Moratorium on mining, fisheries policies urged
To save from hunger fishers affected by Chinese claim in Western waters
By Ding Cervantes
CLARK FREEPORT – Hundreds if not
thousands of fisherfok displaced by
China’s claim over the Scarborough
Shoal off the western coast of Zambales and Pangasinan have appealed
for a moratorium on two government
policies that have worsened their plight.
After a three-day fact-finding sortie to fishing communities in the two
provinces’ coastal areas, representatives from six non-government groups
reported that the affected small fisherfolk now earn a measly P50 to P100
from three days of fishing within municipal waters, amid their fears of venturing farther to the Bajo de Masinloc or
the Scarborough Shoal where Chinese
vessels chase them away.
They used to earn a much as
P3,500 from three days of fishing in
the Scarborough waters, the fact-finding team said.
“The affected small fishermen who
are barred by the Chinese from Bajo
De Masinloc are now victims of the
Fisheries Code. They are contained
within municipal waters, and yet some
of these area are polluted by sediments from mining operations in their
provinces,” noted Anakpawis partylist
Rep. Fernando Hicap.
He said the fisherfolk sought the
help of the fact-finding committee to appeal to the government on moratorium
on the enforcement of the Code as well
as mining operations in their provinces.
The Fisheries Code allows only the
use of fishing rods in municipal waters
within 15 kilometers from the coast.
Commercial fishing is allowed only beyond 15 kilometers, but these areas
are being guarded by Chinese vessels amid the ownership claim of China
over the Scarborough area.
The fact-finding team, which was
participated in by former Sen. Leti-
cia Ramos-Shahani, was composed
of representatives from the fisherfolk
group Pamalakaya, Pilipinong Nagkakaisa para sa Soberanya, Anakpawis
partylist, Alyansa ng mga Magbubukid
sa Gitnang Luson, Bayan Central Luzon, Move Now Zambales and Pamalakaya Pangasinan.
Hicap said “Philippine policies and
programs are putting the affected fisherfolk communities in worse hardship,
particularly the implementation of Republic Act No. 8550 or the Fisheries
Code of 1998 and the Mining Act of
1995.”
He noted the small fishermen are
compelled to fish in municipal waters
in fear of the Chinese beyond 15 kilometers off the coast, but they are fined
when caught by government authorities. Their plight is made worse by
pollution caused by mining operations
which continue to deplete fish population in municipal waters, he added.
Hicap said the Filipino fisherfolk in
Zambales and Pangasinan are “casualties of Chinese foreign aggression
but the Aquino administration appears
to ignore their plight.”
Anakpawis urged the local governments of Zambales and Pangasinan and national agencies such as the
Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Reforms (BFAR), Philippine Coast Guard
and other law-enforcement agencies to
impose a moratorium on penalties on
small fisherfolk.
Anakpawis is pushing amendment
to the fisheries law to allow small fishers to harvest in municipal waters while
the group is working to legislate its repeal in congress. It added that as the
issue of West Philippine Sea is a national and international issue, the Aquino government should have implemented a national mobilization to support and alleviate its effects on the affected sectors of the country.

NFA-Bataan starts
‘Food Guardian’ campaign
By Ernie Esconde
BALANGA CITY - The National Food Authority provincial office here on Wednesday started the search
for volunteers for the “Food Guardian” campaign
launched the other day by its Manila head office.
“The campaign aimed to have volunteers from
all walks of life to guard and look after food security.
Our main office is targeting one million volunteers for
the country’s population of 100 million Filipinos,” said
Coco Reyes, NFA-Bataan information officer.
She said that the targeted ratio is one volunteer
for every 100 people.
Adelaida Nuestro, NFA-Bataan manager, sworein the first batch of volunteers composed of presidents of municipal and provincial rice retailers’ associations and some local reporters before signing at
the Pledge Wall.
“I will help in making sure that rice is available,
accessible, affordable and visible in public markets
and follow the correct food handling procedure to
make sure that rice is safe for consumers,” read the
pledge.
Nuestro said that for the first time, they are holding an open house, opening the Balanga City warehouse to the public during NFA’s 43rd anniversary.
NFA-Bataan also conducted a bloodletting campaign.
She said that the province has nothing to worry
about rice supplies during El Nino. “We have more
than sufficient inventory of rice in Bataan. Our stock
is more than the requirement for food security for 15
days,” Nuestro said.

