It all started with computers, e-mail and the internet
– nowadays IP-technology is an integral part of video
surveillance, television, access control and telephony.
IP has become the standard in the world of Security and
Intercom – from connection of individual emergency help
points to cross-boarder networking of locations. Commend
meets the concerns of this development with the new
Intercom Servers GE 800 and GE 300.
Optimal intelligibility of speech has always been a key
feature of Commend Servers. With the new audio standard
of 16 kHz speech communication, emergency
calls and announcements are transmitted in never before
heard clearness. At the same time the new IP-Intercom
Servers additionally assume the tasks of PA-servers and
allow the consolidation of PA and Intercom on a single
platform.

Commend is once again setting standards with the IPIntercom Servers GE 800 and GE 300 and once more grabs
the spot of technological leader in this segment. With a IP
and digital bus concept the new IP-Intercom Serves are
more powerful than all previous generations.
100% Flexible
Commend IP-Intercom Servers are scalable and can be
adapted to the requirements. Existing Intercom terminals
or Intercom Servers are easily integrated in the network. It
is possible to connect all IP, digital and analogue Intercom
terminals of Commend as well as SIP-servers and SIP or
analogue telephones. What more could you ask for?
Configuration via IP
The new IP-bus concept allows programming via the IPinterface. Configuration and maintenance of the Intercom
system are a simple task within the own data network as
well as over the internet (password protected). Needless
to say with built-in security: firewall functionality and the
own Commend IoIP® protocol are on board and offer the
highest level of security against unauthorised connection or
even attacks. Even updates of the operating system via IP
become reality as well as unlocking of required functions.
Easily Expandable
IP-technology makes it possible. Networking of IP-Intercom
Servers within a rack via the built-in switch as well as cross
boarder networking of locations is easier as ever before.
The system is scalable as required and grows with the
requirements of the operator and the users.

Networking of GE 800/GE 300
Intercom over IP (IoIP) is the Key
Intercom Control Room
Data networks are flexible – all kinds of data can be
transmitted, as long as they correspond to the protocol used.
VoIP or Voice over IP describes the transmission of speech,
especially in telephony.
Call Center
IoIP® goes one step further: IoIP® is the logical successor
to VoIP – especially developed to meet the requirements
of Intercom, with enhanced speech quality and improved
data security. IoIP® from Commend is the protocol
for professional connection of Intercom terminals and
networking of Intercom Servers, especially for professional
security and communication solutions.
IP-Intercom terminals are connected to the Intercom Servers
via the IP-network. Via IP-Intercom boxes digital 2-wire and
even analogue 4-wire stations can easily be connected.
Existing terminals can be integrated in the system. The data
network functions as Intercom network and costly additional
cabling is not required. Remote locations (e.g. emergency
help points) can be connected without large expenses.
With the new IP-Intercom Servers GE 800 and GE 300
Commend shows the direction of the future without loosing
the focus on the proven technology of the past. The keyword
is backwards compatibility. Existing installations can be
connected to devices of the newest generation without
difficulties.

Whenever borders disappear
Systems in the security field must always be available,
because in emergency situations they decide between life
and death.
The reason why such intensive efforts are made in this area
are obvious to Georg Winkler: “Every increase of availability
which brings us closer to 100 % is decisive, and can save
lives”. The concept of the new Intercom Servers will be fully
secured by redundant technology, in order to guarantee the
highest level of operational safety.
With 99.995 % availability, the highest possible level of
reliability of the new generation GE 300 and GE 800 servers
is undisputed.
