymnastics,
Dear young gymnasts,
It is a great pleasure to welcome you to Ceske
Budejovice for the 10th EUROGYM 2016.
EUROGYM has become one of the flagship events
of the UEG and the interest in this European Youth
Festival does not cease to increase. This development
has requested a lot of work of our Technical
Committee and its members try to offer interesting
workshops and activities to the young gymnasts,
based on the values of the culture of movement and
common international aspects of gymnastics.
The original aim of EUROGYM was to allow common
experiences in practising physical and cultural
activities, to make it possible to make new friends
from many different nationalities and to make new
experiences in a group of young people sharing the
same interests.
You are about to experience a fabulous week that you
will never forget.
The Local Organizing Committee and the UEG
Technical Committee of Gymnastics for All (TC GfA)
have worked hard to provide you a great Gymnastics
Festival.
The Czech Gymnastics Federation, the city of Ceske
Budejovice and other Czech sport organizations, did all
the efforts to guarantee the success of the EUROGYM!
Seize the opportunity to share, to learn, to become
even better gymnasts!
As this is already the 10th edition of EUROGYM, we
know that we have succeeded!

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
2016
SAFETY
A first aid service will be available during workshops, performances, in Budvar Arena and at
schools.
In the Exhibition center Red Cross personnel will be available 24 hours.
Participants will also have an easy access to the local health system during EUROGYM.
The České Budějovice City Hospital is located in the middle of the event area and emergency
transport service will be available.
In case of very urgent emergency when the Red Cross employees are not available
immediately, it is also possible to use the phone number 112.
The tap water in České Budějovice is of excellent quality and absolutely safe for drinking.
INFORMATION DESK
The information desk will be placed at the same place as the accreditation in the basement of
Pavilion Z at the Exhibition Center.

VOLUNTEERS
Around 300 volunteers are looking forward to making the 10th EUROGYM 2016 special for all of you by
supporting in different areas. They are easily identified by their ORANGE clothing.
MEMORIES OF THE 10TH EUROGYM 2016 - MERCHANDISE
It will be possible to buy different merchandise in our merchandise shop in the Exhibition Center
Pavilon Z. It will be open every day during the whole event, opening hours 9:00–19:00. We will accept
CZK or EUR in cash only. Please be aware that some of our merchandise is limited edition and might be
sold out during the event.

TRAVEL/TRANSPORTATION
Local buses
Local bus transportation is included in the participation card.
”EUROGYM” bus routes
We are providing bus transport from 19th to 24th July. Buses for breakfast are leaving at
6:45 from Internát SPŠ automobilní, Trocnovská 110/2 (no. 3 on map of Accommodation)
to University Canteen. There is also bus from Budvar arena to Internát SPŠ automobilní,
Trocnovská 110/2 (no. 3 on map of Accommodation) and to DM SŠ veterinární, Rudolfovská
tř. 92 (no. 5 on map of map of Accommodation). Bus is leaving after the Opening Ceremony, 19th
July at 21:00, after GALA, 22th July at 21:30 and after the Closing Ceremony, 23th July at 21:00.
Transportation to other accommodating areas is provided by public transport, which is free
to participants (participation card needed).
Departures
On departure, groups that made transfer reservation with the LOC will be picked up at the
accommodation school, according to the given flight plan and the type of transportation
(shared or exclusive).
INSURANCE
Please bring declaration of fact, that your participants are insured, to accreditation.
Liability Disclaimer for EUROGYM 2016
The Organizer does not provide liability insurance for protection of individuals, groups,
organizations, businesses, spectators, or others who may participate in EUROGYM 2016.
In consideration for your participation in said EUROGYM 2016, the individual, group,
organization, business, spectator, or other, does hereby release and forever discharge the
Organizer, and its officers, board and employees, jointly and severally from any and all
actions, causes of actions, claims and demands for, upon or by reason of any damages, loss
or injury, which hereafter may be sustained by participation in the EUROGYM 2016.
This release extends and applies to, and also covers and includes, all unknown, unforeseen,
unanticipated and unsuspected injuries, damages, loss and liability and the consequences
thereof, as well as those now disclosed and known to exist. The provision of any state,
federal, local or territorial law or state providing substance that release shall not extend
to claims, demands, injuries, or damages which are known or unsuspected to exist, to the
person executing such release, are hereby expressly waived.
It is further understood and agreed that said participation in the EUROGYM 2016 is not to be
construed as an admission of any liability and acceptance of assumption of responsibility by
the Organizer, its officers, board, and employees, jointly and severally, for all damages and
expenses for which the Organizer, its offices, board and employees, become liable as a result
of an alleged act of the participant.