Most welcome,

NEWS OF the Reyes brothers’ arrest in Thailand is
most welcome and yet cause for much concern as
well. Welcome in that, after four years and a half, the
accused masterminds of the murder of our colleague
Gerry Ortega have at last been collared and, by most
indications, may soon be deported back to the country
to face the justice they have eluded for so long.
And yet concern because we all remember the
circumstances in which they were able to flee the country
in March 2012, just before warrants for their arrest were
issued apparently, with false travel papers and the help
of crooked immigration officials after what can only be
assumed was a tip-off from even more crooked officials
higher up in government about their impending arrest.
We will set aside questions raised by the claim of
their lawyer that Joel and Mario Reyes were not arrested
but supposedly surrendered to Thai authorities and the
even more bothersome notion that they may even seek
election next year.
What does seem obvious at this point is that, for all
its rhetoric of wanting Joel and Mario Reyes arrested as
much as anyone else seeking justice for Gerry Ortega,
this government has done little, if anything, to bring this
about.
We are sorry to prick his bubble again but President
Aquino is way off base for saying, as quoted by Palace
mouthpiece Edwin Lacierda, the capture of the brothers
“proves the resolve of the government to go after the
fugitives.”
And given continued inaction, even apathy, towards
other cases of media killings and human rights abuses
in general, we share the wariness of the Ortega family,
given that, to date, Justice Secretary Leila de Lima has
yet to resolve the petition for review they filed against
the 2011 findings of the original panel of prosecutors
that ludicrously cleared the Reyes brothers of murder,
notwithstanding the confessions of members of the
team that carried out the hit.
It’s not yet too late for the administration to set aside
its shameless credit grabbing rhetorics and actually
do something to help the family achieve the justice
long denied from them by our flawed legal and law
enforcement system. For starters, De Lima can and
should act on the long pending Petition for Review to
ensure that the ongoing trial in the Palawan RTC will
continue. We’ve had enough of the administration
according special treatment to favored and influential
individuals facing criminal charges. The Reyes brothers
in the last five years had brazenly trampled upon
our legal system and exposed the weaknesses and
corruptibility of our enforcement systems, bribing their
way out of the country and eluding arrest in a touristy
hideaway until the Thai authorities had to do the work
for us. It’s time for government to say it’s payback time,
in concrete deeds and real words.
If anything, it has been the courage and the
unwavering resolve of the Ortega family, along with all
those who have stood by them in demanding justice,
which have kept the flame burning and will, hopefully,
finally lead to the first conviction of the masterminds
in the killing of a Filipino journalist. And then, perhaps,
justice will become more than an elusive dream for all
the families of our 169 other murdered colleagues. (Statement of the National Union of Journalists of the
Philippines on the Reyes brothers’ arrest, Sept. 22, 2015)

