Mechanical Hoists
Easy and fast to operate, lightweight for simple handling, but rugged for reliable duty. Compact
and portable, these hoists fit into and operate easily even in close-clearance work spaces. They
quickly and easily perform repeated heavy lifts and pulls. All working parts are fully enclosed in the
housing unit to protect the hoist mechanism and to cover the gearing for worker safety.
• Forged-steel load hooks at both ends swivel 360° for easy
attachment and to help maintain axial alignment in use.

Single Phase Conductor Holder
Single lifting wire holder may be rotated for
alignment with the conductor. Plastic rollers
offer protection to conductors while raising
the conductor above the work area. The
gate is held closed by a spring-loaded latch
which must be manually opened. For this

Gins
Chain Binder Type Transformer Gin
Strap-Type Transformer Gin
A versatile tool for hoisting distribution transformers and
apparatus up the structure. Available with a standard
base or 5” extended base. The standard base unit is for
mounting on clear pole sections and the 5” extended base
model allows mounting to bridge up to 4” x 5” crossarms.
Gins are not intended for applications involving side pull on
the hoist line, or with the lift load in a tagged out position.
Similar to the chain binder type transormer gin, but with a
strap-type ratchet-action mounting mechanism. The 2”-wide
polyester strap comes in 44” length to fit most structures.
The strap also has a 10,000-lb. rated tensile strength. Wide
handle opening on rapid-action ratchet permits easy operation, even with rubber gloves and leather protectors.

Grounding Equipment
Truck Grounding Set
This set provides means to drain off capacitance or static
charges from winch trucks and aerial devices. A flat face
clamp is for secure attachment to the truck bed at an area
cleaned for electrical contact. C-type clamp is for secure
attachment to ground rod. This grounding method should
not be considered adequate protection to personnel against
conductor contact.

Conductor Support Equipment
The Epoxiglas® extension arm is designed for use on
voltages up to and including 15kV where reconduction or
insulator replacement is necessary. The extension arm is
suspended under the crossarm by brackets to enable the
conductor to be removed from the original crossarm and
placed in the wireholder mounted on the Epoxiglas extension arm.
