MHS Has Great Performance
at Xtreme Challenge
On Wednesday, March 30, MHS FBLA and Skills USA took 60
participants to Seward County Community College to participate
in the Xtreme Challenge. All of the participants did well and we
had several prize winners in the categories.

Meade Elementary and Jr. High will have a Grandparent's Tea
on Friday May 6 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. There will be a
schoolwide program, visiting in the classrooms with grandchildren,
and a snack. There will be photo opportunities, so bring a
camera! Thank you!
Forensic Members Qualify for State
Forensics nears the final meets and the team has qualified
three for State Champs in Wichita on April 30: JC Deason, Breanna
Ross and Riley Saucedo. Hopefully with the two remaining meets
in the regular season we will have a few more join the state train.
We have had plenty third and fourth place medals, but only first and
second go to state champs.
With our numbers finally totaled we had a strong 17 member
team, but many were first timers to forensics. We had 2-four year
members, 4- three year members and 11-first timers. The team will
say goodbye to seven of these members in May at graduation, but
we look forward to the returning and potential new members in
2016-2017. Thanks for all the support.

The 1st - 3rd grade students will present the musical “E-I-E-I Oops!”
on April 18 at 7:00 p.m. at the grade school auditorium. We're going
to take a trip to see Farmer MacDonald! The whole barnyard is
singin’... rooster’s singin’ tenor, the mule chimes in on bass, the
chicks are pretty good altos, and the sheep are all over the place!
But wait! Something's wrong with the cow... she just can't moo!
Come join the fun as the animals all do their part to save the day!

7th Graders Learn About Horses
As an introductory activity for our next novel, War Horse, the 7th graders
had an opportunity to learn about horses with Cheyenne Loewen.
Cheyenne brought her horse, Platinum, and her mini-pony, Chance, to
meet the students. Cheyenne has grown up with horses and had a
tremendous amount of experience and information to share with the
students. Students will appreciate this experience as they relate it to the
novel about a horse and his owners’ experiences throughout World War I.
A huge thank you to Cheyenne and her grandfather, Stan Loewen, for
bringing their horses out and taking time to share with us!