Sugat sa kasaysayan
Bong Z. Lacson
true-to-life story, o historical fiction.
pelikula.
Datapwa’t, hindi ito isang movie review. Wala
akong anumang pagkukunwari o ambisyon,
lalo’t higit munting kaalaman man lamang, na
Dalawang magkahiwalay
at magka-ibang mga kaganapan na iisa ang
pinag-usbungan – inggitan, magkakasalungat
na interes, kataksilan, power struggle, internal
conflict, o yaong matatawag ding “revolution
in a revolution.” Na iisa ang pinanggalingang
kautusan – si Emilio Aguinaldo, pangulo ng
Pilipinas.
Burahin ang mukha ni Aguinaldo sa limang
piso!
Tomas Mascardo.
Ito ay akmang naisalarawan sa Heneral
Luna sa pamamagitan ng tauhang si Isabel.
Pangalawa, si Ysidra Cojuangco ng Paniqui,
Tarlac, na sinasabing kasintahan ni Luna
at umano’y pinag-iwanan niya ng pondo ng
himagsikan bago siya tumungong Cabanatuan
kung saan siya nga’y pinatay.
Sa isang eksena sa pelikula, nakapaniig ni
Luna si Isabel isang gabing bilog at maliwanag
ang buwan.
Si Isabel ba ay composite character halaw
kina Nicolasa at Ysidra para lamang sa
dramatic effect?
Anu’t ano pa man, mayroong mga hindi
maitatatwang katotohanan ang Heneral Luna.
Ito ay ang pagsasalarawan sa katauhang
Pilipino mula sa mga pangungusap ng
mga tauhan, bukod tangi ang heneral. Mga
pangungusap na sumasalamin sa nakaraan

“Nasa ibang ulo ang utak ng inyong
kapitan…”

Kanya-kanya. Watak-watak.
Kaisipang-makasarili, kalakarang-tribo.
Ganito ba talaga ang tadhana natin?

Ito ang Pilipino.

Ito si Heneral Luna. Ito si Bonifacio.

General Simeon Ola
surrenders to American
Colonel Harry H. Banholtz
On September 25, 1903,
Simeon Arboleda Ola, revolutionary leader of Guinobatan,
Albay, surrendered to American Colonel Harry H. Banholtz, over a year after the surrender of General Miguel Malvar to the Americans on April
16, 1902.
General Ola surrendered
on the condition that his men
would be granted amnesty.
He was put on trial and was
proven guilty of sedition and
was sentenced to thirty years
in prison. In 1904, he was
pardoned and returned to his
place of birth and became the
municipal president.
Simeon Ola was born on
September 2, 1865 to Vicente Ola and Apolonia Arboleda, who were ordinary citizens
with little money. He was enrolled in Holy Rosary Minor
Seminary and studied Phi-
losophy, but didn’t finish the
course. He joined the local
branch of the Katipunan in his
hometown, province of Albay
and later became their leader.
The regional police command in Legazpi City was
named after him.
Simeon Arboleda Ola died
on February 14, 1952 and was
interred at the Roman Catholic Cemetery of Guinobatan,
Albay.

‘Mystic’ has prophecy
for September 27
Ing ‘Poor Boy’
ning Lubao
I have reserved some skepticism over an anonymous mystic from Pennsylvania
although his/her credibility was once vouchsafed by a Catholic priest, Monsignor
John Essef, a diocesan priest of Scranton in the US state. Alas, Essef was once
a spiritual director of Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
however, was a mere report, not an issuance
directly from him.
Anyway, the mystic claimed having received
from the Blessed Mother the following prophecy,
referring to an economic collapse:
“This collapse has been a long time in
coming, preceded by many incidents that should
have awakened the world. God is not the cause
of the collapse and the collapse is not a divine
chastisement. The collapse comes because of
man’s free will and the choices he has made. The
collapse has no purpose. It results from
purposeless decisions made from self-interest.
“The collapse will not come before Pope Francis
comes to America but it will happen while he is
in America. I deliberately brought the Pope to
America, the world’s financial center, to be here
when it takes place. I want him to be part of the
picture. I want him to be present. His presence
in America will be my sign that the Church is
very important in saving mankind from its own
follies. Toward the end of his trip, he will have
to shift his message and address the new world
situation. In this way, I will begin to exalt the
Church as a beacon of light in the darkness.”
What specific prophecy! People should
pray it doesn’t come true. But if it doesn’t, the
mystic is fated to be doomed as a false prophet
prophesied to proliferate in the end times.
The prophecy, for whatever it is worth, now
bears watching. Pope Francis leaves the US
at 8 p.m. on September 27, a Sunday that
ushers in the rare “blood moon.”
Cebu Pacific and Tigerair
Strategic Alliance continues to soar
Strategic Alliance Agreement Approved
by Competition Commission of Singapore
Cebu Pacific and Tigerair welcome the Competition Commission of Singapore
(CCS) approval of the Strategic Alliance Agreement between the two airlines.
The approval of the alliance
follows a thorough review by
the CCS and enables Cebu
Pacific and Tigerair to deepen
cooperation for the Philippine
and Singapore markets. In
addition, Cebu Pacific and Tigerair have an existing interline
cooperation as part of the alliance and the CCS approval allows both airlines to build upon
the current arrangements.
With both carriers operating complementary networks,
the strategic alliance provides
greater connectivity to travellers. Cebu Pacific’s passengers, particularly from the Phil-
ippines, will be able to enjoy
seamless connections onto Tigerair’s established network in
South East Asia and India. Tigerair’s customers, on the other hand, will be able to select
from Cebu Pacific’s extensive
network in the Philippines and
North Asia. The approval by
the CCS creates greater potential for closer coordination
on sales and schedules on relevant routes, which will offer
customers more flight options
at good value.
President and CEO of Cebu
Pacific, Mr Lance Gokongwei said, “CEB’s strategic alliance with Tigerair allows both
carriers to leverage on each
other’s strengths and complementary networks. CEB offers
the largest and most extensive
network in the Philippines and
Tigerair has an established
network in South East Asia
and India. With the clearance
from CCS, our customers can
enjoy more options and seamless travel connections.”
In response to the approval of the Strategic Alliance
Agreement, CEO of Tigerair,
Mr Lee Lik Hsin, said “We are
very pleased to have been
granted approval by the CCS
which further strengthens the
potential for collaboration. Tigerair has already been working closely with Cebu Pacific
in areas such as the interline
agreement. Going forward,
we will look in greater depth
on how we can combine both
our resources to provide even
greater connectivity, convenience and value to our customers.”

I cite the mystic here because his/her
credibility will cross a crucial road by the end
of this month, as the mystic is said to have
received a prophecy allegedly from the Blessed
Mother saying that on the last day of Pope
Francis’ visit to the US, which is this September
27, the US economy would collapse and this
would prompt the pontiff to revise his departure
speech to dwell on the issue.
The message was reportedly conveyed
by the Blessed Mother to the mystic only last
September 3.
Msgr. Essef had this to say about the mystic:
“For many years, I have been director for a
special soul. Five years ago, Jesus and Mary
began to speak to this soul through the gift of
locutions (as described by John of the Cross).
These locutions now total over 800. I have
discerned the validity of these locutions. Until
now, these locutions were personal teachings
given for the small community that gathered
in prayer. Beginning on December 10, 2010,
a new phase began, namely, some locutions
were to be told to the whole world....”
The alleged divine-sourced messages to the
mystic are being chronicled in www.locutions.

appear until 2014. The priest was reported to
have asked that his name and phone number
be stricken off in the website, purchased
by a follower from Ohio in 2011, as he was
being overwhelmed with too many phone calls
that kept him from doing his tasks well. This,