Safety rules
Remember that there will only be one entrance open to
each school and you need your accreditation card to get in
at all times.
It is important to keep clean passages between the sleeping
areas on the floor up to the door, it is a safety precaution in
case of fire.
Smoking and consuming alcohol are not allowed at the
schools.
Please be considerate and quiet after 22:00.
It is not allowed to open doors that is sealed off or marked
as not for participants.
General rules
Please throw only toilet paper in the toilets - everything
else should go in the special trash cans.
Be careful with your valuables. There are spaces in schools
(excluding accommodation no. 14 to 18, which has locked
rooms), where you can lock your valuables.

BREAKFAST TIMES
Breakfast will be served between 06:45–08:30 in South Bohemia University canteen, in the
schools and hostels.
For breakfast we serve milk, youghurt, müsli, bread, butter, cheese, ham, coffee/tea, fruit and
vegetable.
Below are the specific times for breakfast for each group.
Note that the persons walking/having a bus transfer from another school to breakfast has the
later breakfast times. Please respect the time given to you.

Meals
EUROGYM
2016
Lunch and dinner will be served between 12:00–14:00 and 17:00–19:30 both at the University
canteen and at the Exhibition Center Pavilion T1 next to Pavilion Z (there will be arrows how to
get there). The timetable who will have meal where will follow these instructions.
At both places, the meal is identical.
When entering the dining hall, the participation card will be scanned. Then you will be sent to
the appropriate row for getting meal.
At both places, there will be also salad bars for both lunches and dinners so you can take
vegetable as you want.
For those ones who are used to have the bakery with the meal, there will be possibility to take
the bread or other kinds of bakery.
Do not forget to take your bottle which you get at the accreditation with you. At both places
there will be the possibility to fill the bottle with water.
Water in the Czech Republic is drinkable everywhere (also at the bathrooms at your
accommodation does not matter if it is school, hostel or university campus).
Both at the canteen and at the exhibition center there will be possibility to buy other drinks
like coke, fanta , then ice cream etc and also some snacks. Everything should be paid in Czech
Crowns in cash.

All special dietary lunches and dinners will be served in both places - Pavilion T1 at the Exhibition center and in canteen of South Bohemia University (Studentská 800/15,
370 05 České Budějovice)
There will be one special row only for people who will have mentioned the diet
on their card
The volunteer at the door will show you the right row
There are three special diets: vegetarian, gluten free, diabetics.
If your participant has another diet, please, let us know during accreditation to be sure that they get the right meal even if you already wrote that to us. The meal for such diet will be served also in at both cafeterias.
We tried to prepare the menu to be light and recognizable for all coming participants.

Lunches and dinners will be prepared and served according to the menu. Both meals will
be accompanied with a salad, bakery products and a drink. The main area for catering will
be the university canteen and pavilion T1. The menu is not definitive yet and further changes
are possible. You can ask for the vegetarian version of the menu, it is also possible to ask for
gluten-free diet or a diet for participants with diabetes, etc.

PARADE AND OPENING CEREMONY
The 10th Eurogym in České Budějovice starts on 19 July 2016 with the show in the Budvar
Arena – the traditional Opening Ceremony after the “march” through the city. The theme of
the Opening Ceremony is UP & DOWN. It will be composed from different performances of
the Czech teams from different sports and dancing areas, speeches and finally ends by disco
for all participants.
THE PARADE
The Parade will start at the Premysl Otakar square where all participants will be gathered
according to countries. The route will go to the Budvar Arena through the Old City. At the
front of each country there will be one volunteer who will hold the name of the country and
second one who will carry the flag of the country. The countries will go in the French order.
The parade will finish in Budvar Arena where all participants will go to sit to their places
marked before by the name of their country.
It is necessary that all participants of the parade will be at the square no later than at 16:30
where the volunteers will put them in the right order..

