Position Announcement
The City of Morgan’s Point Resort is currently accepting applications for the following
positions. A full job description is available on the City website or may be picked up at
City Hall.
Marina: Seasonal, part-time
• This position provides support to the Marina Manager and overall Marina operations
in the Manager’s absence. The position is part time (less than 32 hours per week) with
most hours occurring during the warm weather months.
• Salary range: $10-14 per hour. No benefits.
Police Department: Patrolman I
• The purpose of this position is to enforce state and municipal laws in order to ensure
the safety of the City’s citizens. This is accomplished by investigating criminal offenses;
providing community outreach; preparing and presenting criminal cases; assisting with
accidents; performing dispatching duties, and responding to calls for service. Other
duties include participating in specialized investigations; and completing other duties
as assigned.
• Works under close supervision during the probationary period which includes an
intensive field training program. Must be willing to work shifts as assigned including
nights, weekends and holidays, with days and hours that are subject to change.
• Annual salary range: $26,987-$44,114.
Maintenance: Equipment Operator I
• Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in the operation of light, medium,
and some heavy equipment and light to heavy duty trucks. Performs a variety of semiskilled and skilled duties related to construction and maintenance of city roads and other
city facilities
• Annual salary range: $26,572-$33,215.

Bids must be received no later than 9:00 am on Thursday, March 17th,
2016, and bids will be opened at that time. The City reserves the right to
reject any and all sealed bids for any reason. If the bids are rejected by the
City, the City has the option to sell the surplus property at an auction or
private sale.
Police Department: Patrolman I
• The purpose of this position is to enforce state and municipal laws in order to ensure
the safety of the City’s citizens. This is accomplished by investigating criminal offenses;
providing community outreach; preparing and presenting criminal cases; assisting with
accidents; performing dispatching duties, and responding to calls for service. Other
duties include participating in specialized investigations; and completing other duties
as assigned.
• Works under close supervision during the probationary period which includes an
intensive field training program. Must be willing to work shifts as assigned including
nights, weekends and holidays, with days and hours that are subject to change.
• Annual salary range: $26,987-$44,114.
Maintenance: Equipment Operator I
• Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in the operation of light, medium,
and some heavy equipment and light to heavy duty trucks. Performs a variety of semiskilled and skilled duties related to construction and maintenance of city roads and other
city facilities
• Annual salary range: $26,572-$33,215.
Excellent fringe benefits; excellent pay plan; and progressive seniority pay increases.