Text scams mount in CL
From page 1
“We are asked to
block the number of the
sender and this is done
within four days via our
central office,” she said,
even as she admitted
the NTC’s lack of capability to track down the
sender.
She said that even
telephone
companies
are reluctant to trace the
source of text scams un-
less there is a court order to do so.
Sitchon noted the difficulty of tracking down
text scammers who use
prepaid cards which they
eventually destroy. “This
is why we support the bill
now up for third reading
in Congress requiring
registration of pre-paid
SIM cards,” he said.
Manalo cited three
common types of text
scams. “One is the so-
called Panalo sa Raffle
scam that at times ask
for processing fees before a supposed raffle
prize can be claimed,”
she said.
“This type of scam
usually name drops popular names and institutions and would even
cite purported permit
number from the Department of Trade and Industry,” she noted.
The second type,
she said, is the “kamag-anak” request for
free load. The sender
declares being a relative
abroad or one in distress
and in need of cellphone
load.
Manalo said the third
is the “pasa or nakaw”
load wherein the sender
asks the potential victim
to message back by typing a certain set of numbers purportedly to settle
a billing problem or get
free load. “The numbers
turn out to be mechanisms to transfer load
to the sender, nothing
more,” she warned.
“The text scams
come from 11-digit numbers,” she also noted.
Sitchon said that in
all these cases, the text
message should be ignored.
Manalo said, however, that major telecoms
have telephone numbers
which can receive complaints on text scams.
“For Globe, it’s 730100,
for Smart 8881111 and
for Sun it’s 6398000,”
she said.
Sitchon noted, however, that the NTC has
now required telecoms
to send load confirmation prompt before sharing load is done. “So one
can opt to reject or accept passing on load,”
he added.

to undergo functional
and performance testing
starting next month. The
testing will involve plying and maneuvering the
main thoroughfares of
the Freeport before actual operations with commuting public.
The state-run firm
has allotted P1 million for
the whole undertaking
that would run for one
year. Drivers’ salary, operational expenses and
maintenance during the
interim operation will be
shouldered by CDC. The
driver of the train would
come from CDC pool of
drivers that would undergo training in DOST.
The bus-like train
would ferry passengers
for free in December
2015, in time for the holidays.
“Commuters in Clark
can also avail of the
‘smart’ commute free of
charge for a certain period of time as Wireless
Fidelity (WIFI) and Glob-
al Positioning System
(GPS) will be installed in
the train,” Tabag added.
“Nung

pwede nating i-adopt for
said objectives (reliable,
economical, eco-friendly and smart). We work
out to have a MOA with
DOST,” he said.
“The DOST offered to
lend CDC the unit (light
hybrid road train)” Tabag
said.
Dr. Rio S. Pagtalunan,
division chief for analysis
and testing said the light
hybrid train is the smaller
version the hybrid electric road train that was
tested for road-worthiness last June 25, 2015
here inside the Freeport.
It will still have five
coaches linked to one
another. One coach is
dedicated for the engine
and power mechanisms
and instruments, while
the other four coaches
can each accommodate
40-45 passengers.

the facilities in Clark especially the viable road
network that will enable
them to test the maximum speed of the said

features of Clark’s road
network are not available
in Metro Manila.
Made by Filipino-engineers, the bus-like
train can run with a max-

