REGULATORS
New XTX Regulators
For 2013, the entire range of XTX regulators has undergone a
refresh. New cosmetics coupled with great new features will
continue to make Apeks the brand most chosen by serious divers.
•Fresh new look across the entire range.
•Optional 5th port available for every model with the additional bonus of
an integrated heat exchanger on the XTX200 and XTX100 first stages.
•Braided flexi hoses are now standard on all models. These hoses are
lighter weight, more flexible and more durable.
•Following on the success of the anti-bacterial mouthpiece, anti-bacterial
additive has now been molded into most second stage components.
This is especially useful with shared equipment by providing added
protection against bacteria.
•The purge buttons are now larger and easier to operate. A 2-stage
progressive purge is used. Press the purge on the side for a lower flow
rate, useful where more control is required such as filling lift bags etc,
then press in the center for the full effect of the purge, i.e. whe
regulator clearing etc.
•A new larger venturi lever has been added with a soft touch rubber grip,
which makes it easier to locate and use.
Tungsten XTX

The XTX Tungsten is built upon the XTX200 platform but with a truly
unique, added feature: it is protected with a hard, durable PVD
(Physical Vapor Deposition) finish. This tough-as-nails finish is better than
traditional chrome plating. The coating is made of high quality grades
of Titanium, Zirconium and Chromium. The result is not only rich, but
protects your investment from normal diving abuse.
PRODUCT
•Features the innovative Diver Changeable Exhaust (DCE) System
allowing the diver to change from a large exhaust tee to a
smaller exhaust tee. The larger exhaust tee provides the best exhaust
bubble dispersion while the smaller tee is lighter weight and
compact, both are included with the regulator.
•The XTX Tungsten can be converted from a right handed hose
configuration to a left handed one. The process of changing
t h e r e g u l a t o r t o a l e f t h a n d e d configuration is both quick
and simple. However this procedure MUST only be performed
by an Apeks Authorized Service Technician.
•The ergonomic venturi lever of the XTX range has been designed to
reduce the amount of grit ingress.
•Available in yoke or din configuration.
•The silicone exhaust valve used on the XTX demand regulator
range improves the breathing performance of the regulator.

definitive blend of style and high performance. Every detail has
been carefully designed to offer a high quality piece of equipment.

The XTX50 Regulator is for the diver who wants the benefits of a feature-rich
regulator at a moderate price.

• This popular first stage has four medium-pressure ports all mounted on a
rotating turret. This results in optimal hose routing while eliminating
sharp bends in the hose.
• The first stage is over-balanced resulting in a higher medium
pressure at each depth. This translates to a very responsive, easy
breathing regulator.
• Since this pneumatically balanced second stage is part of the XTX family,
it has left /right reversibility providing multiple regulator configurations.
•Features the innovative Diver Changeable Exhaust (DCE) System

This first stage goes to the extreme and never disappoints making
it the regulator of choice for technical divers around the world.
•This regulator is similar to the XTX50 mentioned previously less the
rotating turret.
• The compact first stage is ideally suited for twin manifolds or for use on
a single valve.
• The one high-pressure port and four low-pressure ports are positioned for
most common technical diving rigs.
• The over-balanced first stage provides superior performance
at deeper depths.
• The first stage is dry-sealed preventing the entry of contaminants as well as ice
formation on the main spring.
• The XTX50 second stage is pneumatically balanced for very easy breathing

• The MBS is a new, simple and effective way to adjust the breathing
performance of your Legend LUX. The MBS controls two
functions at one time. It controls the direction of air, which alters the
venturi effect, as well as changes the opening effort.
One control - two functions, it doesn’t get easier.
Legend
The Legend shares the same features and performance as the
Legend LUX and Legend LX with one notable exception. Instead of
the MBS dual control valve, the Legend offers a venturi switch.
• The venturi switch helps prevent free flow at the surface and
when the regulator is out of the diver ’s mouth.
• The opening efforts is present in a fixed position so the diver
doesn’t have to worry about adjusting the regulator during the dive.

AIRSOURCE
Airsource
The Airsource combines a high-performance second stage with a power inflator. By eliminating
the need for a traditional octopus, the diver can streamline his entire system. In addition, unlike a
traditional octopus that can drag in the sand or damage coral, you’ll take comfort knowing that the
Airsource is right in front of you ready to deliver life saving air in a moment’s notice.
• The mouthpiece has been upgraded to Comfobite and is much sturdier.
• The MP hose has been upgraded to flexi hose which is lighter weight and more pliable.
• The ribbed hose is softer making it easier to pull open the rapid exhaust valve at the top.