CLOSING CEREMONY
The Closing Ceremony will be held 23. 7. from 18:00 at Budvar Arena. The theme is GET
UP & MOVE. It will be composed by several presentations of chosen workshops, some
presentations of the Czech groups, speeches, Belgium presentation - the place of next
Eurogym 2018 and finally the party for participants.
The Budvar Arena will be opened 45 minutes before the performance, so those who are not
participating, please, be on time and do not forget your participation card.
FORUM
There is a great interest for the three forums that we offer: Non-traditional physical activities
and games - juggling, Motoric-functional training of the youth – from principles to practice
and Laughter Yoga.
Motoric-functional training of the youth - juggling will be held on Wednesday 20.7.2016 on the
first floor of Pavilion Z from 10:45 to 12:15.
Non-traditional physical activities and games – from principles to practice will be held on the
first floor of pavilion Z on Thursday 21. 7. from 10:45 to 12:15.
Laughter Yoga will be held also on the first floor of the pavilion Z on 22.7. on Friday from
10:45 to 12:15.
All forums will include both practice and theory so remember to bring sportswear, proper
shoes, pen and paper.

Workshops
EUROGYM
2016
The workshops will run from Wednesday 20 July till Saturday 23 July. They will take place from
9:00 till 10:15 and from 10:45 till 12:00.
When you participate in a workshop, you should have sportswear and proper shoes. For
water activities, swimsuit and towel are required. It is the responsibility of the leader to
ensure that all participants can swim.
Most of the workshops will be held within walking distance.
A few workshops require transportation and all transfers start from Exhibition Center. All
buses will depart at and arrive from roundabout at Exhibition Center. Please look at your
individual schedule to find out all details.

There are knowledgeable instructors at each workshop, but we wish that all team leaders are
involved and determine that the level is right for your gymnasts.
A selection of the workshops will be included in the Closing Ceremony. The gymnasts need to
register at the instructor of the appropriate workshop if they would like to participate in the
Closing Ceremony. The gymnasts are only allowed to take part in one workshop during the
Closing Ceremony.

EUROGYM
2016
Stage performances
The performances on the stages will start at 14:00 and end around 18:00. Each group has 6
minutes to spare at the stage, setting up and removal of the equipment included. We reserve
the right to turn the music off after 6 minutes. Every groups have to be on place 30 minutes
before beginning their block of performance. The group that does not come at the appointed
time, it can not be given compensatory time and space and loses the opportunity to perform.
The group leader is responsible for that the groups music is handed over to the person that is
responsible for each stage. The USB must be marked with name and country of the group in
English (USB will be used in case, that the recording will not work). All four stages have roller
mats and these mats doesn’t move. Each group will perform twice during Eurogym 2016.
All of the stages have restrooms and dressing rooms nearby. Do not leave property in tent
without supervision, Any other place is avaible. The equipment will be availible only for group,
which reported it to the registration system. There will be available medic in a tent of music
director during the event.

Gymzone
Date: 20-22 of July

Place: Next to South Bohemian University campus
The Gymzone will be located in the immediate vicinity of the dormitory and school canteen
which we find as a well-chosen location because of several reasons. Firstly, we are expecting
that many of the participants will be gathering there during the 2016 EUROGYM. Secondly,
the Gymzone is situated in a pleasant location full of trees and greenery. Thirdly, due to its
location the zone can stay open until late hours. And lastly, it is very close to the Exhibition
Center where many workshops will be held.
The Gymzone will be opened daily with respect to the EUROGYM programme so the
participants will be able to relax and have fun there. On one hand, part of the sports fields
will be available without any time restrictions, on the other, some sports attractions will be
available from afternoon till evening but not during Gala evening or Opening and Closing
Ceremony.
Parties
The Welcome party will be held in Budvar Arena after the Opening Ceremony. The Farewell
party will be held in Budvar Arena starting directly after the Closing Ceremony. Other
happenings will be presented during the week, check on the 10th EUROGYM 2016 official
Facebook page and Instagram.
Excursions around South Bohemia
Our information desk is offering various excursions for groups. Details can be found on
our website www.eurogym2016.org. For organisation reasons every group needs to have
approximately 40-50 participants.
There is only limited space for every excursion. Updated list can be found on information
desk in Pavilon Z in Exhibition Center.

