Using the RS485 communication link via any standard PC, up to 254 separate loads can be controlled. Each load can have up to 1024 control levels of resolution. Alternatively, each thyristor controlled load can be varied by an externally connected potentiometer, providing a variable 0-5Vdc analogue input to the TC201. When the 05Vdc I/P terminal of the TC201 is switched to the wiper of an external potentiometer, the 05Vdc I/P input will automatically over-ride the phase-angle trigger level from the RS485 Communication Up to 255 trigger units can be connected Windows Based Software Available The TC201 supports digital communication based on RS485 multi-slave bus configuration using two wires. The bus master is usually a PC with a serial RS485 communication port. Each TC201 connected to the RS485 bus acquires a unique address from the bus master during the setup phase. The addressing scheme allows a maximum of 255 units to be connected on the same bus. The communication protocol supports various commands that allow each TC201 output level to be set by the master, status interrogation, or change of configuration. The following commands are supported: Level: The output level of the TC201 can be set by the master between 0 to 1023. Status: 50/60Hz - the mains frequency detected. local/remote - local if the analogue I/P is connected. softstart cycle - the number of cycles used to ramp the output from 0 to setpoint during power up or when the zero crossing pulse is re-established. The range is 0 to 100 cycles. setpoint filter - (0 to 10) the number of cycles used to filter the setpoint step changes. Configuration: softstart cycle - the number of cycles used to ramp the output from 0 to setpoint during power up or when the zero crossing pulse is re-established. The range is 0 to 100 cycles. setpoint filter - (0 to 10) the number of cycles used to filter the setpoint step changes. © Tactical Controls Limited Unit 4, Parkland Business Centre, Chartwell Road, Lancing, West Sussex, BN15 8UE Tel: 01903-750800 Fax: 01903-750678 Email: [email protected] page 2 of 4 Specification Technical Specification Operating Supply Voltage . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
