It’s great to see the member support. We even had a Friday where people were waiting to get a table. The only problem we have had is that some of the features have sold out. We try to prepare enough features to last through the weekend yet not have a lot left over that will go to waste. Features allow us to offer a different variety of food every week. It is sometimes hard to plan how many to prepare as many members do not make a reservation. We will continue to offer dining Wednesday through Saturday until the end of November. We also have some available times in December for Holiday parties. Get your group or business together and plan a special evening at Crestwicke. We will be having an Advisory Committee meeting on October 10th. The main topic of discussion will be the new membership promotion and the dues structure for the membership. We are looking at making a special offer to prospective members that join before the end of 2012. We are also looking at keeping the dues the same for the current members who have supported us through the closing of the course. We will communicate the complete program sometime around the middle of October. The Social Committee will be meeting on October 23rd. We are putting together a survey to help make plans for 2013. We have realized the need to have more family and children events and will be looking to put together a separate committee for this purpose. We will also be looking at a possible event for the holiday season. The committees have taken a lot of their personal time to volunteer to help make Crestwicke a better club. Without question they have been very successful this year. Mark and I are very appreciative of their efforts and look forward to 2013 being an even better year. The fee, approved by the Advisory and Golf Committees, was designed to be billed over 12 months although the tournament schedule is completed in the summer. A total of $12,195 was paid out to Men’s and Ladies events and trophies. The monthly billing brings in about $1200 per month. Any extra money after the 12 month period will be used to cover entertainment at social events. There has been very little opposition to the fee. It did accomplish what it was set up to do - increase participation in events. We will be doing a survey of the membership this fall and this fee will be one of the items covered. After that survey we will determine whether of not to continue it in 2013.
