Held in Caracas the International Fatherland Congress
Twenty leaders
from around the
world
shared
with revolutionary militancy of
Venezuela during the Congress
of the Fatherland, on 13 and
14 July in the city
of Caracas. The
African continent was represented by the deputy of the Popular
Front of Tunisia, Ahmed Essaddik, and Professor Ibrahima Sene,
from the Party of Independence and Work of Senegal , who, in
coordination with other international guests and Venezuelan militants, outlined a series of recommendations for the strengthening
of the Bolivarian revolution.
The statement reiterated solidarity with the
Bolivarian revolution, saying that in Venezuela
there is no humanitarian crisis, but rather a
humanistic project. Also condemned imperialist
aggression, including the financial blockade,
recently evidenced by the arbitrary closure of
the internationals accounts of the nation by the
Citibank.
The statement ended with a strong support for
the revolution : " Venezuela is not alone, the
people of Latin America and the world are
with us. We said to the imperialism, do not try
to asphyxiate us. We will defend the homeland
of Chavez with the conviction to continue to
build dreams of freedom and social justice for
the region as a whole " .
Among the different
ways of killing liberty
there is no other more
homicidal for the Republic than impunity for
crime or the proscription
of virtue.
The joint statement, as a result of the discussions of the five plenary
held (social, economic, political, environmental and communicational) was presented to President Nicolas Maduro at the National
Pantheon, in the framework of the bicentenary of the death of
national hero Francisco de Miranda .
200th anniversary of Miranda´s death
The President of the Republic Nicolas Maduro, presided over the official ceremony in commemoration
of the bicentennial of the death of
Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda , at the National Pantheon,
reiterating that 200 years later,
the ideals of emancipation and
union of Miranda still live in the
struggles of the peoples of the continent.
The head of state highlighted three
key ideals that marked the life of
Miranda: the struggle for American
identity, the emancipatory strength
and the unity among the nations of
Francisco de Miranda
the continent.
During the ceremony, the Head of State
said that the same axes of imperial power
that tried to stop Miranda and his ideas of
independency, are now, 200 years later, the
same factors that try to stop the Bolivarian
Revolution.
He said that this fighter and independence
thinker was a military objective of the
Spanish crown, which haunted him for his
work in the missions accomplished in the
battle for the independence of the 13 colonies of the United States of America, in the
French Revolution and in Russia. "Since always Miranda was a man who sought the
freedom of thought new ideas for its time,"

