A LETTER from the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
One of the greatest things about working
in a children’s museum is the ability
to stretch ones imagination and push
creative boundaries. Often times as
adults we get caught up in the hustle and
bustle of day to day activities and forget
what it’s like to view life through the eyes
of a child, who have some of the most
curious, imaginative and adventurous
minds around us.

Daisy are back to engage children’s
imagination in an enchanting new
exhibit, Fairytale Land! Enjoy a sing-along,
dancing knights and fairytales with a real
live fairytale character! In this wonderful
world where books and stories come to
life, you’ll never know what adventure
you’re in for next! Three different programs
are offered daily with a new fairytale each
week throughout the summer, May 24
through August 9.

beautiful voices and tap your toes to our
newest Sing-a-long program! Get caught
up in a fairytale world where songs are
contagious. (Tuesday through Saturday,
10:30 a.m. & 2 p.m.)
Knight’s Adventure: We call upon the
bravest kids to help our princess who has
been trapped in the castle. Grab your
sword as you learn what it takes to be a true
knight. (Tuesday through Saturday,
11:30 a.m.)
Fairytale Time: Hear the best old fairytales
in a whole new way. Everyone will be
able to participate in the re-telling of
these beloved classics. (Tuesday through
Saturday, 3:30 p.m.)

Make it a summer to remember at Omaha Children’s Museum with an all new to-do
line-up featuring six new exhibits, new programs and a new attraction!
Explore a world of pretend play in the new kid-sized First National Bank branch and
Children’s Hospital & Medical Center. Bring fairytales to life in the new Fairytale Land
exhibit with museum Princesses, rock out on a musical staircase, experience the giant
kid-activated lobby screen and take a ride on our newest attraction, the Dino-Train*,
for a ride in the new summer exhibit, Dinos: The Big Dig!
The new summer lineup combined with daily interactive programming is sure to
spark the imagination and create excitement about learning for memories that last a
lifetime.

For the Kids Benefit
Saturday, May 3, Omaha Children’s Museum hosted its largest annual fundraiser,
For the Kids Benefit. This year’s honorary chairs were Lori and David Scott along
with corporate sponsor Core Bank. The evening was a soaring success raising over

230,000 to support the museum and the growth of our community’s children.

at Worldfest! Omaha Children’s Museum
is excited to partner with Omaha Sister
Cities Association to bring you an entire
day of world travel. Get your passports
ready for jet-setting fun as you experience
the cultures and traditions of six different
countries without leaving Omaha. Make
traditional crafts, taste cultural foods,
participate in games and activities and
enjoy performances in the theater. Be sure
to get your passport stamped as you travel
through each country!

Kick off the first day of summer with our awesome beach party!
Alphabet Adventures – (Tuesdays, 9:30 & 10:30 am) Children will
experience activities, books and songs that incorporate each letter of
the alphabet. A different letter will be introduced each week.
Back to School Bash – (August 9) Summer’s almost over, but there’s
still time for one last party! Join us for our Back-to-School Science
Show, participate in our super crayon meltdown, hear a fun story and
decorate your own back-to-school notebook or bookmark!

parachutes, jump roping, hula hoops, co-op-a-walks, obstacle courses
and more!

and Sunday 2:30 pm) Stop at the Curiosity Corner to explore the day’s
science concepts and see how amazing and fun science can be!
Epic Build Time – (Saturday and Sunday, 3:30 pm) Take part in an
exciting engineering challenge each week in our Creative Arts recycle
art center!

Maker-Space Demo – (Tuesday-Saturday, 1:30 pm) During these
demonstrations learn all about the tools and equipment available for
use in our Maker-Space. From how to safely work a drill press or sewing
machine to exploring the world of 3D printing and soldering. Watch
out for these special and fun demonstrations using real tools!
Mine It – (Tuesday-Saturday, 10:30 am & 1:30 pm, Sunday 2:30 pm
and Thursday Nights at 7 pm) Come and explore our new mining sluice,
Treasure Creek, with Paleo Jo and her fellow miners. Uncover your own
fossils and gemstones and learn about mining and excavating in our
special exhibit!

Spend some time exploring the world of art in our Creative Arts

World Fest – (Saturday, August 2, 10 am-3 pm) Take a trip around
the world this summer at Worldfest! Omaha Children’s Museum
is excited to partner with Omaha Sister Cities Association to bring
you an entire day of world travel. Get your passports ready for
jet-setting fun as you experience the cultures and traditions of six
different countries without leaving Omaha. Make traditional crafts,
taste cultural foods, participate in games and activities and enjoy
performances in the theater. Be sure to get your passport stamped
as you travel through each country!
