Ottawa Invaders 2nd season!
Plans are well under way for the
Ottawa Invaders’ 2nd season in
Ottawa, with the home opener set
for Saturday, May 28, 2011. Once
again, we’re committed to offering
our sponsors, our partners, and
of course our fans one of the best
events of the Summer! With the
support of sports enthusiasts, local
businesses, enthusiastic and loyal
spectators and all of our sponsors,
we can keep that commitment and
keep growing to better ourselves
in order to keep football in the
capital.
Who are the
Ottawa invaders?
The Ottawa Invaders are the latest addition to the
Northern Football Conference which was formed in
1954. Its purpose then and now is to provide an
opportunity for athletes over the age of 19 to play
football beyond high school, junior or university.
These players have played in local high schools,
NCAFA teams, Universities and even the CFL.
There are ten teams from areas such as Sarnia,
Toronto, Sault St. Marie, and North Bay.
The Ottawa Invaders was established in November
2009 by two students and long time friends, James
McAllister and Erik Faucon. Both played for the Sir
Wilfrid Laurier Lancers, then the Cumberland Panthers
until the age of 22 – the official cutoff age of the QJFL.
Not quite ready to call it quits, James started a group
on Facebook hoping to find people in the community
who felt the same. The group grew to over 300 people
almost over night, where they recruited Richard Smith
II as the Director of Operations and later, Head Coach
Ken Evraire and the Invaders were born.
The Ottawa Invaders will play their home games at
Keith Harris Stadium at Carleton University, with a staff
of approximately 10 and a full roster of 55 players.

We welcome all football fans young and old to attend
Ottawa Invaders games at Keith Harris Stadium at Carleton
University.
The CFL’s Ottawa Roughriders were founded in
1876 they remain one of the oldest and longest
lived professional sports teams in North America.
Since the folding of the Ottawa Renegades in 2006, there
has been a void in the hearts of football fans in the capital.
Universtiy of Ottawa GeeGee’s enjoy a large fan
base with an average attendance of approx. 4000
The ottawa invaders strive to keep football alive in Ottawa
while entertaining the older football fans and introducing
football to a new generation of fans as well. Our event aims
to be fun for the whole family.
Lansdowne Live proposal by OSEG (owner of the
Ottawa 67’s hockey team) will bring a CFL team
back to the capital in 2013.
Recruitment from Junior Teams (age 18-22)
Sooners, Jr. Riders and Panthers. These are
established teams with large support from the
Ottawa football community.
The Ottawa Invaders season runs from late May
to late August—No other sports teams play in
Ottawa during this time. There is no NHL or NFL
during this time either.

Title Sponsor- $5,000
Being a title sponsor for the Invaders would
mean attaching your name to all of the great
things that the Invaders are doing on and off
the field. To partner with the Ottawa Invaders
means to connect with the large number of
Invaders players, coaches, fans and other
supporters of the Invaders community. As a
title sponsor you would receive everything
in the touchdown package as well as the
following benefits:
