Along the 3250 miles of the legendary Route 66 were thousands of business
sustaining the American traveler. Depicted in this painting by noted automotive

icons along the Las Vegas Boulevard in 1972. Some of the best Mopar Muscle
will cruise the strip this night.
“Mopar Strip” is reproduced from the original painting in an edition of 950 prints.

MUSCLECAR ENTHUSIAST PRINT
Noted automotive artist David Snyder created this beautiful poster from the cover
art of the October 2005 Musclecar Enthusiast. Snyder’s cover features a classic
cruise night scene at the local garage where all the fast cars would hang out. The
cars shown are those he would like to have in his own garage, not necessarily
those on the list of ‘top 10 musclecars of all-time.’
Musclecar Enthusiast, is a limited edition of only 950 prints. Each print measures
17.5” x 26”, and is printed on high quality acid free paper trimmed to 22” x 28”.
All prints are inspected, signed and numbered by the artist.

NOW PLAYING
Artist Dave Snyder and his wife, Marion, discovered the Silver Moon Drive-In on a
recent visit to Musclecar Enthusiast Magazine in Lakeland, Florida. It was less than
a half-mile east of the Amos Automotive Publishing offices on US 92. For the next
three days, they talked about this great icon of the past. They visited Corvettes and
Classics in Tarpon Springs, a great museum of muscle cars and memorabilia. Mike
Morehead, their tour guide and long-time collector of Snyders prints, suggested
a piece based on the movie Bullitt. Now Playing is the result of that suggestion.
Shown in the painting are 14 cars from 10 different films in which the car was the
star player. Can you name the films?
Now Playing is a limited edition of only 950 prints plus 95 artist proofs. Each print
measures 16” x 34”, and is printed on high quality acid free paper trimmed to 22”
x 36”. All prints are inspected, signed and numbered by the artist.

FISH FOOD
Plymouth beat Ford in the Pony Car war by two weeks. The Barracuda was unveiled
on April 1, 1964. There were three generations of the Barracuda. The first generation
included the 1965 model through the end of the 1966 model year. It shared the
A-body platform with its first cousin, the Valiant. The second generation ran from
1967 through 1969. The Barracuda was still build on the A-body platform, but
received increasingly higher horsepower and engine displacements. In 1968 several
Hemi Barracuda Super Stocks were made. The best came in 1970. The “Cuda” was
born - the 1970 and ‘71 Hemi Cuda, the best of the best. Automotive artist Dave
Snyder pays tribute to these great MOPARS with his newest work.
Fish Food, is a limited edition of only 950 prints plus 95 artist proofs. Each print
measures 18” x 26”, and is printed on high quality acid free paper trimmed to 22”

MOTORAMA 1953
It is the night before the opening of Motorama 1953, and Harley Earl is having is

Pontiac Parisienne and the Buick Wildcat. The automotive gala was peppered
with dream cars, entertainment, high fashion and lavis decor. The big news of the
1953 Motorama was the introduction of the production cars. The Corvette, Buick
Skylark, Oldsmobile Fiesta and Cadillac Eldorado all made their debut at the show.
Motorama 1953, is a limited edition of only 950 prints plus 95 artist proofs. Each
print measures 17.5” x 34”, and is printed on high quality acid free paper trimmed

CHEVY V-8 ENGINE BOOK/CASTING NUMBERS
This book serves two basic identification needs. The first
is that of the typical collector who is trying to identify a
Chevy V-8 component which may be in a salvage yard or
swap meet. This book will help identify what kind of vehicle
the component was originally installed on. The second
need helps determine if it is the correct part. To identify a
component, simply find the cast or stamped-in identification
number, turn to the appropriate section in the book and look it up. There are
casting numbers for big and small engine blocks, crankshaft, big and small
cylinder heads, exhaust manifolds, intake manifolds, Carter Carburetor, Holley
Carburetor, Rochester Carburetor, fuel pump, water pump, generator/alternator,
starter, distributor and EGR valve.

THE COBRA IN THE BARN
Everyone likes finding buried treasure, and automobile
enthusiasts have made their share of “finds.” Author Tom
Cotter details many of these treasure stories in Cobra in the
Barn: Great Stoires of Automotive Archaeology. Chapter One
begins with the story of Cobra CSX2022, which was, truely,
found in a barn. He goes on to describe other rare, often
unique, vehicles found behind barns, in garages, bedrooms
and farm fields. The hunt for, discovery and restoration of
Ferraris, Fords, Packards, Cobras and other historic vehicles
are stories everyone will enjoy reading.

CATALOGUE OF CANADIAN CAR I.D. NUMBERS
Author Bill Watson spent the last 20 years searching for,
and consolidating, the information contained in this massive
Catalogue of Canadian Car I.D. Numbers. To ensure accuracy,
the data presented in the book’s 856 pages was gleaned
from original sources and not compiled from any secondary
publications. For anyone interested in Canadian-produced or
Canadian-sold vehicles, this book is THE essential reference
work. Watson provides a brief history of each Canadian manufacturer; guides
to deciphering VIN tags; vehicles identified by model year, model number, series
name, sub-series name and body style; assembly plant information; VIN and
engine numbers; locations of engine and serial numbers; weights and prices of
the vehicles; and paint codes and colors. [softcover, 856 pages].

FLAMES, SCALLOPS, PANELING & STRIPING BY GEORGE BARRIS
Welcome to Barris Custom Techniques, Volume 4, the fourth in this series of books
which utilize photographs from George Barris’ extensive personal archives to take
a behind-the-scenes look at how they built those fabulous
classic customs of the 1950’s.
This book is intended purely as a nostalgic pictorial
retrospective of how they “built’em back then” and
not as a practical how-to-guide for builders of today’s
customs.
Besides featuring plenty of rarely seen and significant
customs, this book contains several step-by-step paint jobs
showcasing the work of Dean Jeffries, who rented space at
the Barris shop.
Very little of the material contained herein has been
seen for forty years, and some of it has never been
previously published. Where possible, they have made new prints from the original
negatives. Also, where possible, they have tried to use shots of angles which have
never been published before.
Any way you look at it…if you like custom cars of the 40’s & 50’s, you’ll love this
book.

CHEVY SMALL-BLOCK V-8: 50 YEARS OF HIGH PERFORMANCE
Fifty years ago, Chevrolet introduced a new small-block
V-8 engine with a notably short stroke and an innovative
lightweight valvetrain. Dubbed “The Hot One,” the engine
was easily the highest revving V-8 then in production.
Now in its fourth generation and quickly approaching the
90-million-in-production mark, the Chevy Small-Block
V-8 still alive and kicking. Noted automotive writer Mike
Mueller celebrates the golden anniversary of the SmallBlock in this beautifully written and superbly illustrated
coffee-table book. He covers it all - how the engine that was easy on the wallet,
equally easy to tweak and full of power potential found its way into everything
from family sedans and pickups, to hot rods, motorboats and motorcycles. the
book is filled with period and modern photography, nuts-and-bolts specifications of
featured small-block V-8s and sidebars highlighting the key engineers, legendary
cars and the pop culture status the engine holds. [hardcover, 256 pages, 250 color,

and Passion Ruled Detroit. Wangers drew on his 45-year
career in Detroit as he wrote about successful brand
marketing for automobiles. He told how he created and
defined the American musclecar image, devised savvy
brand marketing strategies to promote the car that
started it all and became a cultural icon - the Pontiac
GTO. The book was a winner, receiving the 1998 MOTO
Gold Award for Autobiographical Writing presented by
the International Automotive Media Conference.
