October’s Member event included the Schlafly Beer and Tapas, which was well attended and thoroughly enjoyed. This months “Dual” newsletter includes information and events for November and December with fun and exciting activities not to be missed. As a reminder, the Saturday Night Lottery will remain without change and will run through April of 2013. Wednesday “Pasta House” moves to Friday nights and Thursday night “Burger Night” moves to Saturday’s in continuing this past season’s weekly traditions. Don’t miss out on our 4th Quarter $300.00 Drawing night at our Family Christmas Dinner event on the 8th of December. Although this tends to be a slower part of the year, please consider your Club the center of your social Holiday calendar. The various upcoming activities include;” DINING IN THE DARK” on November 17th; Thanksgiving “To Go” with Pick up on November 21st; Black Friday Golf Shop SALE on November 23rd; Brunch with Santa on Sunday 2nd December and the Holiday Golf Shop Open House and Family Dinner on December 8th. Men’s attire: Collared shirts, Mock Turtlenecks, Dress or Golf Slacks, Denim Jeans, Bermuda shorts or Business casual attire are permitted. November is upon us and that means getting ready for Thanksgiving. There is so much to prepare and so little time to do it in. Let the Club take the painstaking prep work off your hands by preparing your entire Thanksgiving Meal, packing it up and letting you pick it up the day before and prepare it the day of just like you would have before. Wednesday November 21st Thanksgiving to-go dinners will be available for pick-up. All you need to do to place your order is call, let us know how many you will be serving; your choice between Apple Pie, Pumpkin Pie or both and we’ll take care of the rest. Orders will be taken until Thursday, November 17th. Please be sure to schedule your pick up time. The Swing Institute will be up and running the week of November 11 and will offer a great opportunity to keep your game sharp for the spring. Offering digital video swing analysis, custom golf club fitting and set composition fitting, short game practice, physical fitness evaluation, and launch monitor readings, the Swing Institute has what you need. Call the golf shop for more information on creating your own custom Swing Institute experience. The Swing Institute also has two hitting stalls and a practice putting green to help finetune your game throughout the winter. Santa’s Brunch Sunday, December 2nd 10:30 am – 2:00 pm Santa Claus is coming to the Club! We have been working hard in preparing for Santa to come and visit the Club again this year with a Festive Holiday Buffet prepared by Chef Scott and his culinary team. Feature items include Cinnamon Crepes stuffed with Roasted Apples; Cold Smoked Salmon with Tomato Butter; Prime Rib Carving Station; Chicken Saltimbocca along with Traditional Breakfast Items and Omelets made-to-order. Brunch reservations need to be made in advance in order for your child to receive their special gift from Santa. It is rumored that Santa will arrive around noon! Black Friday Sale Friday, November 23rd we will be having a “Black Friday” sale in the pro shop with items discounted anywhere from 15% to 50%. This will be a great time to take advantage of our pre-open house specials. Guest Day Tuesday, November 6th Green Fees will be $50 plus tax per player plus cart fees. Family Christmas Dinner The Club would like to invite all of its members to our annual Family Christmas Dinner. Families small or large or just a nice dinner for couples, everyone is welcome. The “Lake Notes” will be performing again this year and Santa is rumored to pay us another visit. Chef will be preparing a meal fit for such a momentous occasion. Let us share the spirit of Christmas with you again this year. Featuring a “Bloody Mary Bar” with more than a dozen of your favorite recipes. Beginning Sunday, November 4th the golf shop will begin winter hours of operation. We will be open from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. Chef Scott’s Delights Winter Golf Course Dress Code: Fresh Fruits and Salads; Marinated Grilled Vegetables, Cheeses and French Breads; Slow Roasted Breast of Turkey with Cornbread Stuffing; Prime Rib; Mustard Crusted Pork Steamship and Chef’s Assorted Sweets. Similar to the dinning room, the golf course will now allow denim jeans to be worn on the golf course from November 1st thru March 31st. Acid wash jeans and jeans with holes in them will not be allowed. Reminder All Guest Passes that were purchased at the beginning of the year will expire on December 31st 2012.
