Bedliner Production Outline
Taping and Papering:
“Protect what you do not want sprayed”
Mask off bed of truck to protect areas of truck not to be coated with TOFF
Utilize cutting tape to produce clean cut trim lines

Sanding – Surface Preparation:

Operating instructions
The TOFF CS spray gun is easy to use and to maintain. The following
procedures will help you understand how the spray gun operates,
providing you with simple procedures to maintain your equipment in
good working condition.
Always wear proper protective equipment for all
applications!
Safety
This spray gun is designed for heavy duty cycles over extended
operating periods. As compressed air is used as the power source,
it must be remembered that compressed air CAN BE DANGEROUS
when used incorrectly. The user should take time to read and
understand these operating instructions fully prior to using the spray
gun. Any modifications to the spray gun made by the user could
cause personal injury.
Support Handle
The black support handle can be threaded into multiple locations on
your spray gun. Select the position that best suits you.
Air Assembly and Regulator
Secure the air assembly and regulator to the gun handle. Utilizing
Teflon tape is suggested.
Compressed Dry Air Supply
The regulator gauge should be set between 90 and 100 PSI.
Check the supply pressure. For optimum performance the supply
pressure must be greater than 100 PSI and less than 145 PSI. 120 PSI
is suggested. The incoming air pressure supplied to the cylinder is
regulated by the air regulator and speed control dial. The air pressure
going to the atomization tip is regulated by the atomization valve.
The spray gun will work at lower supply pressures, but flow will be
reduced and may vary potentially causing restrictions or blockages.
Connect the spray gun to a suitable compressed air source using the
fitting supplied or with a suitable fitting.

O p e r a t i o n s
A. Speed Control Dial
The Speed Control Dial regulates the air flow to the cylinder and thus
the material flow rate in conjunction with chemical temperature. This
regulator is located on the back of the gun near the directional brass
buttons. Turn this dial towards the (+) plus sign until resistance is met.
Then turn the dial 1 rotation of 360 degrees towards the (-) minus
sign. This is where the regulator should be set.
B.Trigger
By pulling the trigger, a cushion of compressed air is built up inside
the spray gun, which initiates the flow of material. On releasing the
trigger, the material flow ceases as the compressed air escapes
rapidly by a quick exhaust valve at the rear of the gun.
C. Forward Air / Reverse Air Buttons
Push the “Forward Air” button for
spraying of material. Push the “Reverse
Air” button to pull the plunger rods
back automatically and to ready the
spray gun for the next cartridge. Do not
touch button with elbow or shoulder
while spraying.
D. Safety Valve
If you hear air leaking from the handle,
then your compressor source is
exceeding 145 PSI and the safety valve
is bleeding off the excess air. You should adjust the source so that it is
lower than 145 PSI.
Familiarize yourself with the spray gun before loading a cartridge to
spray.
Connect the airline to the spray gun and WITHOUT A CARTRIDGE,
identify the forward and reverse buttons, trigger the gun forward and
backwards. Identify the atomization valve and its location. Trigger
the gun forward and backwards several times and mimic your spray
pattern before spraying a liner. Be careful not to open the atomization
valve with a loose airline!

E. Cartridge Preparation & Loading
For application, chemical temperature should be between 80-95F
(use thermometer provided to confirm). Remove the plug from the
cartridge nozzle. Attach the mixing tube tightly to thenozzle.
Maintain open cartridges in a vertical position to avoid blockages in
the mixer. Maintain the spray gun in a vertical position to during and
after loading cartridges.
It is important that the cartridge is seated properly in the applicator
frame. If the front of the cartridge is not seated properly, breakage
of the cartridge can result. The front face of the cartridge must be
flush to the front plate of the applicator. Cartridge should also seat
properly in the black guide plate.
Attach the airline elbow to the atomization tip on the end of the
mixing tube. Adjust the tip so that it sits flush with the mixing tube
itself. It is recommended to prepare all cartridges for the application
before beginning to spray.
F. Application
Maintain your spray gun and cartridge in a vertical position. Keep
the atomization valve closed until after purging air bubbles. With
the gun pointed away from the surface to be sprayed, lower the gun
to ~ a 45 degree angle. Pull the trigger and purge the air bubbles.
Once the bubbles are purged and an even stream is obtained, open
the atomization valve to set your spray pattern and begin your
application. To apply the texture coat, open your atomization valve
more completely and maintain a good distance from the surfaces for
a uniform texture.
If air bubbles are not purged, an improper off ratio reaction may
occur. All improperly reacted material must be removed and surfaces
cleaned properly before re-spraying
