Introducing the Trail...
Welcome to Essex’s eighth Summer of Art, showcasing artists from across the
county from June to September.
The Brentwood Art Trail has been running since 2009 and, as a key part of this
Summer of Art, it is a great way to enjoy the work of the Borough’s many talented
artists.
Visitors can see a variety of work that will be displayed in participating shops and
businesses throughout Brentwood.
This year we have many free tours and talks planned for art afficianados of all
ages (see back cover).
We hope you enjoy the trail. Please feel free to share your photos and
observations via Twitter (@BwdArtTrail) using the hashtag #EssexSummerArt.
Please note that all artists, venues, and opening hours are subject to change. Errors and omissions excepted.

Tree Trail - NEW FOR 2016
We are lucky that Brentwood has beautiful
outdoor space. Brentwood Borough Council is
passionate about encouraging more residents
(and visitors from outside the Borough) to enjoy
local nature.
There seems to be a growing number of
requests to cut down local trees. The new
tree trail project aims to negate some of this
activity by encouraging an appreciation of trees
and their importance in the environment (and
indeed our everyday lives!).
Suffolk artist, Ben Loughrill, has taken 3 fallen
trees from across the Borough and carved them
into works of art that have been placed in the
following locations:
Seymour Fields, Ingatestone
Hutton Poplars
Warley Country Park
(at the intersection of Warley Hill and Pastoral Way,
just opposite Beechwood Surgery)
Please visit www.brentwoodarttrail.co.uk for a
map of the tree locations.