It is mainly powered by

country which has three
fiestas in one month –Fiestang Anghel, La Naval
and Fiestang Apu.”
Buan assured that
there will be better traffic coordination for this
year especially during
the processions like the
“Traslacion,” transfer of
the image of the Apung
Mamacalulu
(Merciful Lord) or Sto. Entiero (Holy Burial), a statue depicting the burial of
Christ, to the Holy Rosary Parish, a distance of a
few kilometers.
Buan said Bishop
Pablo Virgilio David has
transferred some of the
processions to avoid the
traffic and is requesting
the devotees to put in a
little sacrifice by waking
up early for the 4:30 a.m.
Fiestang Anghel procession.
Buan also said during
the La Naval procession
on October 11, the transfer of the pilgrim image
of the Nuestra Senora
Del Rosario de La Naval
de Angeles to chapels in
the city will be via convoy instead of walking.
Buan said there will
be prayers and novenas
like the triduum for the
feast of angels for three
days, novenario for La
Naval for nine days and
quinario for Apung Mamakalulu for five days.
But more importantly,
Buan said, rector priests
from Marian Shrines in
Luzon like Manaoag,
Baclaran, Antipolo and
La Naval in Manila were
all invited “because we
would like to let everyone know that we also
have a La Naval fiesta
here in Angeles.”
On the cultural and
social component, Angeles City Tourism Office (ACTO) head Dr.
Richard Daenos said
last year’s celebrations
claim to fame was “the
longest and the grandest” with over 70 events
which is going to be surpassed this year with 80
plus events.
Daimos said in all the
events, the community is
involved because that is
the essence of the fiesta.
Beginning at 6:30
p.m. on September 29
(the Feast of the Archangels), the longest fiesta
celebration in the country will begin at this city’s
heritage zone or Plaza
Angel.
With
its
theme
“Bayung Aske, Bayung
Lawe,” (New Image,
New Vision), Fiestang
Kuliat 2015 (FK2015)
is focused on redefining the image of the city,
once considered as the
Sin City of the Philippines.
It is now gaining recognition as one of the
crowning jewels of heritage preservation and
cultural renaissance, not
only in the region, but the
whole country as well.
During a press conference last Wednesday,
FK2015 Executive Committee Chairman, Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan, said he gave his full
authority and support to
ACTO to come up with a
wide array of festivities
that will feature the city’s
culture, tradition, religious devotion and zest
for life and adventure.
“In 2015, we turned
a new leaf for the spiritual, historical, traditional and cultural aspects
of our city. This year’s
Fiestang Kuliat is a celebration of how we have
triumphed in making our
citizens appreciate the
rich and vivid history of
our place,” Pamintuan
said.
The religious activities are centered on the
devotions to Our Lady
of the Most Holy Rosary of La Naval, whose
feast falls every second
Sunday of October; and
Apung Mamacalulu, on
the last Friday of October.
A few years back,
the Holy Rosary Parish
re-established the celebration of the Feast of
the Holy Guardian Angels which is celebrated
on the first week of Octo-
ber. Thus, Angeles City
is known for its monthlong fiesta celebration,
with various socio-civic,
academic, cultural, and
sports events happening
at any-given day of the
whole month of October.
On October 3, the
5th Pulayan - Tagalan
King Dalan will start at
SM City Clark. This funrun activity is a fundraising campaign that would
support projects of the
Angeles City Police Office (ACPO).
The much awaited
Ginoong Angeles 2015
will kick start their pageant on October 3 with
a tree planting activity in
Barangay Sapang Bato
and a heritage tour at
Sto. Rosario.
The candidates then
will have their pre-judging on October 10 at
Century Hotel, followed
by their pre-pageant on
October 24 at SM City
Clark’s Event Center.
The Coronation Night
is set on the 28th at the
Grand Palazzo Royale.
Cultural events are
also expected this year
such as the GraciAngeles by Sinukwan Kapampangan Performing Arts,
which is the newest festival in the city to honor the Los Angeles de
los Custodios; Kundiman ning Angeles by
the Kundiman ning Angeles Foundation; Komi-
syon ng Wikang Filipino Heritage Tour by the
National
Commission
of Culture and the Arts
(NCCA) and the Mamialung Tamu that will showcase Kapampangan versions of traditional Filipino games.
The NCCA has also
chosen Angeles City to
stage Dayaw: The Indigenous Peoples Festival on 15-17 October.
Daenos said 80 percent
of the events will be held
in the city.
A fiesta is no fiesta without the presence
of rich and sumptuous food. Added to this
year’s fiesta celebration
is “Big Bite! Northern
Food Festival Featuring Sisig” which will take
place on October 16 to
18 at the Marquee Mall
parking grounds.
The Nepo Center,
one of the newest destinations for food in the
city, will also hold its own
food fair on October 1 to
4.
Meanwhile, the Kuliat Foundation Inc. will
delight visitors with its
famed fiesta spread
dubbed “Pamangan Fiestang Kapampangan”
at the Museo ning Angeles on October 10.
Alex Cauguiran, Pamintuan’s chief of staff,
said the city is also set to
hold the annual Tigtigan
Terakan keng Dalan at
es less smoke emission
compared with existing
mass transport vehicles,
making it an eco-friendly
mode of transport.
The DOST developed this as an alternative means of public
commute to answer the
mass transportation dilemma in highly urbanized cities.
–CDC CommDep
MacArthur Highway Balibago on October 23-24.
He recalled that in
1992, just after the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo
when there was a pall of
gloom hanging over the
city, he was instructed by
Pamintuan to do something to lift the spirits of
Angelenos and thus, the
annual street dancing
and merriment was born.
Cauguiran said merriment has two main purpose – “to thank the Almighty that we are still
alive and to rally the people not to leave the city
and lift their spirits.”
Local
universities,
colleges and bands will
also go head-to-head
with the Inter-University Music Festival on the
30th, an event akin to
last year’s wildly successful 7107 International Music Festival held at
the Clark Freeport.
This year’s FK2015
also sees the return of
some events such as the
Calesin Tilbury Race on
the 12th at Jake Gonzales Boulevard and the
Angeles 4x4 Off Road
Challenge on October
17 at the Nepo Center.
Daenos said the new
logo for FK2015 was designed by Nicky Reyes
which incorporated the
three religious festivities
as well as the social and
cultural aspect of the
festivities.

