THE PRIMARY SCHOOL IN IZBENICA ”
has started

Inhabitants of two local communities (Izbenica and Suvaja)
or
6% of the total population of the Municipality of Varvarin

Project objectives
Use of renewable energy sources (heat pump)
Application of a "clean technology" for the heating of a building
(discontinuing the use of solid fossil fuels)
Reduction of CO2 emission
Improved quality of heating in the building (optimum working temperature
and even level of heating of all premises)
Improved conditions of work in the school
Creation of humane conditions for the work of children
Elimination of the fire threat
Reduction of fuel and heating system maintenance costs
Increase of the public awareness about possibilities for reduction of energy
consumption

Advantages of the use of geothermal heat pumps for
heating (cooling)








Highly energy efficient (50%-80% of energy drawn from the soil)
Heating and cooling plant accommodated in the same unit
Low exploitation price of heating (cooling)
Their use saves fossil fuels
Contribute to the preservation of environment because there is a lower CO2
emission
No flame, chimneys, smoke and fire hazard
Selected equipment will enable remote monitoring and control of the
system operation and the possibility of data collection, which again enables
elaboration of different studies
Operational life of all installed equipment is estimated to more than 15
years







The project comprises the following
activities:
- Installation of the heat pump
- Floor heating with the necessary
Thermal insulation and finishing
- Fitting of the thermo-insulating facade
- Replacement of joinery with adequate
PVC joinery
- Thermal insulation of the ceiling
and fitting of lowered ceilings
- New electrical installation
The result:
Building with applied energy efficiency
measures from all aspects.
