Samuel Newsletter 2013
01/13 − 01/13 14/02/2013 − Page 1 – 14/02/2013 Dear Friends of the Samuel Foundation! Again in 2012, we have successfully implemented our technical training programme, helping all in all 290 students to earn a vocational qualification: 99 of them in Costa Rica, 110 in Nicaragua, 74 in India and 7 in Thailand. On an average, these are 90 % of those students who had started their training in one of our training centres 15 or 19 months ago. About 82 % of our graduates of 2012 had obtained a permanent employment by the end of January 2013, despite the fact that at the moment the labour markets especially in Central America are significantly more restrained as in the previous years. By the way, of all of our graduates of 2011 we were able to place a total of 96 % into permanent jobs within 6 months after graduation. Such positive results are only possible with the help of a close network of local partners, especially companies. This is why I would like to thank all of our partners for their commitment. To all readers of the Samuel newsletter, I hope you will enjoy our choice of impressive pictures of our graduation ceremonies of 2012. More pictures you will find in the gallery at our web page www.samuel.de.