Coco is such a gentle husband dito.
“When I was asked to report to Sir Deo (Endrinal)’s place for a look-see, I was just wearing polo and rubber shoes. Dumating din si Coco at nagulat ako. I didn’t
expect him to be there, much less pakunan kami ng iba’t ibang shots. Nakita raw nila ang chemistry namin as a couple.
“I was pressured, pero, very happy sa working process nila. Ibang-iba.
Alam mo agad na napakaganda ng serye. If I were to describe their working process, I can say na more than 100% ang galing. Baka nga, 200%, 500% o 1,000%
pa. I felt na alagang-alaga nila ako, so I wanted to give back all that effort. Ginalingan ko rin.”
Bela also answered the question kung totoong hindi naman siya Padilla.
Ginagamit lang daw niya ang Padilla for screen name.
“That’s true,” sagot niya. “Pero, close ang association namin dahil ang Mom ko at ang Mom ni tito Robin
(Padilla) ay first cousins. Doon ako sa Carino family. But it was tita Eva (Robin’s mom) who told me to use
Padilla para madali akong makilala. Kaya, Bela Padilla ako ngayon.
My father’s family name is Soliven. In real life, Krista Soliven ako,” explain niya.
Bela also told Kris Aquino in an interview, na mayroon siyang picture kasama ang Queen Of All
Media. “I was 2 years old pa lang po noon. Ako po ‘yung karga-karga ni tito Robin.”
Nag-umpisa si Bela sa Star Magic noon bilang Krista Valle (na kinuha sa una niyang manager
na si Jet Valle). Na-link siya noon kay Jason Abalos and for a time naging sila.
“Now that I’m back with ABS, I am super happy po. I can say that I did my job well. At sana
Sharon Cuneta dahil sa sexy pictorial and outfits?
“Wala naman siyang nabanggit, wala naman kaming napag-usapan.
Naririnig ko lang na ’yun nga, mayroong kaunting reaction, pero sabi ko, you
know, she’s an adult, she can do whatever she wants as an adult.
“Noong bata siya, ayun, makikialam talaga ako kung mayroon akong
nakikitang hindi maganda. Pero open ang aking mind sa mga art, figures
and all that,” he said.
nito?
“Well, that’s her choice. Like I’ve said, she’s an adult and it’s an art form,
eh.
ganyan, depende, ’no? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, sabi nga,” he said.
“We cannot always be behind them sa lahat ng mga bagay. Kasi may mga
desisyon na kahit sabihin mong huwag because laban sa paniniwala mo, eh,
’yun ang paniniwala nila, eh,” pahayag pa ni Gabo.
Vice Ganda ayaw pumatol
kahit anong tweets nito.
May nilagay ba akong pangalan.’ It’s not safe to assume,” say ni
Vice.
Coco Martin sa Metro Manila Film Festival na Beauty and The Bestie.
at Ai-Ai delas Alas?
