Re-using oe hardware, install Legend handlebar control as shown in Figure A. B. Route cable down the handlebars and under C. C. Connect the connector from the handlebar control to the mating connector on the wiring harness. Secure cable using cable-ties. D. B. A. Remove the fuse from the fuse holder on the wiring harness. the gas tank to the battery compartment. D. Remove the battery and the battery box From the battery compartment, route the compressor end (gray and black connectors) of the harness to the compressor location by the right side forward Figure B control mount, shown in Figure B. Follow the right side vertical frame member down, and cross over to the right side lower frame rail. STEP THREE: COMPRESSOR MOUNT A. Remove the two screws holding the right side forward control in place. If the bike has mid-controls, remove the plastic hole-plugs. B. Apply blue thread locker to the oe screws and mount bracket (a.), between the forward control and the Frame mount, or if bike has mid-controls use supplied screws 800-0026, as show in Figure B. Do not tighten the screws yet. C. 800-0026 (2x) 200-2025 (3x) 800-0036 (3x) D. Reinstall the fuse in the fuse holder B. Push top button to inflate shocks, and MAKE SURE TUBING IS CUT AT A CLEAN 90° ANGLE bottom button to deflate shocks. oe screw 108-1101 C. 103-2004 Check tire to fender clearance when shocks are fully compressed. Without sitting on the bike, inflate shocks E. The bike should sag down less than one inch when you sit F. The rebound damping controls the speed at which the shocks until the bike stops rising. FIN E TUN ING R E B OU N D DAM PI NG : F OR LEGEND AE RO -A AN D R E VO -A M O D E L S on your bike with all the weight you will be riding with. Position one will provide the least amount of damping allowing shock to rebound to fully extended length the fastest. (softens shock slightly in terms of compression.) absorber extends after being compressed during impact. not enough rebound damping lets the suspension spring Position three is the intermediate position. Position six will provide the most amount of damping allowing shock to rebound to fully extended position the slowest. (stiffens shock slightly in terms of compression.) D. F I R MER back too quickly and the bike feel unstable. too much rebound damping causes the rear to jump on bumps instead of following the surface. SOFTER MACHINED DOT ON SHOCK G. Go riding, and adjust spring rate on-the-go to your preference. 06.06.16