The Airsource retains these great features:
• The second stage valve is pneumatically balanced resulting in unparalleled

• “Trim Grip” in the middle of the corrugated hose allows diver to dump

with the diver’s complete regulator for packing and traveling.

The Apeks Black Ice is a rugged, weight-integrated, back inflation BC designed with the advanced diver in mind.

• Wrapture™ harness system (pat. pend.) – Using patented swivel shoulder buckles and a proprietary,
ultra-thin back plate, the Wrapture™ provides unsurpassed comfort and stability. Wrapture™ prevents
the BC from “riding-up” on the surface. Out of the water, the Wrapture keeps the cylinder close to your
center of gravity and transfers the weight to your hips. The result is the ability to stand up straight
with a cylinder that is perfectly vertical.
• Because of the multiple size settings at the top of the shoulders as well as either
side of the waistband, a custom fit can be achieved through any one of 3 sizes.

• SureLock II Mechanical Weight Release System (patented) – provides a safe,
single-pull release. Inserting weight is as simple as insert and “click”.
With SureLock, your weights are secure in the BC. Once engaged,
the only way to release the weight is to pull on the handle.
• Dual channel weight pockets in front along with non-ditchable weight
pockets in back mean that all sizes can hold up to 42 lbs. (19kg).
• The Black Ice can be rigged for twin cylinders using the optional twin cylinder kit (p/n 427106).
• There are 4 dump valves in all, one in each corner. 3 are proprietary flat valves are very streamlined
and effective. The dump valve on the upper left is the rapid exhaust valve found at the top
of the Powerline inflator.
• The Powerline inflator assembly boasts one of the fastest inflation rates in the industry.
This environmentally sealed unit has integrated clips to keep the l.p. inflator hose tucked in tight.
• The air cell has several pass-throughs that allow easy air transfer from left to right.
• A triple bladder retraction system is used to pull in the sides of the bladder
during deflation. This keeps unit streamlined and reduces drag.
• The left pocket is a fold down design with deep capacity, perfect for an extra mask.
• The right pocket is a large utility pocket secured with a robust zipper.
• Knife attachment points are found on the left pocket flap which will accommodate
many of the Squeeze Lock knives. This location provides easy access to the knife.

Waist size in men is normally measured by placing the measuring tape around the waist, cresting
the pelvic bone. This measurement is not accurate for BC fitting. The waist size in men should be
measured at the height of the belly button just above the pelvic bone (Figure 1). Women’s waist
size is always measured just above the pelvic bone (Figure 1). This same measurement applies for BC fitting.
Over The Shoulder (OTS) measurement is taken by placing the measuring tape across either the
right or left shoulder and reading the distance between the top of the waist line on the back to
the top of the waist line in the front (Figure 2). Again, for this measurement in men the waistline
is taken to be at the height of the belly button. When fitting the customer in his/her respective
waist size and OTS range, inquire what thickness of wetsuit the BC is most likely to be worn with.
Calculate about a 2” allowance for the waist measurements for thick, cold water suits.

Single cylinder wings, often referred to as donuts, are oval shaped air
cells or bladders that are not permanently attached to a harness. While
single cylinder wings have their origins in the realm of technical diving,
they are becoming very popular in the recreational community.
Not only are these single cylinder wings streamlined, but due to their
shape being a continuous loop, they are very stable underwater. There is
no dramatic shift of air from left to right. Apeks single cylinder wings are

The Vyper Air includes Air, Nitrox and Gauge modes and gas switching. For divers using

The Suunto Vyper Air uses the Suunto Deep Stop RGBM algorithm that features continuous

Connect to the new Dive Manager 4 (DM4) and Movescount, Suunto’s online sports
community, with the USB interface cable. This new interface cable, p/n 182140,
has been redesigned for faster data transfer. It is not only compatible with the new
D–series wrist top computers, D9tx, D6i & D4i but is also backwards compatible
with the previous D-series wrist tops.
Please note:
• The previous D-series USB Interface Cable, part number 12513 is not
compatible with the new D-series, D9tx, D6i & D4i.

