Congratulations all the Australian Athletes who qualified for the 2016
FISAF Australia National Championships. We look forward to seeing all
the coaches, spectators and athletes for another eventful National
Championships.

TRANSPORT:
Bus
Translink operate a number of services travelling to Sleeman Sports Complex from various locations
around Brisbane. Please visit the Translink website or contact Translink on 13 12 30 for up-to-date
transport information.
The Connex Bus Line services the Sleeman Sports Complex on a daily basis. For further information

Car
Sleeman Sports Complex is located on the corner of Old Cleveland and Tilley Roads. Parking is
available for venue patrons. Please visit the location map for further information.
FOOD & DRINKS:
There is a kiosk located in the foyer of the theatre, which will be open for the majority of event hours.
There is also a café & kiosk located in the aquatic centre. Although food & drinks are not allowed in the
theatre itself, you are allowed to bring you own food and drinks to the venue.
MERCHANDISE:
NEW Official FISAF Nationals merchandise will be available throughout the event. This will be available
in the Foyer for purchase. Merchandise often sells out so don’t miss out & get in early!

2016 NATIONALS DVD:
The 2016 FISAF Australia National Championships DVD will be filmed by Events HD.
Events HD is a video production company that has been creating imaginative and professional Videos/DVDs for
the past 10 years. Their main focus has always been filming weddings but thanks to growing interest, they have
widened their field of specialization and now are experienced in Streaming / Live Productions/ Filming of Dance
and Cheer.
But words are merely words. You can see the quality of their recordings and supplier feedback available on their
website www.EventsHD.com.au or www.rpbproductions.com . Let their work speak for itself.

PHOTOGRAPHS:
WinkiPoP will be taking photos throughout the 2016 FISAF Nationals Event. WinkiPoP Media considers
itself specialists in junior sports photography. For over 10 years they’ve been capturing great images of
fast action sports and artistic sports.
Photographs will be available to purchase through their website shortly after the Nationals Event.

PHOTO/VIDEO POLICY:
We ask that due to legal reasons, all videos/photos are taken from the designated video/photo area inside
the venue. If you are not recording any videos or taking any photos we ask that you return to your
seats. There will be a signage at the venue especially designed for athletes/coaches/parents to take
photographs/videos.

PROGRAMS:
Please see attached program. Please be advised that the program will most defiantly change between
now and the event day due to pull outs and potential double ups. Inspire Events Australia Staff will do
their best to keep the event running to schedule but due to unforeseen circumstances events often can
run ahead or behind schedule.
Programs will be available for purchase on the day. Programs will also be available to download on our
website.
SPECTATOR TICKETS:
Tickets can be purchased on the event days in the main foyer. Pre-sale Tickets will not be sold.
Eftpos and Cash facilities are available.
Please note: Your Wristband MUST remain on your arm throughout the duration of the event.

SOCIAL MEDIA:
Similar to all State Events we encourage all athletes and parents to jump on board and like both our
FISAF Australia Facebook page and Instagram page. At Nationals, we encourage all athletes to post
photos to both social media pages using #FISAFNATIONALS16.

WARM UP AREAS & DRESSING ROOMS:
Dressing Rooms and warm up areas are located at back of house in the Badminton Courts, however we ask
that these only be used by competitors and coaches only. Where possible it is recommended that your
athletes come with hair & make up done, as dressing room space can be limited at times, especially when
large teams are practising and warming up.
Please note: Only teachers, coaches and competitors will be permitted within this area. Parents may not
enter this area at any time. Loud and disruptive behaviour backstage will not be tolerated, and all dressing
rooms should be kept in a tidy manner. We request that each team keeps a close eye on the program and
ensures they are back stage, ready to perform at least 5 performance items prior to theirs.
CLUB SPIRIT AWARD:
We have been keeping a running tally of club spirit points this year! Clubs have received points by having,
great sportsman ship at competitions, providing volunteers for events and more! This will be awarded on
Sunday 31st July, during the Presentations.
WORLDS INFORMATION MEETING:
The 2016 Australian ‘World’s’ Team will be announced during Presentations on Sunday 31st July.
A World’s information meeting may take place during the duration of National Championships, Date and
Time TBC.
ATHLETE REGISTRATION:
Club coaches need to collect their clubs registration pack from the ‘Athlete Registration’ desk. This pack
contains all of your passes for all athletes for the 3 days of the event. Please have your athlete/coach
wristband attached to your wrist for the duration of the event; there is only 1 pass per athlete.
PRESENTATIONS & MARSHALLING:
Prior to each presentation we ask all athletes start Marshalling backstage in their club or school groups.
Each Club/School will be introduced on stage one at a time, gaining acknowledgement from all spectators
as well the moment being captured by our Film crew. Club Banners, Posters and Mascots are welcome.

Brisbane Aquatic Centre is the premier aquatic facility in Queensland boasting
23 50m lanes, dive pool, heated community pool, learn to swim, recreational
classes, childcare and fitness facilities .
Brisbane Aquatic Centre supports the “Keep Watch at Public Pools” program
and it is a ‘Condition of Entry’ that the Brisbane Aquatic Centre comply with the
“Keep Watch Program” . Specifically:
• 0-5 year olds – A parent or guardian is required to be in the water at all
times . The child is to remain within arm’s reach of the parent/guardian .
Parents and guardians are expected to pay the appropriate admission fee
for access to the water .
• 6-10 year olds – A parent should be close enough to make eye contact with
the child and the child is to remain under constant supervision . Parents/
guardians are expected to pay admission fee if swimming with the child .
If parents/guardians are supervising the child without access to the water
or swimming, access is free of charge .
• 11-14 year olds – A parent must regularly check on them and be identifiable
to Aquatic Staff . Parents/guardians are expected to pay admission fee if
swimming with the child . If supervising without access to the water or
swimming, access is free of charge .
• Children under 14 years are not allowed entry unless accompanied by a
parent or guardian 18 years or older . Parents/guardians are expected to pay
admission fee if swimming with the child . If supervising without access to
the water or swimming, access is free of charge .