President Maduro denounces economic
blockade by Citibank
The E-mail sent by international media to Citibank, division of international consumption of
US
financial
giant
Citigroup, replicated by
Bloomberg, specifically
cites the on-going evaluation of the cessation of operations as correspondent bank of
Venezuela, that is to say, the bank accounts by which the
country makes its payments abroad, appealing to a opaque
"risk assessment" without reliable data that could be contrasted
with reality, because Venezuela maintains a positive record on
its payments.
President Nicolas Maduro denounced this action as part of the
financial blockade that the US Government drives against the
country and he reiterated that "Nobody stops Venezuela, with
Citibank or without Citibank we will continue".
Worldwide Right Wing has created a global
media network against Venezuela
Caracas, July 16, 2016
(MPPRE).- During her
participation in the opinion program "José Vicente
Hoy", the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,
Delcy Rodríguez Gómez,
pointed out that the Organization of American
States (OAS) remains a
body that duplicates the interventionist model that the United
States seeks to impose on the countries of the region.
With regard to the theme of the Southern Common Market
(MERCOSUR by its Spanish acronym), The Foreign Minister
Delcy Rodríguez said that the founding treaties of the body are
key; in this regard, she detailed that Article 12 states that the
Presidency of the Council shall be chaired in turn by States parties in alphabetical order for a period of six months; then the
Treaty of Ouro Preto states in Article 5 that the Presidency of
the Council of the Common Market shall be chaired in turn by
States parties, in alphabetical order, for a period of six months”.
Finally, she denounced that the right wing has created an entire global network to move forward in their ambitions, “it
must be said, worldwide right wing is working against the President Nicolas Maduro; it prevails a class rejection, class hatred
against the President Nicolas Maduro”.
Miranda
2
By Elías Jaua
Two hundred years have gone by since that day
when the first big parricide of our republican history
was consummated, which had begun in 1812 when
Sebastian Francisco de Miranda was handed over to
the kingdom of Spain.
Miranda committed the sin of dreaming big about
Our America, of believing it was possible to build
republics among equal men and therefore free. Miranda bet on unity to be strong in defense of the
human cause. Miranda faced not only the Crown
and its Holy Inquisition, he, and his elevated
thought encountered the banality and hesitation of
most of the Mantuans in Caracas who did not want
a homeland, but economic power, even at the expense of political subordination to the Spanish metropolis.
The determination of Francisco de Miranda of attaining full independence and a society without
castes, led him to prison La Carraca, the same decision that led Bolívar 14 years after the death of the
precursor, to banishment in Santa Marta.
Sebastian Francisco conceived and defended an
idea that is why he never surrounded before his
peers or strangers. Not giving up that idea is the
reason why we have republics in all our America.
Our continent is the only one in the world that has
no monarchies, and that is the legacy of a Venezuelan: Miranda.
Today in the face of the hardships we are going
through for having chosen the difficult road of reassuming the Mirandian and the Bolivarian project
which has always upset the empires, we must take
strength from the rebel spirit of the forefathers of
our liberation, expressed in this thought of Miranda:
“Love your country! Always cherish that feeling, Invigorate it in all possible ways, the obstacles to serve
your country are so numerous, so formidable, so invincible, I’d say, that only the love for your country
will support you in your pursuit for its happiness.”
Today, hesitating in the face of difficulties is to meet
doom, the traditional weak claim for a new surrender to share power. At this time in our history they
should know that the empires and the Mantuans do
not accomplish the pacts with the free peoples. It is
the duty of the Bolivarian of this time, men and
women, of Chávez’s followers to embrace the just
idea we are defending. An independent homeland
to attain the victory of peace and prosperity. La
Carraca: Never more!
ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE BOLIVARIAN REVOLUTION
In 1988 only 80% of the population had access to fresh water. Today, 95% of the Venezuelans have access to it.

The Venezuelan people remembers Argelia Laya
A teacher, political activist and
social fighter, she defended the
right of women to education by
means of the program “Educating
for equality” through which an
education that eliminated sexism
in the educative process was implemented.
In the event of her 90th anniversary,
on July 10th homage was paid to the
fighter Argelia Laya, Afrovenezuelan
woman who devoted her live to the
academic training of many people as
well as to the struggle for democracy
in our country.
This proud Afro descendant embraced the armed struggle of the
Communist Party of Venezuela by
joining the clandestinity in the guerrilla movement of those times. In this
stage of her life, she moved about
the mountains of Lara under the
war name of “Commander Jacinta”.
Later on she would become the President of the ”Movement To the socialism” (Sp. M.A.S.)
She was always involved in the political issues in Venezuela and is an example of the political participation of
the Venezuelan women. She participated in movements and organizations in which she was an advocate of
the human rights of black women,
indigenous women and disabled
women. “We will fight for our rights
and for our country’s right, because
the problem of the equality of women is the problem of people’s liberation, she said once.

Kenya is ready to host
for six days, from Sunday 16th, the XIV the
United Nations Conference on trade and Development (Unctad), said the
leader of that organization the Kenyan Mukhisa Kituyi.
The opening session of the global meeting on trade, investment and development will be attended by the Secretary General of the United Nations Mr. Ban Ki- Moon,
confirmed the source. For the above-mentioned conference the majority of the seven thousand participants will
be arriving in Nairobi soon, among them, chiefs of states

the private sector among others. This will be the second
time in 40 years that the Kenyatta International Conventions Center in this capital hosts a meeting

Kituyi advanced that the meeting will discuss about the
world economy at present and will provide alternative for
the most acute problems of our times, all of them as a
result of globalization. Among those problem we have the
fact that globalization makes more emphasis on the financial economy than on the real economy and favors
bigger economic asymmetry, it also concentrates richness,
rejects social doctrines and policies that are different,
worsens the working conditions of workers, increases consumerism excessively and harms the environment, among
other evils.