EUROGYM GALA JULY 22
The theme for the EUROGYM Gala 2016 is “World of illusions in changing times”. The
EUROGYM Gala will take place at Budvar Arena since 20:00. The doors will open for audience
30 minutes before the show starts, please be on time and take a seat, so the Gala show can
start on time.

The order in the programme will be communicated to the groups at the meeting of heads of
delegations on 22nd July.
Rehearsal - participation is obligatory for every group!
Rehearsal I.: July 20 - Budvar arena 14:30-18:30
Each group will move to the Budvar arena after their city performance. Rehearsal takes about
15 minutes. Order and time of rehearsal will receive at registration of expedition. At this first
rehearsal will be arranged place of equipments, lighting and other.
Rehearsal II.: July 22 – Budvar arena 13:30 – 15:30
The performances will be in order of the main programme with lighting and practise
interconnect performance + practise common conclusion of GALA.
Dress rehearsal III.: July 22 – Budvar arena 16:30 – 18:30
The evaluation of dress rehearsal with heads of groups 18:30 – 19:00 (take place in direction).
The main programme of GALA 20:00 – 21:30. The entry (rehearsals and main programme)
for performers will be entrance BA by the cash box number 1, there will be attendance.
The rehearsals and dress rehearsal will be accessible only to members of groups of
performances.
Do not leave valuables in changing rooms of BA, because the GALA has 800 participants.
While staying at Budvar arena please observe the instructions of the organizers, thank you.
TICKETS
If your family and friends, who are not participating in EUROGYM 2016, want to buy tickets to
the EUROGYM GALA, they can buy it Pavilon Z – 2 hours before every programmes at Budvar
arena. The cost is 5 EUR per ticket for person, who booked advance. The cost 7 EUR per ticket
is for other. You can will buy it at boxing cash number 1. All communication concerning the

ATTENDING THE EUROGYM GALA:
EUROGYM participants who are not participating in the EUROGYM Gala will be able to watch Gala
show.
Each group will have a specific section to where the group will be seated. See the map of seating
of BUDVAR arena below. This applies to Opening/Gala/Closing. Please respect the pre-determined
seating, otherwise someone won’t get a seat. To watch the EUROGYM Gala you need your EUROGYM
participant card! Exact seating instruction will be given to each group at accreditation.
GYMNASTICS EQUIPMENT
AVAILABLE DURING EUROGYM
The Czech company DIONY Sports, which got also
FIG certificate for all matts and floors will deliver the
equipment to Eurogym.
In Budvar Arena, there will be available:
2 gymnastics carpets – 14 x 14 m
2 airtracks 1800 x 200 x 20 cm
2 small trampolines Dorado
3 landing matts to trampolines
Classical Vaulting table with the whole set for vault
(with running up, landing matts, springboards,
special mat around the springboards, etc.)
Foam vaulting table
Men´s bars with landing mats
Many other mats with different sizes
STAGES:
Two will be more equiped and two will be less
equiped – your groups are divided to those podiums
according your equipment needs mentioned in the
registration system.
There will be: two 18 m long airtracks in front of
two podiums with the run up to each airtrack and
landing space
Carpets 14x14 m 3,5 cm high at each podium
Springboards
Foam and table
Foam and normal vaulting boxes
At more equiped podiums – small trampoline
Dorado at each and 2 beams
2 boletes
Many different pieces of mats from 300x200x30 cm,
200x100x5cm, 200x200x10 cm, 100x200x80 cm etc.
Each mat in several examples.
FORUM:
One carpet 14x14 m/3,5 cm
GYMZONE:
Airtrack with running up and landing mats.
All mats, carpets , trampolines, foam equipment
and two complete sets of airtracks are for sale after
Eurogym with the rabat.
