Golden Saber™ Bonded HPJ (High-Performance Jacket) and Non-Bonded HPJ. Street proven rounds that are the ultimate in handgun
ammunition. The power of these high-performance hollow-point bullets relies on 3 design features that interact together to provide rapid, controlled expansion, deep
penetration, max weight retention and exceptional accuracy. Rest assured that these bullets have passed and defeated a full range of barrier tests.
• The Jacket Nose Cut Design forms a folded spiral pattern that curls one edge of each jacket petal

inward, which completely cuts through the jacket into the hollow-point. This causes early cavity failure
and starts controlled expansion, while still conserving energy for superior penetration. This design ensures
positive expansion even at lower velocities.

standard copper gilding metal. Jacket petals open rapidly to form shoulders that support the mushrooming
core, which creates an aggressive frontal area (at least 1.6 times the bullet diameter) over a longer
distance in the wound cavity.
Driving Band™
• The Driving Band™ located at the bullet’s rear is the larger groove diameter behind the front section of bore
diameter. When fired, it locks core to jacket to prevent core/jacket separation and reduces rifling contact friction for optimum muzzle velocity. Also, the reduced
front diameter allows the bullet to align precisely in the
bore before the band engages the rifling to produce true match-grade accuracy and higher velocity conservation.

The Golden Saber bullet has our unique Driving Band profile – a section of the bullet where its diameter is
enlarged from bore diameter to groove diameter. The shoulder of the Driving Band locks the jacket and core together
for maximum integrity. The reduced diameter in front of the Driving Band allows the bullet to align precisely in the
bore before the band engages the rifling, producing true match-grade accuracy. This profile reduces jacket contact
with the rifling, which conserves muzzle velocity often sacrificed with today’s heavier weight bullets.

You never know what will be in the way during a critical encounter, but your bullet must
slam right through the barrier and provide terminal performance beyond. Our Golden Saber
Bonded uses an exclusive Remington hot-bonded process
to fuse the core and brass jacket, forming a bullet that
smashes through standard barriers and provides exceptional
expansion, penetration, and impressive weight retention
beyond – up to 97% through auto glass. In fact, the
bonding has increased the bullets’ performance through
wallboard and plywood, while the jacket and core
concentricity and resulting gyroscopic balance maintain
match-grade accuracy.

This sequence of high speed photography above shows the superior performance Golden Saber™ HPJ Bonded bullets through automobile glass. In frame 1, the 230-gr., 45 caliber Golden
Saber™ Bonded bullet impacts typical automobile windshield glass (the glass is not visible as a sheet because it is lit to be able to see the approaching bullet through it). To represent a shot
taken from the left front quarter of a vehicle, the glass is set at an angle of 45° to horizontal and the center line of the gun bore is offset 15° to the side. In frames 2-4 the Golden Saber™

weather conditions. Primers are triple-checked during manufacturing for
reliable ignition. 100% propellant detection is performed for the cartridge
and 100% visual inspection before packaging. Flash-suppressed powders
allow faster low light target re-acquisition. Reduced bullet nose diameter
allows for precise bore alignment and match-grade accuracy. Optimum
barrier penetration and expansion through the full range of accepted
barrier tests. Available in 7 Calibers: 380 Auto, 9mm, 357 Sig, 38 Spl.,

elongated carrier release button. With the normal combat loading
technique, the nose of the round will easily engage the carrier
release button allowing quick access to the magazine tube. Loading
the Model 11-87P™ now becomes as easy as loading the 870P.™

Optional Insignia and Property Marks. On both the
Model 870 and Model 11-87 shotguns, letters or numerals (or
combinations) can be engraved on the receiver at a nominal
charge. Simple property marks or insignia, up to 1 1/4" square, can
also be engraved on receivers for orders of 25 guns or more. You
furnish the design; we’ll adapt it for engraving.

LE 12-Gauge Buckshot comes in various pellet sizes, full power and reduced
recoil loads for your duty and training requirements.
Express® Buckshot is available in standard and magnum loadings, and provides the reliability,
consistency, and stopping power that you expect. Available in 5 buckshot sizes: 000, 00, 0, 1, and 4. Our 9pellet OO-Express LE Buckshot created a new standard of pattern performance with the addition of our
one-piece compression section Power Piston® wad column, polymer buffering and hardened 3% antimony
pellets. This combination produces patterns 25% tighter than previous buckshot offerings.
TAC 8® 00-Buckshot is a full load 8-pellet 00-Buck that boasts a highly concentrated 1/2" to 3/4"
per yard pattern spread. The pattern is controlled by utilizing 00-buck with 3% antimony lead and a
precisely loaded special shot cup. TAC 8 also eliminates the 9th pellet flyer that can totally destroy a
good pattern. Five shots at 15 yds using an 870
Police 18" barrel, improved cylinder shotgun produced a spread of 9 7/8". In addition, the primer and
mouth are waterproofed for maximum
reliability under harsh environmental conditions.

LE 12-Gauge Slugs come in full power and reduced recoil loads for your duty and training requirements.
Slugger® Rifled Slugs have been the LE standard for decades – nothing shoots straighter and hits
harder in no-compromise situations. Design improvements include a larger slug diameter for better gas
sealing and the addition of a high-density polymer disk under the slug, which produces a perfectly aligned
exit from the muzzle for dramatically enhanced accuracy.
Reduced Recoil Rifled Slugs are specifically
engineered to improve a shooter’s capabilities with
a shotgun. RR Slugs generate 45% less recoil
than a standard 1 oz. rifled slug load for enhanced
follow-up shots in tactical situations. The reduced
recoil also helps during training and encourages
shotgun duty use.
• Point-of-Impact is Identical to a Standard
1 oz. Slug out to 50 yards and only 1 1/2"
lower at 100-yards. The high-density polymer
alignment disk under the slug’s base produces
enhanced accuracy.

ballistics testing seminars” using accepted firearms industry standard protocols and calibrated 10% ballistic gelatin.
The testing includes projectile performance in bare gelatin and penetration through barriers that can be found on the
street (auto glass, car door steel, wallboard, plywood, and light to heavy clothing) and then terminating in gelatin.

reviews of resulting bullet mushroom
diameters and recovery weights.
Throughout the testing, we examine the gelatin’s temporary (stretch) and permanent (crush) cavities, barrier
penetration, the projectile’s velocity/expansion/weight retention,
and discuss the overall wound profile that determines the
projectile’s ability to produce incapacitation. Remington also
welcomes the opportunity to compare our products with any
competitor’s equivalent product.

MARS (Modular Accessory Rail System).
The Modular Accessory Rail System (MARS) is specifically designed
to support 21st Century police and military operations in which visible and
infrared illumination and aiming devices are to be employed in addition to
state-of-the-art night vision systems. The MARS provides the needed flexibility and
versatility to support the mounting of devices such as the AN/PEQ-2, AN/PEQ-4, CVL,
White Light illumination devices as well as a host of others using the 1913 Picatinny rail mounting system.
The MARS is a 3-piece system that features a top rail for mounting the day optic and application of the Universal Night Sight Æ
(UNS) from Optical Systems Technology and 2 side rails that may be moved or removed as necessary to accommodate the mission and
ancillary devices. The MARS is offered in both long and short action models to include degreed models for the long action systems in which more