Wrist Top Computer
Suunto HelO2 is the first dive computer from Suunto with full mixed gas capability. It is rated to
120 m/393 ft and incorporates the new Suunto Technical RGBM algorithm. Based on the RGBM
algorithm developed by highly recognized decompression scientist, Dr. Bruce Wienke, the Suunto Technical RGMB algorithm extends decompression flexibility into the world of technical diving.
The algorithm introduces helium tissue groups in the decompression model to enable trimix
diving, as well as diving on air and nitrox. It allows eight gases to be programmed as primary or
secondary gases, and enables oxygen content of 8-100%, and helium content of 0-92%. For the
technical diver, the algorithm provides increased flexibility and reduces tasks while
decompressing by eliminating the need to constantly monitor a slate and watch.
Technical Dive Planner
The Suunto technical dive planner is an easy-to-use
graphical planner for planning dive profiles, gases, and
back-up plans. The intuitive interface enables the diver
to try different variations of depth, time, gases and partial pressures without having to continuously recalculate.
Suunto technical dive planner calculates all changes instantly and presents the results on on easy-to-read graph.
When ready, the diver can simply export the planned
gases and other dive-critical information from PC to dive
computer with the included USB cable – removing the
need to copy all the calculations onto a slate. Divers are also provided with gas mixing instructions
for their planned dive, which they can print out and give to a dive shop if not mixing themselves.
The Suunto technical dive planner enables divers to plan dive series based on real dive profiles
– not planned dive profiles – making the plans for later dives in the series more accurate and
realistic. The planner also allows divers to compare the planned dive and the and actual dive,
helping them pinpoint future areas of improvement in both planning and diving.

and welded to the fusion suit dry core. The external
Fusion Boot is made to be durable, highly flexible

What are Polytex Seals?
Whites Polytex seals are a combination of Vulcanized Natural
Rubber Latex and Polyurethane. The Polyurethane stabilizes
the Latex and helps inhibit the seal from tearing. Ever get a
small tear in a seal and it runs the length when donning the
Drysuit? Although not indestructible, Polytex reduces this
tendency and allows for a repair to be made to the seal, not
necessarily making a replacement mandatory. Additional
anti-aging ingredients are added to combat the effects
of ultra-violet light, ozone and copper. These additions make for a
tougher, longer lasting seal when compared to standard
latex seals.

The different thicknesses have been strategically placed for easy donning and doffing as well as
properly insulating high heat-loss areas.
• The hood is 6mm thick with a 4mm skin-in face seal which can be easily trimmed.
• The vest has 5mm front and back panels with 3mm sides for ease of donning and doffing.
• A bubble vent built into the hood allows trapped exhaust bubbles from the

DRY100L single core with drain dump
The DRY100 is made of a 1000D Nylon Core 0.6mm thick Tarpaulin which is
designed to protect your gear from the most extreme environments.
The bag provides 113 litres of packing capacity and features a 33” (84cm
wide mouth roll-top to make it easy to stuff your kit in the bag. The bottom is
a polymer reinforced foam that reduces impact force and is hard-wearing
Removable backpack straps make those long hikes to beach and cave dive
way easier.
The side pocket/changing mat is removable so you don’t have to haul you
whole bag out to protect your gear while you change out of your suit.
The drain dump means you can even use your bag as a kit wash bath!

The DRY12’s main function is to modularly attach to the
Apeks DRY100 & DRY60.
The four stainless steel karabiners on the DRY12 latch to the four stainless
steel D-rings over the Apeks logo on the side of the DRY100. When attached,
the waterproof roll-top opening on the DRY12 is conveniently located and
easily accessible.
The DRY60 has four locations to attach multiple DRY12 bags. This increases
your DRY60’s packing capacity by 48 litres. It also provides four added dry

The DRY12 also holds up on its own. The four karabiners and adjustable straps

Bailout Switch Block
The Bailout Switch Block allows the diver to switch from a primary gas supply to an alternate bailout gas supply
(Emergency Gas Supply – EGS). The Switch Block is used with any diving helmet or full face mask with
a medium or low pressure gas supply.

TDACBHP - Two Diver Air Control Panel
The Two Diver Air Control Box - High Pressure and its variants are all composed of materials
designed to resist offshore/saltwater environments. The case is made out of high-impact plastic
and is water tight when closed and locked. A stainless steel faceplate resists corrosion and
houses two 0.50% accuracy pneumo gauges which are plumbed with pneumatic nylon tubing.
The air manifold is made of brass for rugged, reliable use in the field.

This compact air bottle system is an emergency air source designed for air crews and
passengers for use in accidental aircraft ditching. The SEA is used for aircrew and passengers who fly over water in their mission profiles. The system weighs less than three
pounds and has a remote mouthpiece for hands-free operations and unrestricted head
movement. This system is perfect for aviators, ground soldiers who fly as passengers
over water and for other applications that require an emergency breathing device. The
pressure indicator is available in either a spring PIN indicator or an analog DIAL gauge.
The LV2 second stage with the new flexible hose is the latest technology.
