Vette Set Gazette Sep 2016 - Corvette Club of Rhode Island
Volume 52 Issue 9 Presidens Message Sep 1st 2016 Vette Set Gazette CORVETTE CLUB OF RHODE ISLAND 3.0 I am writing this message the day after our “successful” 46th Annual Corvettes by the Sea because I want to make sure I don’t forget to thank every single person that made it another “successful” year. I would like to thank the Board of Directors, the Team Captains, the Volunteers and the Members that attended for their undying support, hard work, and collaboration in making this year’s show a complete success at the new location, Scalabrini Villa. With it being a new venue, there were many concerns. The numerous hours, some late hours and tons of texting between the Board of Directors made it all worth it, in making sure that every detail was identified. The day finally arrived, the weather was beautiful and everything fell into place! We had over 200 plus cars attend! Our generous sponsor, Paul Masse, and his group rolled in with some incredible automobiles, contributing donations throughout the day to our raffle table, which only made the day that much more exciting! The Team at the Membership Table, the Raffle Table, our NCM table, our Quartermaster table and our Food Drive group did an outstanding job in bringing donations, selling raffles, and keeping everything organized and professional. I watched spectators and members walk away with some great raffles. Our Vendors were busy informing our guests, everyone was enjoying the food, the warm weather and the view. Without the dedication and hard working efforts of the Board of Directors, their teams and Captains, along with the support of our Members and Sponsor, this would not have happened. I have said it once and will say it again; it is my honor and privilege to serve as your President of this great Club in New England! The Corvette Club, its members, sponsors, officials and volunteers are a group of car enthusiasts that are “FAMILY”. Like with our own family, there will always be differences of opinions, but when it comes down to the final countdown, everyone worked hard and got the JOB DONE! The Shows are over; please support the Food Drive to its end – the final results will be astounding. I thank you for your generosity to this good cause. I am looking forward to hearing the results from the Bowl – a – Thon and hope to see my “family” there to support our own, Ken Redman, in his quest to “Bowl Out Hunger” here in Rhode Island! GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND THANK YOU PRESIDENT CCRI JIM CAMPANINI “SAVE THE WAVE” Break Down Lane ● Calendar/ pages 2 & 3 General Club Info/ pg 20,21 B’days & Sunshine / page 4 NCM / pg 22...25 Membership & Messages / page 5 Activities Cmty / page 6 Local socials & Events/ pg 7,8,9, ● Officers & Appointees / page 26 Media & Comm. / pages 27...29 ● Application page 30 Local News/ pg 10,11, 12 Ads & Sponsor / pages 31… 33 Event & Social Photos/ pg 13,...17 Sect.
