t Bishop Bloomer welcomed two important artists
to Rejoice in the Word; Marvin Winans Jr. (“Phase
2”), third generation of the Winans family recording
artists, and gospel singer, composer, producer and
nine-time Grammy Award winner, Andraé Crouch.
Crouch has been called “The Godfather of Gospel”,
and is known for numerous classics like; “Soon and
Very Soon”, “Jesus is the Answer” and “Through It All”.

s The Lexi Show welcomed actress Lynn Whitfield
(“Madea’s Family Reunion”) and Clifton Powell
(“Woman Thou Art Loosed”). Ms. Whitfield
was given a tour of the network and visited with

Engineering for The Word
Network and WADL since 2011.
With over 30 years of experience
and credentials, Pat is a holder
of multiple licenses as a Certified
Specialist, Technologist, Engineer
and Operator. His previous years
as a broadcast engineer include
supervising the installation of two
studios and the training of local
engineers in Baghdad, Iraq, while
serving as a Sergeant in the United
States Marine Corps.
Kim Culhan — Director of
Studio Engineering at The Word
Network and heading the efforts
in upgrading the Word Network
Master Control and Production
Studio facilities. Kim worked for
WDIV, the NBC station in Detroit
and served as News Technical
Supervisor working with the
helicopters, weather graphics, radar,
microwave and satellite systems.
He also served as the chief engineer
for WOMC and WABX in Detroit
for 10 years, has an FCC General
Commercial License and attended
Ohio State University.

ideo Engineers Patrick Mahon
and Kim Culhan have been busy
updating equipment at The Word Network.
The network will replace cameras and production
control with new state-of-the-art equipment, upgrade
the master control operations from an analog to
a digital facility, upgrade the internet bandwidth,
transmit programming and replace components with
equipment that will insure flawless transmission for
years to come. My goal is to constantly update our
network from North America to South Africa, so that
our ministries are preaching, teaching, and reaching
nations around the world. I want to reach beyond
the conventional methods used by taking advantage
of additional 24 hour streaming using IPTV outlets
like Roku, LIVE Web-streaming, iOS, Android,
and Windows Apps, as well as making all original
programming available ‘On Demand’, through all of
the above outlets.
