Flight Training:
Training Requirements:
1. For basic Zero level students: the training is
done within the scope of general course of the
private pilot training program. The training
flights after the ground classes will be done with
Flight Instructor and then Solo Flight on the
route. The total training flying hours will be 25
hrs.
To be able to obtain a pilot certificate for an ultralight
the student must be-over the age of 18, good health
(i.e. Class II medical), +2 passed or equivalent level
of education and at least operation level (4) of English
Langauge Proficiency Test (ELPT).
Clothing is a consideration worth looking into; our
ultralight has cabin heat though it can still be a tad
chilly on a winter’s morning. Warm clothes, i.e.
fleecy track suit and windproof jacket and
comfortable shoes. Flying suits for pilots are also
available in our club for trainee pilots in reasonable
prices.
2. Conversion courses: The PPL/CPL holder can
easily apply for UPL license from CAAN after
completion of 5 hrs flight training course.
3. Advance Courses: We provide advanced tailor
made courses for Pilots holding UPL license and
wanting to fly at High Altitude. These courses
include flying to/ over the 8000 meters
Mountains in the Annapurna/Dhaulagiri/Manaslu
region. We even do flights to their base camps.
We also specialize in providing various Cross
Country flights (from one airport to another
inside Nepal) as well. This advance level training
can be adjusted as per your time availability.
The company provides a helmet with headsets.
Training Theory
We use the A22 Foxbat (AEROPRAKT) ultralight for
3-axis training. For weight shift training we use
Cruise and Air Borne models, which are known for its
ease of handling and SIMPLICITY. This is the same
way we approach our theory training.
Avia Club will provide all of the theory required to
obtain your pilots certificate and a considerable
amount more to give you the confidence to fly safely.

Training Times
The School operates mainly every day,
depending upon the weather conditions and the
rush of air traffic in Pokhara airport.
Actual course times vary with each student; the
minimum legal requirement is that each student
must complete 25 hours flight tuition of which 15
hours must be solo.
$75 + 13% = $85
$50 + 13% = $56.5
$60
$80 + 13% = $90
It would be unfair to the student to lead them to
believe that everyone may achieve a pilot
certificate in 25 hrs, as this is usually not the
case. 25hrs to 40hrs training is required for most
students to achieve the required proficiency.
Cost of living in Pokhara, Nepal:

2. Hotel Room:
