The winner for the weekend of April 5th was Rena
Rousseau! She received $46 and the church received $68.
For the weekend of April 11th the winner was Romie
Vaillancourt! He received $42 and the church received
$62.00. Thank you to those who participate each week. This is
a great little fundraiser for our parish. There are envelopes at
each entrance to the church. Pick up an envelope or two and
take a chance. The winner receives 40% of the amount
collected and the parish receives 60%.

Galatians Study Group
You are invited to join a new study taking place on
Tuesdays at 7pm from April 21st through May 19th. In this
6-lesson in-depth study of Galatians, you will engage with
the question, “How do I stand blameless and guiltless
before a holy God? Is it by faith or by obeying the rules or
both?” You will learn how to be truly free and walk in the
blessings of God’s promises. Cost to join this study is $10.
United Hearts Prayer Group
The United Hearts Prayer Group will be meeting on
Sunday, April 19th at 12:30pm in the Church Hall. All are
welcome!
Faith Formation News
Register Early for Fall of 2015 & SAVE
Exciting changes are coming to our Faith Formation
Program next year! In preparation for these changes, we
are currently offering Early Registration at a significant
discount. This helps you save money while helping us as
we begin to organize classes and plan ahead. Fall comes
fast!
Next year’s classes for 1st- 5th grades will take place on
Mondays and Tuesdays from 5:45p.m.to 7:00p.m.
Classes will begin the week of September 21st. Children
will attend only one day a week depending on their grade
and level of sacramental preparation. Early Registration
will be available to all parents who register their children
by June 1st. The fee is reduced to $20.00 per child during
this time ($25.00 per Edge/Lifeteen student).
Registration forms are now available in the Faith
Formation office at Milette Manor (during class time) or at
the rectory office during business hours. Please direct any

Welcome Elia!
Elia Lerma joined our office staff in March to work as
Faith Formation Coordinator and help us to make many of
the exciting changes and improvements to our Faith
Formation program go from a “good idea” to a new reality
next fall. You may have already met her on Thursday
evenings. If not, she will be at Milette Manor to help as
well with the First Communion Sacramental Preparation
that will be taking place in May. In just a few short weeks
she has jumped right into our busy office environment and
brings enthusiasm and energy to her work. We are excited
to have her on board and working in this important parish
endeavor: helping our young people learn and grow in
their faith. Welcome Elia!

Jornada Mundial de Oración por las
Vocaciones
El día Mundial de la Oración, también conocido como
"Domingo del Buen Pastor,” se observará el domingo 26 de
abril. El objetivo de este día es cumplir públicamente la
instrucción del Señor a "Orar al Señor de la mies que envíe
obreros a su mies" (Mt 09:38; Lc 10, 2).
Por favor, oren para que los hombres y mujeres jóvenes
escuchen y respondan con generosidad al llamado del Señor al
sacerdocio, al diaconado, la vida religiosa, las sociedades de vida
apostólica o institutos seculares. Usted puede encontrar

El Movimiento Familiar Cristiano es una agrupación de
familias cristianas que unen sus esfuerzos para promover los

¡Bienvenida Elia!
Elia Lerma se unió a nuestro personal de la oficina en marzo
para trabajar como Coordinadora de la Formación Religiosa
de la parroquia y ayudarnos a realizar los cambios y mejoras a
nuestro programa de catecismo. Con su ayuda queremos
hacer realidad la idea de convertir nuestro programa de
catecismo en una formación constante de fe en la vida de los
niños (as). Es posible que algunos de ustedes ya la conozcan;
Elia a visitado los salones de catecismo los jueves por la
noche.
Si no la han conocido, ella estará en el Milette Manor para
ayudar también con la Preparación de la Primera Comunión
que tendrá lugar en mayo. En tan sólo unas pocas semanas
ella se ha involucrado activamente en los proyectos de la
parroquia. Elia trae entusiasmo y energía a su trabajo. Estamos
muy contentos de tener a Elia sirviendo a la comunidad
parroquial en una importante tarea como lo es el ayudar a
nuestros niños y jóvenes a aprender y crecer en su fe.

El primer viernes de cada mes, tenemos visitas domiciliarias

que esté enfermo(a), si alguien está en un asilo o conoce a

El pasaje del Evangelio de este domingo da continuación al de los
discípulos de Emaús, y tiene una frase de mucha importancia: "Les
abrió el entendimiento para que comprendieran las Escrituras". Es
importante tener esto en mente, nosotros, y aquellas personas que se
sienten iluminadas y creen entender las Escrituras de modo personal.
Hoy Jesús nos afirma que no podemos comprender las Escrituras si
el Señor resucitado no nos da una apertura de mente y corazón. Y
les dijo: "Esta escrito que el Mesías tenía que padecer y había de
resucitar de entre los muertos al tercer día". Les abrió, pues, los ojos
a los discípulos de Emaús. Para nosotros esto debe de significar un
compromiso de leerlas con ojos nuevos. ¿Comprendemos esto?
Jesús nos enseña a mirar, nos ayuda a hacer caso de su palabra y
nos invita a amar a Dios. O sea, nos guía a hacer camino con él, ser
discípulos del Resucitado y compartir la mesa de la Eucaristía. El
Señor Jesús da luz nueva a nuestros corazones y nos abre
perspectivas sobre la realidad que vivimos, especialmente sobre
personas y acontecimientos concretos. Las tres lecturas nos invitan a
la conversión y al perdón. Dios nos mueve a esto, pues perdona
nuestros pecados mediante la muerte y resurrección de su Hijo, sin
olvidar que la resurrección de Cristo se experimenta por medio de la
fe. Nuestra búsqueda, de tal manera, se debe enfocar en la
experiencia: es así que nuestra fe se desarrollará. Por esa razón es
importante seguir compartiendo nuestra fe con los recién bautizados.
Pidámonosle al Señor en esta Eucaristía lo siguiente: ¡Señor,
ábrenos el entendimiento ante cada acontecimiento que nos suceda!
Clases Adicionales para la Preparación de la
Primera Comunión
Estamos añadiendo dos clases para la preparación de la Primera
Comunión el 7 y 14 de mayo de 2015 (jueves) de 5:30pm-6:45pm
en el Milette Manor una vez que termine el programa regular de
Formación de Fe.
En nuestra reunión de padres en el otoño, hicimos hincapié en que
para que los sacramentos de Primera Reconciliación y Primera
Comunión, los estudiantes deben asistir a todas las clases de
preparación sacramental los sábados. Desafortunadamente, muchos
estudiantes han perdido una o más de estas clases los sábados. En un
esfuerzo por brindar la instrucción necesaria, y para que éstos estos
estudiantes puedan hacer estos sacramentos este año, estamos
agregando estas dos sesiones. Si su hijo ha perdido una o más clases
de los sábados, él / ella debe estar presente el 7 y 14 de mayo, de
lo contrario no podrá recibir el sacramento este año. Si su hijo
asistió a todas las sesiones los sábados no tiene que venir a estas dos
clases adicionales.
Por último, todos los niños deben asistir a la jornada de la Primera
Reconciliación, que se llevará a cabo el jueves, 28 de mayo de
5:30pm-8pm. En este día, los estudiantes irán a la iglesia para la
Primera Reconciliación y también tendrán un ensayo para que
puedan saber lo que van a hacer en el día de la Primera Comunión.

Bautismos
Las Charlas Pre-bautismales serán todos los 3er sábados de
cada mes a la 1pm en Milette Manor. Los papas y padrinos
deben asistir. Los bautizos en español son el 2do y 4to
domingo del mes a las 12:30pm. Para más información

Enfermera para la Salud del Centro
Parroquial
Eventos son patrocinados por el hospital St. Joseph que se
llevan a cabo en el Milette Manor:
Medición de la presión arterial gratis / Consejería de
salud. Todos los miércoles y viernes de 9am-12pm.
Las enfermeras parroquiales están aquí para promover el
bienestar, la salud, la curación y la integridad del cuerpo,
mente y espíritu.
Grupo de Oración Corazones Unidos
La próxima reunion del grupo de oración carismático será
el próximo domingo, 19 de abril a las de 12:30pm en la
iglesia de San Luis. Todos están invitados.
Noticias del Programa de Formación de
Fe ¡Inscríbase Hoy y Ahorre!
¡El próximo año habrán cambios emocionantes en nuestro
programa de Formación de Fe! En preparación para estos
cambios, estamos ofreciendo un periodo de inscripción
anticipado en el cual se ofrecerá un descuento a todos
aquellos que inscriban a sus hijos durante éste periodo. Esto
les ayudará a ahorrar dinero mientras que nosotros
podremos comenzar a organizar las clases para el próximo
año con anticipación.
Las clases para los niños en grados 1-5 serán los lunes y
martes de 5:45pm a 7pm, empezando la semana del 12 de
septiembre. Los niños solo van a asistir un día a la semana y
ese día depende de su grado escolar y nivel de preparación
para los sacramentos. Este período de inscripción
anticipada empieza hoy y continuará hasta el 1ro de junio.
Los padres que inscriban a sus hijos en o antes del 1ro de
junio tendrán un descuento en el costo de la matrícula. La
matrícula será reducida a $20 por alumno ($25 por alumno
en EDGE y Lifeteen). Las formas necesarias de inscripción
están disponibles en la oficina de Formación de Fe en
