Their music has defined generation after generation, their backstage antics are legendary and their conflicts are front-page news. Once considered rivals to the Beatles, they have outlasted them by over 40 years. They have no rivals and need no introduction. This is the first definitive film following the band’s career from their early club days to their current endeavours – told through the words of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Ron Wood, Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor against the most extensive archive footage ever compiled. The filmmakers have been granted unprecedented access to the band and their archives, including thousands of hours of never-before-seen film, tens of thousands of photographs, and most importantly the entire Stones recording catalogue all of which will be woven together into a cinematic tapestry like no other. Like a history book come to life, the film embarks upon a journey to experience the adventures, trials and tribulations of the Rolling Stones in a cinematic way and like the band themselves, it will be soulful, raw, audacious, visceral, theatrical and provocative. Brett Morgen – Director and Multi-Award Winner for The Kid Stays In The Picture. 2 x 55’ SD/HD - 110’ Theatrical 2 CatalogueTV_SUP-16p-spring2012_Layout 1 05/03/2012 13:07 Page 3 FREDDIE MERCURY Viva Freddie - The Story Of… A feature length documentary. The film comes from an entirely new angle, with emphasis on Freddie’s sense of humour and his work outside of Queen, when he was able to “spread his wings” and reveal more of himself. This is a celebration of Mercury and his achievements; it deals with the ups and downs, the success and failure in equal measure. Featuring unearthed, unseen interviews with Freddie, he tells his story in his own words together with hundreds of outtakes from Queen and Freddie video rushes, new videos for Barcelona and The Great Pretender, soundchecks, unheard demos and concert footage. 60’/90’ approx.
