OktoberLICIOUS brings the Spirit of Gemuetlichkeit to your restaurant and provides a great opportunity to explore
the outstanding cuisine in Waterloo Region, all during Canada’s Greatest Bavarian Festival! The goal of this
program is to drive festival patrons to your location for an Oktoberfest experience during the busy festival time.
OktoberLICIOUS is a prix fixe / specialty menu program (with optional beer and wine pairings) offering exceptional
value with a Bavarian-twist! Participating restaurants will benefit from a PROMOTIONAL PACKAGE WORTH OVER
$50,000 as part of Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest 2016!
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOUR RESTAURANT?
• A dedicated page on the OktoberLICIOUS website to feature your location and highlight your OktoberLICIOUS menu,
including photos, links to your website and links to reserve a table
• The benefit of a dedicated promotional campaign to support OktoberLICIOUS valued at over $50,000, including:
- A radio campaign on 91.5 The Beat and DAVE FM
- A print advertising campaign in the Waterloo Region Record
- Advertising in the annual Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest FestGuide (80,000 copies)
- Web banner advertising, email marketing and social media contesting
• Point of Sale materials to help promote your OktoberLICIOUS feature menu at your location

HOW DO YOU PARTICIPATE?
Restaurants wanting to participate in OktoberLICIOUS just have to follow these easy steps!
1. Submit your OktoberLICIOUS Entry Form detailing your feature menu and entry fee of $250 (+HST) to [email protected]
2. Send in photo, Chef Bio and photos and any other info for your page on the OktoberLICIOUS website
3. Create an Oktoberfest-Inspired Feature Menu! This can either be:
- A three-course prix fixe menu with great value, where at least two items have an oktoberfest-twist
- A specialty item featured for the duration of the program.
- Send your menu details to [email protected] no later than September 1st
4. Decide which delicious beer or wine would pair best with your feature menu (see list of accredited products)
Need help? Our partners can assist with the pairing! A complete list of eligible products are listed in this package
5. Promote your OktoberLICIOUS menu by posting the promotional materials delivered right to your doorstep
6. Make sure all your staff are aware of the OktoberLICIOUS feature menu and are telling your customers!
8. Ask us how you can enhance the experience with live oktoberfest entertainment, souvenirs or signage!

Must be an existing, full-service restaurant located in Kitchener, Waterloo or Cambridge
Must be in operation for the entire duration of the program (Sept. 24 - Oct. 16)
Must be in good standing with the Waterloo Region Board of Health
Must demonstrate an appropriate savings to the customer and minimum two
oktoberfest-inspired items on a three-course prix fixe menu.
• Alcohol pairings are not required, but any pairings must be with accredited oktoberfest
products to be used in OktoberLICIOUS menus (See list below)
• Restaurants with multiple locations operating under the same name and menu can
apply with one application
