w w w. m k s i n s t. c o m Process Environment Monitoring Auditing, Monitoring, and Training Novx voltage detection system series 5000 The Novx Voltage Detection System Series 5000 is an advanced instrument for use in electrostatic charge/electrostatic discharge (ESC/ESD) auditing, monitoring, and training with direct interface to the Novx Data Acquisition Software and facility monitoring systems. This instrument is used for test and analysis of human body voltage, product and real-time equipment performance, ground integrity, and ESD training. Use the Series 5000 with the Novx Training Light Tower to demonstrate electrostatic charge in the manufacturing environment. Specifications Special Features Voltage: An optional switch enables you to set up for a ±5000V or a ±500V full-scale instrument. High Voltage Power Supply Switch: The optional high voltage power supply switch may be used for charged plate decay time testing. Options Training Light Tower(s): The Series 5150 (5000V) and the Series 5160 (500V) provide a large visual display of voltage generation including polarity for use in personnel training and awareness demonstrations with real-time results. The towers are used to provide educational support for “hands-on” training on ESD causes and effects of various activities. Data Acquisition: Provides real-time data capture with time and date stamping for accurate SPC analysis. The software can be set for data capture rates up to 32,500 measurements/second or for alarm level data storage only, capturing data above customer programmed alarm levels for extended life testing. The software also provides ionization efficiency decay testing with programmable start and end-point settings for the application. Remote Probe: Allows for real-time product performance testing down to component pin level and real-time equipment testing for robotics, handlers, and pick-and-place. Very high input impedance provides extremely accurate and product safe measurement information of actual voltage levels.
